      • 알루미늄 표면불량 검사를 위한 영상처리알고리즘 응용에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 알루미늄의 압연 과정에서 발생하는 알루미늄 판재 표면불량을 검출하는 영상처리 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 표면불량의 정상적인 면의 영상과 흠집 영상의 화소 밝기 차이를 이용하여 불량 부분의 경계 부분을 검출하기 위해 다양한 필터를 사용하였다. 먼저 미디언 필터를 이용하여 영상 내의 잡음을 제거하고, 불량의 경계 부분을 강조하기 위하여 Sharpening 필터를 적용하였다. 그리고 Canny 알고리즘을 이용하여 불량 부분의 경계 점들을 검출하였다. 최종적으로 검출된 경계 부분을 포함하는 사각형의 두 좌표를 찾아 원 영상으로부터 불량에 해당하는 영상을 다시 구성하였다. 알루미늄 압연 판재의 서로 다른 표면불량 샘플 4종을 대상으로 제안한 알고리즘을 적용한 결과, 만족할 만한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. This study is on the application the image processing algorithm for inspection of the aluminium mill strip surface defect. The image of surface defect data was obtained using the CCD camera with the digital signal processing board. The edge was found from the difference of pixel intensity between the normal image and the defect image. Two steps were taken to find the edge in the image processing algorithm. Frist, noise was removed by using the median filter in the image. Canny Algorithm was used to defect the exact edge. The defect image section was separated from the original image is to find the coordination point p1 and p2 which include the defect image. Experiments showed that this algorithm is useful enough to inspect the defects.

      • 聖書英語의 特徵

        This article is aimed at familiarizing the students of English literature and language with Biblical English. In the light of the fact that the Bible has exercised greater influence on Western culture, philosophy, life, thought, ideology and literature than any other literary or religious works, a good command of Biblical knowledge is essential for a good performance of Western studies. However, in spite of a constant emphasis on the study of the Bible in the class, such emphasis not infrequently finds itself falling to the destiny of a mere 'voice in the wilderness', failing to lead the students to the actual reading of the great Book, most probably because they are not well acquainted enough to understand the classical language of the Bible, especially the King James Version(1611). As mentioned above, with a view to familiarizing the students with Biblical English, the writer has tried to illuminate two presumably student-wise unfamiliar linguistic aspects of the Authorized Version, from an angle for a quick understanding. To this end, he has made an extensive survey of the Hebraic syntactic elements trasferred from the original texts in the process of the so called formal equivalence translation, and still retained older English elements, with a detailed discussion thereof.

      • Stylistic Features of Biblical English

        영어성서, 특히 흠정성서(欽定聖書)는 그 번역이 매우 뛰어나서 문체가 아름답고 경전적인 권위가 있어 1611년 발간 후부터 계속 교회의 예배용이나 개인의 독서용으로 사용되어왔다. 이렇게 4세기에 가깝도록 영·미인들의 생활 속에 밀접한 관계를 가졌으므로 영어성서는 종교, 사상, 철학, 문학 뿐만 아니라 그들의 언어, 즉 영어에도 많은 영향을 끼쳤고 그 흔적이 가시적 또는 잠재적으로 많이 남아 있다. 구체적으로 말해서는 영여성서는 영어의 어휘, 숙어, 문법, 문체 등에 상당한 영향을 끼쳤다. 본 연구는 그 중 문체적인 영향에 대해서 살펴본 것으로 특히 다음 3가지를 중점적으로 다루었다. 첫 번째로 다룬 것은 성서의 용어이다. 성서의 용어는 숫적으로 매우 한정되어 있고 대부분이 단음절 단어이지만, 명쾌성, 간결성, 역동성이 있어서 우아미, 음악성, 변화성, 효과성이 매우 높다. 이와 같은 간결성의 영향은 속담 등에 잘 나타나고 있다. 두 번째로 다룬 것은 소위 평행문체로서 이것은 히브리 시형(詩形)의 표본이다. 히브리 시는 뜻이 거의 같거나, 뜻이 정반대인 시행을 두 개씩 짝지워서 시를 써 가는데 이는 일종의 반복문체다. 영시의 영웅시체 비슷하나 억양이나 압운을 쓰지 않는다. Alfred Tennyson의 일부 시와 상당수 영시에 이런 문체가 가끔 보인다. 세 번째 다룬 것은 산문적 리듬이다. 흠정성서는 대중 앞에 읽는 경전용으로 번역되었으므로 아름다운 산문으로서의 리듬이 내재되어 있어 산문 속에 아름다운 음악성이 있다.

        In this thesis, the writer tried to find out how e(fectively various literary devices can be used for pedagogical purpose to help the students of English 2earn the target language with more interest and fun. The writer found such literary devices as aIBiteration, assonance, consonance, meter, rhyme, parody, palindromes, pun can be used very practic길Iy and effectively in either English teaching or its acquisition because, if well acquainted, they make English learning fun and interesting enough to stimulate and develop a lot of learning motivation on the part of the 2earners. Especially, unlike other prosaic utterances, the writings or speeches using such devices are so witty, spiced, musical, resounding, fun and amusing that they can be more easily memorized and more familiarly quoted or practically used as if they were household expressions. Using concrete examples, the writer tried to demonstrate that, through them, the students can feel more f;Bmiliar with and interested in English In addition, the rhyme, alliteration and pun in Ivell-versified classical literary works also can be scientifically used to identify 旅e pl'onunciation of English words of several generations ago without using any audio-visllal tools.

      • 명문, 명언에 사용된 수사 기법 분석

        In this article, the writer examined the rhetoric features found among some selected world-famous writings and speeches, and speeches, and some wellknown proverbs, phrases and quotations. Because it is practically impossible to make an unexhaustive or complete survey of such matter, he limited the scope of research only to some selected data and materials within the reach of his ability and knowledge. In Chapter Ⅰ, he suggested some conditions which can play roles in making a writing or speech favorably commented, valued, prized and quoted. The suggested conditions include the effective use of various rhetoric devices: writing patterns, style, figures of speech, them development, choice of words and other techniques. In Chapter Ⅱ, some selected writings, speeches, proverbs and phrases were actually examined and evaluated on the basis of the measuring rules the writer suggested in the preceding chapter. The writer eventually concludes that the world-famous classical writings/speeches rightly deserve their fame and prize. The writer's assertion is that there must be more pedagogical emphasis and encouragement on the education of rhetorics, grammar, writing and reading, which are nowadays somewhat neglected.

      • Technical Aspects of Modern Translation and Interpretation

        본 논문은 첨단지식정보를 이용한 번역 및 통역기술에 대한 연구로서 먼저 의미역과 형태역을 고찰 분석하고 그 실례를 제시하였다. 이어서 형태역의 대표인 성성영어를 언급하고 통역 및 기계번역도 언급하였다. 그리고 현대 첨단지식이나 기계의 도움을 받아도 번역이 불가능한 분야도 다루어 보았다. 결론에서는 효과적인 번역을 하기 위한 방안으로 언어학과 주변 학문의 응용을 확대, 심화하는 길을 모색했다. .

      • 흥미 있는 영어수업을 위한 학습동기부여 방안 연구 : Some Ways to Motivate Students

        The purpose of this study is to give motivation to Korean high school students who study English as a foreign language and to make them concentrate on their study with interest. They have tried to improve their English competence for a long time but in fail. They have put much endeavor, time and cost in learning English but made little progress. Nowadays Korean high school students tend to be afraid and shrink from their learning activity as they think it is not interesting and easy. So it is more important to find more effective ways to learn English. As proved by a lot of studies, motivation is very important in learning language. By reviewing the studies on motivation, this paper tries to recognize how the motivation theory shifts over years and what theory is pertinent. The results indicate that 1) motivation plays a very important role in learning English; 2) each motivation has the complementary relationship with each other; 3) in learning English in Korea, instrumental, intrinsic/extrinsic motivations make much more progress than traditional integrative one; 4) in learning English, self-confidence is associated with intrinsic and instrumental motivation rather than integrative one. This study also try to suggest some effective teaching and learning methods in learning English in high school classrooms. Students try to concentrate on their studies when they feel they have no obligation and anxiety. As more effective methods with creativity of students, this paper try to show such methods as Counseling Learning, Communicative Language Learning and Cooperative Language Learning. They can make students take part in their class more actively and motivate high school students to concentrate on learning English.

      • 시사영어에 나타난 신 문법 현상

        This thesis is aimed at surveying some modern grammatical developments in current English and providing an up-to-date grammatical information to English learners. A glance at the present grammar education sites will never fail to make us realize that most of the teaching materials used in the classrooms are based on traditional, even old-fashioned linguistic data, neglecting a lot of fresh materials in current use. It is commonly observed that in the typical grammar class-room, most teaching materials or illustration examples have been selected predominantly from the classics or from conventional textbooks. As a result of this, a lot of students come to find themselves in the dark about the up-to-date grammatical developments, and therefore embarrassed when they come to face various grammar problems concerning the language data currently-used in newspaper, radio and TV, internet and other media English. To help and guide such students go through these dark channels of grammar, I systematical!: illustrated some so-far neglected but attention-deserving data, diligently observing such grammatical 'trivia' as formation of new compounds, Korean-structure-styled sentence-phrase contraction, radical conversion of part-of-speech, use of new prepositions, syntactical adjective, double negative, split infinitive and surprising change of word order. It is surely believed that grammar study will be more interestingly motivated when these new grammatical developments are positively accepted in the grammar education.

        가정교과에 적용한 지시적수업과 비지시적수업이 여고생의 학업성취와 학습태도에 미치는 효과

        The purposel of this study was to examine the effects which the direct and the indirect instructions as a Home Economics class have on improving the learning achievements and attitudes. To accomplish these goals, 90 students, the number of two classes of the first grade at P high school at Anyang city of Kyonggi province were selected. They are composed of the experimental group and the comparative group. Each group contained 40 students. The former was implemented by indirect instructions and the latter direct instructions. The 'family and Domestic Life' unit of the first grade was selected as the study subject to take effects and 30 periods of class were enforced. For the experimental measure of this study, the researcher used a pre-learning test, a learning attitude test, and a learning achievement test as means of measure. The two groups were confirmed as the group having the same quality. So after the experimental measure, the results of the post tests(included a learning achievement test and a learning attitude test) were verified by T-test in order to research the problematic subject, and SPSS/win statistics package was used for the processing of the statistics. The results are following: 1. The direct and the indirect instructions represented the meaningful differences in the learning achievements (p <.05). They represented the meaningful differences in improving the learning achievements of knowledge and understanding(p <.05). It was verified that the former is more effective than the latter in improving the learning achievements of knowledge and understanding. and They represented the meaningful differences in the improving learning achievements of application(p <.05). 2. They represented the meaningful differences in the learning attitudes at a domestic class(p< .05) The latter is more effective than the former in changing into the positive learning attitudes. In the light of these results, the direct instructions are effective in improving the learning achievements of knowledge and understanding, and the indirect instructions are effective in improving the learning achievements of application. Also the indirect instructions are more effective than the direct instructions in changing into the positive learning attitude.
