      • IMT-2000 교환기에서의 서비스 교환 자원 관리 기능 설계 및 구현

        IMT-2000 is a third generation mobile telecommunication system, which aims to provide multimedia services under muti-environments and global roaming services over the world. The objective of this paper is to propose the design and implementation schemes of the service switching resource library function (SSRL) in the IMT-2000 MSC. To propose these schemes, we first introduce a SSF functional model architecture and interworking relationship between its functions. For design schemes, we second propose the structure of SSRL and it interface with other functions. Subsequently, we define the libraries and database for SSRL. Finally, we implement the SSRL functionality by the design of detail data structure of the libraries and database and by the SDL flow diagrams for operational algorithms of the SSRL.

        Background: The OR(operating room) should provide an optimum environment that is safe for the patient and the working personnel. The air ventilation system of OR has been studied to decrease the contamination of air. We investigated the flow and contamination of the air in OR at our hospital. Method: Cultures in OR were made and the number of bacteria and fungi were calculated. A two-dimensional model for the cross-section of an operation room is developed for the CFD (computational fluid dynamics) analysis. The characteristics of air flow in the empty operation room and in the occupied operation room are calculated by using a CFD program. Results: The current air ventilation system of our hospital does not deliver the clean air to the operating site efficiently in occupied OR. Conclusions: We suggested a new location of air ventilation system which improves air venting with little increase of the cost of equipment.

      • Location Management System for the Socially Disadvantaged Using Wearable Device Shoes

        The families of patients who are socially disadvantaged are always anxious about their relatives being able to return home every time they leave the house. Although a variety of location management systems have been proposed to deal with such issues, these systems have a limited service range or even cause inconvenience for the socially disadvantaged by making them always carry a device, together with the possibility of getting lost. To resolve this issue, this study designed and implemented a location management system for the socially disadvantaged by attaching a GPS receiver and a CDMA modem on their shoes in order to register the location of a socially disadvantaged person to a server in real-time, which allows a guardian to identify his/her family member’s location from any place, at any time. In addition, the developed system has been verified by a core function test.

        홈 네트워크 기반의 효율적인 화분관리시스템 설계 및 구현

        대부분의 가정이나 사무실에서 인테리어 또는 관상용으로 화분에 화초를 심어 기르고 있으나 바쁜 일상생활 및 전문지식 부족으로 인해 화분 관리에 어려움이 따르고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 화분관리의 어려움을 해결하기 위해 자동제어, 수동제어, 그리고 이동단말기와 PC를 통한 원격제어 및 모니터링 기능을 통해 효율적으로 화분을 관 리할 수 있는 홈 네트워크 기반의 화분관리시스템을 설계 및 구현하고자 한다. 이를 위해 화분관리시스템의 구조, 정 보 흐름, 동작 제어 흐름을 설계하고 설계된 내용에 기초하여 시스템을 구현하였다. 그리고 10가지 항목에 대한 기능 시험을 통해 구현된 시스템을 검증하였다. 이를 통해 기존의 관상용 화초관리 시스템 및 가전기기중심의 홈 네트워크 시스템에 비해 효율적으로 화분을 관리할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. At most of the home or office, we have planted ornamental plants raised in pots, but it is difficult to follow because of busy life and lack of expertise in plants management. In this paper, we intend to design and implement a home network-based potted plants management system to solve the difficulty of plants management. To attain this end, firstly, we designed the structure of the plants management system, information flows and operation control flows. Secondly, we implemented the system based on designed results. Finally, we verified the implemented system through the functionality test for 10 items. In the results, it is expected that we can manage the potted plants efficiently than existing ornamental plant management systems and home network systems focusing appliances.

      • 차세대 지능망 기반의 IMT-2000 교환기에서의 UPT 서비스 호 시나리오

        A promising telecommunication system so called IMT-2000 is forecasted to cover almost 50 percent of telecommunication services, which will be provided in the beginning of the year 2000. The system offers high quality service such as data, image, and video as well as voice. UPT, which offers the personal mobility, is recognized as an important service because we can bind a variety of wire or wireless networks as single number. This paper discusses the design of IMT-2000 MSC based on AIN and UPT service in the MSC. First, we propose the system structure of the IMT-2000 MSC, as a platform of UPT service implementation, Based on this, we define main functions and its blocks of the IMT-2000 MSC. Third, we present the structure of SSF and its operational mechanism to support the IN services such as UPT. Finally, we present the detail UPT service implementation for the IMT-2000 MSC through the design of UPT call flows between software blocks, which are the minimum units, within the IMT-2000 MSC.

        화자 인증 기능이 포함된 실시간 원격 도어락 제어 시스템 개발에 관한 연구

        본 논문에서는 휴대폰을 이용하여 방문자의 음성이나 영상을 원격으로 확인할 수 있는 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. 이 시스템은 주인이 집에 없을 때라도 휴대폰으로 단문 메시지가 아닌 자동 호출 서비스를 통해 방문자가 누구인지를 알 수 있도록 설계되어 있다. 일반적으로 도어락은 홈 서버를 통해 제어되지만, 실 시간 측면에서 볼 때 DTMF 신호를 이용하여 도어락을 제어하는 것이 더 효율적이다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 기술은 손님이 집에 방문하였을 경우 주인이 외출 중이더라도 시스템을 통해 주인의 휴대폰에 자동으로 전화하여 음성 및 영상으로 손님과 주인간에 통화를 가능하게 하고, 필요 시 주인이 도어락을 원거리에서 제어할 수 있게 한다. 이를 통해 주인은 방문자 확인 및 도어락 제어에 시간과 공간의 제약을 받지 않는다, 또한 휴대폰 분실 시 발생할 수 있는 보안상의 악영향을 고려하여 도어락 제어 및 환경 설정 시에 필요한 인증 절차를 기존의 패스워드 형태에서 패스워드 및 화자 인중의 혼합 형태로 설계하여 보안 체계를 향상시킨다. 그리고, 통화중에 DTMF 신호를 사용하여 도어락을 실 시간적으로 제어함으로써 도어락 제어를 위해 망에 재 접속해야 하는 기존의 문제점을 해결토록 한다. The paper attempts to design and implement the system which can remotely check visitors' speech or image by a mobile phone. This system is designed to recognize who a visitor is through the automatic calling service, not through a short message, via the mobile phone, even when the home owner is outside. In general, door locks are controlled through the home server, but it is more effective to control door locks by using DTMF signal from a real-time point of view. The technology suggested in this paper makes it possible to communicate between the visitor and the home owner by making a phone call to the home owner's mobile phone automatically when the visitor visits the house even if the home owner is outside, and if necessary, it allows for the home owner to control the door lock remotely. Thanks to the system, the home owner is not restricted by time or space for checking the visitor's identification and controlling the door lock. In addition, the security system is improved by changing from the existing password form to the combination of password and speaker verification for the verification procedure required for controlling the door lock and setting the environment under consideration of any disadvantages which may occur when the mobile phone is lost. Also, any existing problems such as reconnection to the network for controlling the door lock are solved by controlling the door lock in real time by use of DTMF signal while on the phone.

      • IMT - 2000 교환기에서의 지능망 서비스 기능 설계 및 구현

        IMT-2000 is the third generation mobile communication system, which aims to unify the various mobile communications networks and services into one to provide many mobile communications. The system can provide multimedia services under multi-environments through various air interfaces including land, marine, and satellite communications. The objective of this paper is to propose the schemes to design and implement the advanced intelligent network services in the IMT-2000 mobile switching center. Firstly, we propose a functional model for the IMT-2000 MSC to support the IN service, and describe the interworking across functional blocks. Secondly, we design information flows for UPT service, which is an example of IN services. On the basis of it, we finally present SDL diagrams, libraries and databases for the implementation of the service switching function in the IMT-2000 MSC.
