Objectives: This study aimed to examine the frequency of convenience food consumption at convenience stores (CVS) and the CVS usage patterns of middle and high school students as well as to understand students’ attitude toward sodium and sugar reduction. Methods: We used an online questionnaire for data collection. The questionnaire comprised five distinct categories: general characteristics, CVS usage, frequency of consumption according to convenience food menus at CVS, attitude toward sodium and sugar reduction, and adherence to dietary guidelines. Results: A total of 75 students from Seoul (14 middle school students and 61 high school students) participated in the study. Most respondents visit CVS 3-5 times a week. CVS are predominantly used during weekdays, mostly during lunch, and dinner. The students mostly checked the caloric content and expiration date as food labeling information. The participants were aware of the need to reduce their sugar and sodium intake. Among frequent CVS convenience food consumers, there was an increased consideration of the need to reduce their sugar and sodium consumption, despite their actual selection of foods with high sugar and sodium content. Additionally, they did not check the sugar and sodium levels indicated in food labeling. Further, the dietary action guide from the Ministry of Health and Welfare were poorly followed by most students. Conclusions: There is a need for nutrition education specifically addressing the sugar and sodium content of the convenience foods predominantly consumed by students. Additionally, educating students with frequent convenience food consumption to actively check the sugar and sodium information on food labels could help promote healthier food choices.

본 연구는 다국적기업의 해외자회사들 간의 관계적 특성들이 마케팅지식공유과정에서 촉진제로서의 역할을 하는지를 살펴보고, 이러한 마케팅지식공유활동의 결과를 재무적 성과와 직결시키려 했던 기존 연구들과는 달리 공유된 마케팅지식의 질과 그에 대한 자회사의 만족감을 통해 분석하며, 이를 통해 해외자회사들간 마케팅지식공유의 선행요인과 결과를 포함하는 통합적인 프레임워크를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 진행되었다. 가설 검증을 위한 자료수집은 한국증권거래소에 상장된 다국적기업 소속의 해외자회사를 대상으로 하여 이메일 설문조사방식을 통해 이뤄졌으며, PLS(부분최소자승법)를 이용한 경로분석을 실시하였다. 실증분석 결과를 요약해보면, 해외자회사들 간의 마케팅지식공유가 가지는 시너지나 효율성을 감안할 때 다국적기업은 그들의 자회사가 긍정적인 관계를 형성할 수 있게끔 해줘야 함을 알 수 있다. 그 중에서도 특히 해외자회사들에게 상호관련성이 높은 마케팅 업무나 전략적 역할을 위임하고, 상호 신뢰를 쌓을 수 있는 여건을 조성해야 할 것이다. 또한 다른 해외자회사들과 적극적으로 마케팅지식을 공유하는 자회사일수록 만족도가 높은 것으로 발견되었다. 한편, 적극적인 지식공유가 항상 높은 만족도를 보장하는 것은 아니라, 적극적인 공유활동에 개입함으로써 그 결과 공유되는 지식의 질이 개선되고 따라서 해당 자회사의 만족도가 높아지는 부분도 있는 것으로 나타났다. This paper attempts to examine how the relationship factors of peer foreign subsidiaries in MNEs affect marketing knowledge sharing activity between them and whether the activity guarantees the quality of the shared knowledge and leads to marketing knowledge sharing satisfaction. The research model were tested with the data collected from 113 foreign subsidiaries of Korean MNEs publicly listed in the Korean Stock Exchange, using PLS method. The empirical results show that mutual dependence and trust between them were found to positively influence the extent to which they are actively involved in marketing knowledge sharing and more satisfaction is expected in foreign subsidiaries which share marketing knowledge actively. However, active sharing of marketing knowledge does not always satisfy the parties. They are satisfied only when the shared knowledge is of good quality. The result shows more active sharing of marketing knowledge improves the quality of the shared knowledge owing to a kind of experience and a learning effect and consequently, the subsidiaries are more satisfied.

<P><B>Significance</B></P><P>Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the major causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide, but targeted therapy for GC is limited. Here, we identified two druggable targets from genomic alteration profiling of 103 patients with GC from Asia and validated the target suitability using patient-derived GC xenograft models, which recapitulate the tumor biology observed in patients. Combination therapy of irinotecan (standard treatment) with a <I>BCL2L1</I> (<I>BCL2</I>-like 1)-targeted drug was effective in size reduction of GC tumors having amplification of the <I>BCL2L1</I> gene, and genomic mutations of deleted in liver cancer 1 (<I>DLC1</I>) were associated with increased sensitivity to a ROCK inhibitor. Therefore, our study strongly suggests that <I>BCL2L1</I> and <I>DLC1</I> can serve as targets for novel GC therapies.</P><P>Gastric cancer (GC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Recent high-throughput analyses of genomic alterations revealed several driver genes and altered pathways in GC. However, therapeutic applications from genomic data are limited, largely as a result of the lack of druggable molecular targets and preclinical models for drug selection. To identify new therapeutic targets for GC, we performed array comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) of DNA from 103 patients with GC for copy number alteration (CNA) analysis, and whole-exome sequencing from 55 GCs from the same patients for mutation profiling. Pathway analysis showed recurrent alterations in the Wnt signaling [<I>APC</I>, <I>CTNNB1</I>, and <I>DLC1</I> (deleted in liver cancer 1)], ErbB signaling (<I>ERBB2</I>, <I>PIK3CA</I>, and <I>KRAS</I>), and p53 signaling/apoptosis [<I>TP53</I> and <I>BCL2L1</I> (BCL2-like 1)] pathways. In 18.4% of GC cases (19/103), amplification of the antiapoptotic gene <I>BCL2L1</I> was observed, and subsequently a <I>BCL2L1</I> inhibitor was shown to markedly decrease cell viability in <I>BCL2L1</I>-amplified cell lines and in similarly altered patient-derived GC xenografts, especially when combined with other chemotherapeutic agents. In 10.9% of cases (6/55), mutations in <I>DLC1</I> were found and were also shown to confer a growth advantage for these cells via activation of Rho-ROCK signaling, rendering these cells more susceptible to a ROCK inhibitor. Taken together, our study implicates <I>BCL2L1</I> and <I>DLC1</I> as potential druggable targets for specific subsets of GC cases.</P>

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder associated with impaired social behavior and communication, repetitive behaviors, and restricted interests. In addition to genetic factors, environmental factors such as prenatal drug exposure contribute to the development of ASD. However, how those prenatal factors induce behavioral deficits in the adult stage is not clear. To elucidate ASD pathogenesis at the molecular level, we performed a high-resolution mass spectrometry-based quantitative proteomic analysis on the prefrontal cortex (PFC) of mice exposed to valproic acid (VPA) in utero, a widely used animal model of ASD. Differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) in VPA-exposed mice showed significant overlap with ASD risk genes, including differentially expressed genes from the postmortem cortex of ASD patients. Functional annotations of the DEPs revealed significant enrichment in the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, which is dysregulated by the upregulation of Rnf146 in VPA-exposed mice. Consistently, overexpressing Rnf146 in the PFC impaired social behaviors and altered the Wnt signaling pathway in adult mice. Furthermore, Rnf146-overexpressing PFC neurons showed increased excitatory synaptic transmission, which may underlie impaired social behavior. These results demonstrate that Rnf146 is critical for social behavior and that dysregulation of Rnf146 underlies social deficits in VPA-exposed mice.
또래놀이 상호작용이 또래유능성에 미치는 영향에서 교사-유아 상호작용의 매개효과

본 연구는 또래놀이 상호작용이 또래유능성에 미치는 영향에서 교사-유아 상호작용의 매개효과를 검증하는데 목적을 두고 광주광역시에 소재한 만5세 유아 312명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 2019년 7월 15일부터 7월 19일까지 1주 간에 걸쳐 유아의 담임교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하였다. 수집된 설문 자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였고, 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 또래놀이 상호작용과 교사-유아 상호작용은 유아의 또래유능성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 또래놀이 상호작용이 또래유능성에 미치는 영향에서 교사-유아 간 정서적, 언어적, 행동적 상호작용의 부분매개효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 유아의 또래유능성을 향상시키는데 있어 또래놀이 상호작용이 중요한 역할을 하며 특히 교사-유아 간 정서적, 언어적, 행동적 상호작용의 적절한 개입이 함께 이루어질 때 그 효과는 더욱더 증가될 수 있음을 시사하고 있다. 따라서 유치원 현장에서 또래놀이 활동에서 교사-유아 간 정서적, 언어적, 행동적 상호작용을 활발하게 할 수 있는 방안을 적극 검토할 필요가 있을 것이다. The objective of this study is to verify the mediating effects of teacher-child interaction on the effects of peer play interaction on the peer competence. After selecting total 312 children in five-year old in Gwangju Metropolitan City as the research subjects, a survey was performed targeting their homeroom teachers for a week from July 15th to July 19th 2019. The collected survey data was analyzed by using the SPSS Program, and the results of this study were drawn as follows. First, the peer play interaction and teacher-child interaction had significant effects on the peer competence of children. Second, the partial mediating effects of teacher-child emotional, linguistic, and behavioral interactions on the effects of peer play interaction on the peer competence were significant. It implies that the peer play interaction plays an important role in the improvement of peer competence of children, and especially, the effects could be increased more when the proper intervention of teacher-child emotional, linguistic, and behavioral interactions is applied together. Therefore, it would be necessary to actively review the measures for vitalizing the teacher-child emotional, linguistic, and behavioral interactions for peer play activities in the field of kindergarten.
