<P>The flux-weighted average cross sections of the Y-89(gamma,xn; x = 1- 4)Y-89 x reactions and the isomeric yield ratios of the Y-87m,Y-g, Y-86m,Y-g, and (85m,)gY radionuclides produced in these reactions with the bremsstrahlung end-point energies of 65, 70 and 75 MeV have been determined by an activation and off-line gamma-ray spectrometric technique using the 100 MeV electron linac in Pohang Accelerator Laboratory, Korea. The theoretical Y-89(gamma, xn; x = 1-4)Y89-x reactioncross sections for mono- energetic photonshave been calculated using the computer code TALYS 1.6. Then the flux- weighted theoretical values were obtaind to compare with the present data. The flux- weighted experimental and theoretical (89Y)(gamma,xn; x =1-4)Y89-x reaction cross sections increase very fast from the threshold values to a certain bremsstrahlung energy, wherethe other reaction channels open up. Thereafter it remains constant a while and then slowly decreases with the increase of cross sections for other reactions. Similarly, the isomeric yield ratios of Y-87m,Y-g, Y-86m,Y-g and Y-85m,Y- in the Y-89(gamma,xn; x =2-4)Y89-x reactions from the present work and literature data show an increasing trend from their respective threshold values to a certain bremsstrahlung energy. After a certain point ofenergy, the isomeric yield ratios increase slowly with the bremsstrahlung energy. These observations indicate therole of excitation energy and its partitioning in different reaction channels.</P>
Pulmonary Embolism Secondary to Hydatid Cyst of the Right Ventricle: A Case Report
Tatari Souzan,Shasha Nabil,Al-Asmar Said,Itani Osman,Serhal Karol,Dabbagh Ahmad 아시아심장혈관영상의학회 2021 Cardiovascular Imaging Asia Vol.5 No.2
Cardiac hydatid cyst is a rare disease that accounts for 0.5–2% of all hydatid disease. It most commonly involves the left ventricle (60%), followed by the right ventricle (15%), interventricular septum (5–9%), and right atrium (3–4%). A 54-year-old female, who presented with dyspnea was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism and was found to have cardiac hydatid cyst of the right ventricle. The patient was successfully treated with surgery plus albendazole therapy pre- and post-surgery.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The isomeric yield ratios of 86m,gY, 87m,gY, and 89m,gZr produced in the reactions of 89Y and natZr with end-point bremsstrahlung energies of 45 and 55MeV have been determined by activation and off-line γ-ray spectrometric technique using the 100MeV electron linac at Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL), Korea. The present data along with literature data show that the isomeric yield ratios of 86m,gY and 87m,gY in the 89Y(γ,xn) and natZr(γ,x) reactions and those of 89m,gZr in the natZr(γ,x) reaction increase with the end-point bremsstrahlung energy, which indicates the effect of excitation energy. However, the increase trend of the isomeric yield ratios of 87m,gY in the 89Y(γ,xn) reaction and 89m,gZr in the natZr(γ,x) reaction are very fast from the threshold value to 30MeV due to the giant dipole resonance effect. After certain point of excitation energy, the isomeric yield ratios increase slowly with the end-point bremsstrahlung energy due to the partition of energy in different reaction channels. It was also observed that in both the reactions, the isomeric yield ratios of 87m,gY are always higher than those of 86m,gY. This is because of more number of particle emission and thus the disposition of more excitation energy needed for the formation of 86m,gY compared to 87m,gY.</P>

This study was conducted on in vitro induction of bulblets from bulb scale explants of Lilium ledebourii and Lilium × Gironde (Asiatic hybrid). Apical and basal segments of bulb scales were cut separately and cultured aseptically on MS basal medium supplemented with different concentrations of 6-benzyladenine (BA) at 0.01 and 0.1 ㎎ㆍℓ?¹ and α-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) at 0.01 and 0.1 ㎎ㆍℓ?¹ and on a medium without plant growth regulators. The greater number and fresh weight of L. ledebourii bulb lets were obtained on medium without plant growth regulators. For Asiatic hybrid, however, the greater number and fresh weight of bulb lets (9.16 and 1.1g, respectively) increased on medium containing BA plus NAA at equal concentrations of 0.1 ㎎ㆍℓ?¹. In both species, the highest number of roots was obtained on medium containing 0.1㎎ㆍℓ?¹ NAA without BA. Basal parts of bulb were more effective than the apical sections.

Background: Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) increases the psychological flexibility of people afflicted with cancer, and consequently improves their adaptability. The present research was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of ACT for people afflicted with cancer. Materials and Methods: The present research was of semi-pilot type with a pre-test and post-test plan for the proof group. The demographics of the community were composed of all the women with cancer who were under treatment in Tehran's Dehshpour therapeutic center in 2015. The sample was composed of 24 people who were selected as available and chosen randomly in two groups of test and proof. All the participants responded to Snyder questionnaire in two pre-test and post-test stages, and the test group participated in treatment sessions after conducting the pre-test. Results: After collecting the information, data analysis was conducted in two description and inferential levels. The test results of covariance analysis showed that the two groups' hope was meaningfully different. Hope in the test group, compared to the proof group, increased meaningfully. Conclusions: The results show that the ACT is effective in increasing hope of patients with cancer.

The excitation functions of 93mMo and 91m,92m,95m,gNb produced from alpha-induced reactions on 93Nb were measured from their respective threshold to 39.5 MeV. The study was conducted using the alpha beam from the Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata, India, the stacked foil activation technique and the off-line gamma ray spectrometric technique. The integral yields for a thick target were also deduced from the measured cross-sections and the stopping power of niobium. The results were compared with earlier reported data as well as with the theoretical values obtained from the TENDL-2013 library based on the TALYS-1.6 code.
