• A Study of “Nuo” Culture in Flower Drum Opera in Hunan Province

( Wu Meng ),( Zheng Yujie ) 한국무용연구학회 2020 한국무용연구회 국제학술발표논문집 Vol.2020 No.-

Hunan Flower Drum Opera is one of the Chinese opera arts, from the formation of ancient Chinese opera, it is inseparable from the ancient Chinese totem worship, religious ritual activities. With the progressive development of ancient Chinese civilization, the court music and dance under the culture of ritual and music, as well as religious rituals under the “Nuo(傩)” culture, although used by the ruling class to maintain and consolidate political interests, coupled with a political coat. But it is precisely this is the systematic, integrity of the preservation of the existence. Along with the phenomenon of "the collapse of rites and music," the art and culture of the ruling class moved downward, from court to folk, fusing with folk songs and dances to gradually form new art forms. The idea of ritual and music and the “Nuo” culture is also a new art bearer, along with the development of a new art form to spread the carrier. Until the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, the ancient Chinese court music and dances and folk songs and dances were integrated into the opera and became the mainstream art form of the society at that time. In particular, dance has gradually become marginalized in the lives of mainstream social groups, and it is difficult to see classical dance works passed down from generation to generation. Although the art of opera indirectly carries the ancient Chinese dance, is a kind of living existence of ancient Chinese dance, and makes it inherit and develop, but it also makes the ancient Chinese dance form to demise and decline. The study of the formation of Hunan Flower Drum Opera is generally based on Chinese opera. Starting from the formation and development of the opera, a comparative study of the opera's artistic styles, performance forms, singing lyrics, and other aspects is presented. However, in my opinion, although Hunan Flower Drum Opera is an operatic art, its formation is different from that of operatic art.The main reasons are as follows: (1) According to Yang Enshou during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, "Xuciyucongji" recorded that “湘中岁首有所谓灯戏者,初出两伶,各执骨牌二面,对立而舞, 各尽其态。”According to qianlong thirty years "Chenzhoufuzhi" records “元宵前数日,城乡多翦纸为灯,或龙、或狮子,及各鸟兽状。十岁以下童子,扮演采茶、秧歌诸故事。至十五夜,笙歌鼎沸,盈街达旦,士女聚观,统曰闹元宵。是日作油染元宵团相馈遗。舞灯之后,又各聚赀唱梨园,名曰灯戏。”The origin of Hunan Flower Drum Opera is the combination of Hunan folk songs and dances with opera. Therefore, the art of opera can only be a "tributary" and not a "source," but a folk opera art that has been absorbed and borrowed under the influence of opera. (2) In the Han Dynasty, Wang Yi recorded in "Chucizhangju": "昔楚国南郢之邑,沅湘之间,其俗信鬼神而好祀。其祀必作歌舞以乐诸神。" In China's historical development, Hunan experienced the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, "the land of Chu", but also the ancient Chinese "Nuo culture" most prevalent period. The “Nuo” culture of ancient Chinese cultural ideas, social art forms have a direct impact on the role. Therefore, this study explores the development of Hunan Flower Drum Opera from a longitudinal historical perspective, using the general timeline of Chinese “Nuo” culture as a starting point for interpreting the development of Hunan Flower Drum Opera. Locate Hunan, China to study the flower and drum opera, and explore the artistic characteristics left behind by the influence of ancient Chinese “Nuo” culture. At the same time on the Hunan Flower Drum Opera in “Nuo” cultural exploration, not only can the ancient Chinese court music and dance, folk songs and dances of the formation of the origin, style characteristics to explain the analysis. It also provides a new research basis for the inheritance and development of contemporary Hunan flower drum opera.

An investigation into the thermo-elasto-hydrodynamic effect of notched mechanical seals

        Xiangkai Meng,Yujie Qiu,Yi Ma,Xudong Peng 한국원자력학회 2022 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.54 No.6

A 3D thermo-elasto-hydrodynamic model is developed to analyze the sealing performance of a notchedmechanical seal applied in the reactor coolant pump. In the model, the generalized Reynolds equation, the energy equation coupled with notch heat balance equation, the heat conduction equations, and thedeformation equations of the sealing rings are iteratively solved by the finite element method. The filmpressure and temperature distribution are obtained, and the deformation of the sealing rings is revealedto study the mechanism of the notched mechanical seals. A parameterized study is conducted to analyzethe sealing performance under different operating conditions. As a comparison, the sealing performanceof non-notched seals is also studied. The results show that the hydrostatic effect is dominant in the loadcarrying capacity of the fluid film due to the radial mechanical and thermal deformations. The notch cancool the fluid film and influence the thermal deformation of seal rings. The sealing performance issensitive to the pressure difference, ambient temperature, and rotational speed. It is suggested to set thenotches on the softer sealing rings to acquire the greater hydrodynamic effect. Compared with the nonnotched, the notched end face holds a better lubrication performance, especially under lower rotationalspeed.

Daam1 regulates fascin for actin assembly in mouse oocyte meiosis

        Lu, Yujie,Zhang, Yu,Pan, Meng-Hao,Kim, Nam-Hyung,Sun, Shao-Chen,Cui, Xiang-Shun Landes Bioscience 2017 Cell Cycle Vol.16 No.14

As a formin protein, Daam1 (Dishevelled-associated activator of morphogenesis 1) is reported to regulate series of cell processes like endocytosis, cell morphology and migration via its effects on actin assembly in mitosis. However, whether Daam1 plays roles in female meiosis remains uncertain. In this study, we investigated the expression and functions of Daam1 during mouse oocyte meiosis. Our results indicated that Daam1 localized at the cortex of oocytes, which was similar with actin filaments. After Daam1 morpholino (MO) microinjection, the expression of Daam1 significantly decreased, which resulted in the failure of oocyte polar body extrusion. These results might be due to the defects of actin assembly, since the decreased fluorescence intensity of actin filaments in oocyte cortex and cytoplasm were observed. However, Daam1 knockdown seemed not to affect the meiotic spindle movement. In addition, we found that fascin might be the down effector of Daam1, since the protein expression of fascin decreased after Daam1 knockdown. Thus, our data suggested that Daam1 affected actin assembly during oocyte meiotic division via the regulation of fascin expression.

A Study on the relevance of Nuo culture in Hunan Flower Drum Opera

        ( Zheng Yujie ),( Wu Meng ) 대한무용학회 2021 대한무용학회논문집 Vol.79 No.1

The ancient Chinese opera source is closely related to ancient Chinese totem worship and religious sacrificial activities, the Wu Nuo culture. The earliest exorcising culture was protected by the political, but along with the phenomenon of "the collapse of rites and music," the ruling class's art and culture moved downward, from court to folk, fusing with folk songs and dances to gradually form new art forms. Until the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties, ancient Chinese court music and dance, folk song and dance integrated into opera became the mainstream art forms. Hunan Flower-drum Opera is one of the arts of Chinese opera. Its development is similar to that of ancient Chinese opera. It has a high research value and aesthetic value. Therefore, this study explores the Hunan Flower-drum opera's development from a historical longitudinal perspective and uses the full timeline of exorcising Chinese culture as the starting point to explain Hunan Flower-drum opera's story. It was positioning the Flower-drum Opera as the research object in Hunan, China, and exploring the artistic characteristics left over by the ancient Chinese exorcising culture. Simultaneously, exploring the exorcising culture in Hunan Flower-drum Opera can explain and analyze the formation reasons and style characteristics of ancient Chinese court music and dance and folk song and dance. It also provides a new research basis for the inheritance and development of contemporary Hunan Flower-drum Opera.

Effects of Zn content on microstructure and magnetic properties of MnZn ferrite

        Yingming Zhang,Yujie Yang,Dongyang Chen,Congliang Chen,Yuting Meng 한양대학교 청정에너지연구소 2023 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.24 No.2

The Mn1-xZnxFe2O4 (x = 0.46, 0.47, 0.48, 0.50, 0.51) ferrite materials were prepared by solid-state reaction. The effects ofvarying Zn concentration on the magnetic characteristics and microstructure of MnZn ferrites were investigated. All of theseferrites are one spinel phase, according to XRD analysis, and no additional heterogeneous phases are generated. Thediffraction peaks of the samples appear to be shifted to a higher angle compared to the standard cards. The sample's very bigand irregular grain development caused the sample's grain size to vary as the zinc level increased. The power loss of MnZnferrite can be decreased because to this phenomena. The PCV value decreases as the Zn level of the samples increases. The PCVof this ferrite is as high as 242.6 mW/cm3 at a frequency of 150 kHz with a Zn concentration of x = 0.46. Under the same testcircumstances, ferrite's PCV value is only 115.2mW/cm3 when the Zn concentration is x = 0.48. The complex permeability ofthe samples rises with an increase in Zn concentration. In the ferrite sample with the highest Zn content (x = 0.51), its μ' valuekeeps at a high level with the change of frequency. When the frequency is 10 kHz, the μ' value is as high as 260.9. Additionally, all of these ferrite samples demonstrated stability against interference at frequencies lower than 150 kHz.

      • Frequency-Domain Transformation Approaches to Develop the d-q Synchronous-Frame Models of Three-Phase Symmetrical Networks and Applications in Modeling of PWM Power Converters

        Xiaoyu Wang,Jinjun Liu,Yuji Meng,Jinku Hu,Chang Yuan 전력전자학회 2007 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.- No.-

Although state-space averaging small-signal modeling techniques are successfully established in DC-DC converters and three-phase sinusoidal PWM converters, these approaches are limited only to low-order systems, and the modeling process is very complex. This paper proposes two equivalent approaches in frequency domain to develop the d-q synchronous-frame models from stationary-frame models for arbitrary three-phase symmetrical circuits. The first modeling approach is illustrated with frequency transformation, by which the target synchronous-frame models could be easily obtained by frequency transformation of the prototype stationary-frame models. The second modeling approach is based on the reactive elements substitutions. These two approaches can be proven to be equivalent, and the first approach is suitable for input-output models, while the second approach is preferable for state-space models. As illustrative examples, these approaches are applied to develop the synchronous-frame models of large three-phase systems with PWM converters. They are proven valid with the comparison with current published models.

      • Frequency Characteristics of the d-q Synchronous-Frame Current Reference Generation Methods for Active Power Filter

        Xiaoyu Wang,Jinjun Liu,Jinku Hu,Yuji Meng,Chang Yuan 전력전자학회 2007 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.- No.-

The d-q harmonics detection algorithms are dominant methods to generate current reference for active power filter (APF). They are often processed in synchronous frame and time domain. This paper researches the frequency characteristics of d-q synchronous transformation which are quite related to the design of close loop regulator and analysis of the performance. Intuitively, the synchronous transformation is explained with amplitude modulation (AM) in this paper. Then the synchronous filter is proven as time-invariant linear transformation and modeled with transfer functions in stationary frame and frequency domain. The frequency-domain analytical models imply that the synchronous transformation has an equivalent effect of frequency transformation, with which the synchronous filter achieves a band pass filter from the low pass filter in synchronous frame. To simplify the analytical model, an instantaneous positive/negative sequence frame is proposed as an expansion of symmetrical components theory. Based on these frequency analytical models, the synchronous filter is compared with the traditional filters in stationary frame. Further more, the d-q harmonics detection methods are improved to get rid of the inherent coupling of synchronous transformation. Typical examples are given to verify previous analysis and comparison. Simulation and experimental results are also given.

Enhanced Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting and Photocatalytic Water Oxidation of Cu2O Nanocube-Loaded BiVO4 Nanocrystal Heterostructures

        Wenzhong Wang,Weiwei Zhang,Shan Meng,Lujie Jia,Miao Tan,Chenchun Hao,Yujie Liang,JUN WANG,Bin Zou 대한금속·재료학회 2016 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.12 No.6

Reducing the fast recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairsof semiconductor photocatalyst is very important to improve itsphotocatalysis. In this paper we fabricate Cu2O nanocube-decoratedBiVO4 nanocrystal (denoted as BiVO4@Cu2O nanocrystal@nanocube)heterostructure photocatalyst by coupling n-type BiVO4 with p-type Cu2O. The BiVO4@Cu2O nanocrystal@nanocube photocatalysts show superiorphotocatalytic activities in photoelectrochemical (PEC) activity andphotocatalytic water oxidation to BiVO4 photocatalysts under visible lightillumination. The BiVO4@Cu2O nanocrystal@nanocube heterostructureelectrode achieves the highest photocurrent density of ~ 10 μA cm−2 at 0 Vversus Ag/AgCl, 5 times higher than that of BiVO4 nanocrystal electrode (~ 2 μA cm−2). The light induced evolution rate of O2generation for BiVO4@Cu2O nanocrystal@nanocube heterostructures is as high as 150 μmol h−1100 mg cat−1, more than 3times higher than that (48 μmol h−1100 mg cat−1) of BiVO4 nanocrystals. The enhanced photocatalysis activities of theBiVO4@Cu2O nanocrystal@nanocube photocatalysts are attributed to the efficient separation of the photoexcited electron-holepairs caused by inner electronic field (IEF) of p-n junction. This study opens up new opportunities in designing photoactivematerials with highly enhanced performance for solar energy conversion.

Frequency Characteristics of the Synchronous-Frame Based D-Q Methods for Active Power Filters

        WANG Xiaoyu,LIU Jinjun,HU Jinku,MENG Yuji,YUAN Chang 전력전자학회 2008 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.8 No.1

The d-q harmonic detecting algorithms are dominant methods to generate current references for active power filters (APF). They are often implemented in the synchronous frame and time domain. This paper researches the frequency characteristics of d-q synchronous transformations, which are closely related to the analysis and design issues of control system. Intuitively, the synchronous transformation is explained with amplitude modulation (AM) in this paper. Then, the synchronous filter is proven to be a time-invariant and linear system, and its transfer function matrix is derived in the stationary frames. These frequency-domain models imply that the synchronous transformation has an equivalent effect of frequency transformation. It is because of this feature, the d-q method achieves band-pass characteristics with the low pass filters in the synchronous frame at run time. To simplify these analytical models, an instantaneous positive-negative sequence frame is proposed as expansion of traditional symmetrical components theory. Furthermore, the synchronous filter is compared with the traditional bind-pass filters based on these frequency-domain analytical models. The d-q harmonic detection methods are also improved to eliminate the inherent coupling effect of synchronous transformation. Typical examples are given to verify previous analysis and comparison. Simulation and experimental results are also provided for verification.
