Imaging Findings of Pneumothorax Caused by Bronchial Cartilage Hypoplasia in a Dog

10년령의 중성화된 수컷 Poodle이 기흉이 의심되어 내원하였다. 어릴 때부터 기침증상을 보이다가 약 2주 전부터 악화되었으며, 혈액검사 및 요검사에서 유의적인 특이소견은 발견되지 않았다. 흉부 방사선 영상에서 기흉 소견 및 좌측 전엽 부위 기관지의 단절과 고도로 감소된 폐 실질이 관찰되었다. 흉부의 CT 영상 검사에서, 좌측 전엽과 덧엽에서 몇 개의 cyst들과 허탈된 폐가 관찰되었다. 또한 이 부위에서 기관지와 세기관지들은 비정상적인 형태로 끝부분이 가늘어지지 않았으며, 그 외에도 기흉, 기종격, 그리고 피하 기종이 확인되었다. 이러한 영상학적 특징들로부터 기종성 수포의 파열에 의해 발생한 자발성 기흉이 고려되었으며, 그 원인으로는 선천적인 기관지의 이상 또는 기관지 가지의 기형이 고려되었다. 부분적인 폐 덧엽 절제술이 실시되었으며, 좌측 전엽, 우측 중엽, 그리고 덧엽의 저형성이 확인되었고 특히 덧엽에서는 공기가 새고 있는 수포가 확인되었다. 조직병리학적 검사를 통해 기관지 연골 저형성으로 최종 진단되었다. A 10-year-old, castrated poodle dog presented with a cough for 2 weeks, and the cough initially developed since very young age. On radiographs, pneumothorax was noticed by characteristics of radiolucent area without pulmonary markings along the thoracic wall and diaphragm, retracted lung lobes from the thoracic wall and severely decreased volume of the left cranial lung lobe with disconnected bronchus. Computed tomography (CT) findings identified several pulmonary air-filled cysts and collapsed lung with abnormal shape and non-tapered end of bronchus, bronchioles at the accessory lobe and left cranial lobe. Also, pneumothorax, pneumomediastinum and subcutaneous emphysema were found. Imaging diagnosis was the spontaneous pneumothorax caused by ruptured emphysematous bullae associated with congenital bronchial cartilage abnormality or bronchial tree malformation. On surgery, hypoplasia of the left cranial lobe, right middle lobe, and accessory lobe with a bulla where air was leaking was identified. The accessory lobe was partially resected and bronchial cartilage hypoplasia was confirmed by histopathologic examination.

정제된 먹물버섯(Coprinus comatus) laccase에 의한 염료 탈색

먹물버섯 Coprinus comatus를 yeast extract peptone dextrose 액체배지에서 배양하고 laccase의 생성 분비를 확인하였다. 이 때 분비된 laccase를 이온교환수지 방법과 전기영동 분획수집방법으로 순수하게 정제하였다. 정제된 효소단백질의 분자량은 SDS-PAGE로 분석하였을 때 약 67 kDa으로 나타났고 최적산도는 pH 4.3, 최적온도는 $25^{\circ}C$로 확인되었다. 기질 o-tolidine에 대한 Km 값은 0.45 mM, Vmax 값은 0.0132 OD/min/unit로 나타났다. 정제된 laccase를 사용하여 염료 RBBR과 Poly R-478의 탈색을 분석한 결과 배양 12시간 후에 RBBR은 49.3% 탈색되었고 poly R-478은 41.6% 탈색되었다. An inky cap, Coprinus comatus synthesizes and secretes a laccase in the liquid yeast extract peptone dextrose medium. We have successfully purified the enzyme through the ion-exchange chromatography and the preparative gel electrophoresis. The estimated molecular weight was 67 kDa by the SDS-PAGE analysis. Optimum pH was pH 4.3 and optimum temperature was $25^{\circ}C$. The Km value was 0.45 mM and the Vmax was 0.0132 OD/min/unit for o-tolidine. Purified laccase showed 49.3% decolorizing activity against remazol brilliant blue R (RBBR) and 41.6% decolorizing activity against Poly R-478 after 12 h incubation.

멀티캐스트 수송계층 프로토콜을 지원하기 위한 T.120 수렴계층 프로토콜의 설계 및 구현

본 논문에서는 현대 데이터 컨퍼런싱 분야에서 국제적인 표준으로 되어있는 T.120시리즈의 핵심 기술인 MCS를 멀티캐스트 수송계층 포르토콜 위에서 수행하기 위한 알고리듬을 제안하고 이에 따른 구현 구조를 기술하였다. 구현된 알고리즘은 기존의 MCS와 역방향 호환성을 유지하면서 새로운 멀티캐스트 수송계층의 기능을 충분히 이용할 수 있게 하였다. 이를 위하여 MCS의 연결설정 시에 상대의 수송계층이 멀티캐스트 기능을 가지고 있는 지를 조사하여 멀티캐스트 기능이 있다면 멀티캐스트 수송계층의 기능을 이용하고, 없다면 단일 수송계층을 이용하게 된다. 이러한 기술적인 내용에 대하여는 T.120 시리즈의 상호운용성 시험을 주관하는 IMTC에 기고될 예정이다. In this paper, we proposed the algorithm to run MCS protocol, the core technology of T.120 series, over Multicast Transport Protocol and described an implementation architecture we proposed. An algorithm implemented can utilize some functions of Multicast Transport Layer fully, keeping the backward compatibility with the existing Mes. In order to do so, when a connection sets up, the Multicast Transport Layer looks into whether that of the peer entity does have multicast functionality. If it has, multicast functionality can be used. Unless, it can not. We are going to contribute these technologies to IMTC organizing the interoperability test of T.l20 series.

온도에 따른 암모니아 용액에 의한 CO<sub>2</sub> 포집 반응의 변화 양상

The features of the capture reaction of $CO_2$ by ammonia solution have been investigated along with the effect of temperature on the reaction based upon computer program-utilizing calculation and thermodynamic estimation. The stable region of $CO{_3}^{2-}$ was observed to increase with temperature and the change of the stable region of $CO{_3}^{2-}$ with temperature was greater than the temperature variation of the stable region of other carbonate species. The distribution diagram for $NH_4{^+}-NH_3$ system was constructed and the rise of temperature resulted in the decrease of the stability of $NH_4{^+}$ ion, which was thought to be due to the endothermic nature of its acidic dissociation. Considering the introduction of $Ca^{2+}$ ion in the carbon capture reaction by $NH_4{^+}$, the temperature was observed to be important in the determination of the order of reaction between carbonate ion and these cations. The removal process of $CO_2$ gas by ammonia solution was presumed to occur in open system and the temperature variations of the concentration of carbonate system species along with their total concentration were calculated for the proper control and design of the real process.

MSDs(Musculoskeletal Disorders) symptoms related to infants-rearing was evaluated on 207 Korean caregivers who taking care of their infants under 36 months on January and February 2005. In Result, 77 percentages caregivers suffered from MSDs symptoms that occurred more than one time for 1 month during the last one year or last for more than one week (by NIOSH). This results shows that MSDs problems of Korean infants caregivers are very serious. Body parts complained of MSDs symptoms were low back(61%), shoulder(60%), hand/wrist(46%), neck(37%), upper back(35%). Parenting stress of the caregivers who had MSDs symptoms was significantly higher than who didn't showed MSDs symptoms.

In this paper, we present a new mechanism applying more strict priority than RIO mechanism proposed as a drop precedence policy of AF classes in differentiated services. In this mechanism, applying strict priority to drop precedence policy, we get better performance on priority level. Simulation results indicate that the proposed mechanism may provide more efficient and more strict priority transmissions as compared to RIO regardless of traffic load.
