The study aims to evaluate the impact of corporate social responsibility on customers’ repurchase intention in Vietnam’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. This study employs primary data surveyed from 417 Vietnamese consumers, and the sample is selected based on the willingness to participate in providing information. The results show corporate social responsibility’s positive impact on repurchase intention in the FMCG industry in the Vietnam market. There are three components of corporate social responsibility, including ethical responsibility, legal responsibility, and economic responsibility have a positive impact on repurchase intention. The economic responsibility component has the greatest effect on repurchase intention. There is not enough statistical basis for the philanthropic responsibility component of corporate social responsibility to recognize its impact on repurchase intention. The findings of this study suggest that companies dealing in the FMCG industry in Vietnam need to invest more in further developing their corporate social responsibility, it not only helps to improve their customer loyalty to businesses but also contributes to promoting the country’s economic and social development in a better and more sustainable direction.

Insulin drug was loading in chitoshan nanospheres using electrospraying method, a pH- and temperature-sensitive biodegradable hydrogel, which is an oligomer serine-poly(lactide)-poly(ethylene glycol)-poly (lactide)-oligomer serine (OS-PLA-PEG-PLA-OS) pentablock copolymer was used as a matrix to containing chitosan–insulin electro sprayed nanospheres (CIN). The properties of the OS-PLA-PEG-PLA-OS pentablock copolymer and the chitosan–insulin nanoparticles such as sol-gel transition, degradation in vitro and in vivo were characterized. The results showed that the chitosan–insulin nanospheres uniformly distributed in the matrix had a reinforcing effect on the mechanical properties and prolonged the degradation time of the hydrogel depot under body conditions. In addition, the cytotoxicity experiment results indicate that the composite could be used as a biomaterial for drug delivery system. The composite solutions accommodating different concentrations of the chitosan–insulin nanospheres were subcutaneously injected into induced diabetic BALB/c mice to study the in vivo insulin-release profile. The result showed that insulin concentrations in blood plasma were maintained at a steady-state level. Furthermore, the bio-properties of the insulin were retained and it showed a blood glucose level reducing effect for more than 60 hours after injection to a streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic mouse model. The results suggested that this injectable pH–temperature sensitive hydrogel containing chitosan– insulin electro sprayed nanosphere composites has promising potential applications for type 1 diabetes treatment.

Background: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrinopathies among reproductive-age women. Its metabolic features often overlap with those associated with metabolic syndrome (MS) and insulin resistance syndrome (IRS). Theobjective of this study was to determine the prevalence and predictors of MS and IRS in infertile Vietnamese women with PCOS. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at a tertiary fertility centre at Hue University Hospital from June 2016 to November 2017. A total of 441 infertile women diagnosed with PCOS based on the revised 2003 Rotterdam consensus criteria were enrolled. MS and IRS were defined based on the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute/American Heart Association Adult Treatment Panel III 2005 and American College of Endocrinology IRS 2003 criteria, respectively. Complete clinical and biochemicalmeasurements of 318 women were available for analysis. Independent predictors of MS and IRS were identified using multivariatelogistic regression. Results: The overall prevalence of MS and IRS in women with PCOS was 10.4% and 27.0%, respectively. We identified older age(>30 years) and obesity as independent predictors of MS and IRS. Elevated anti-Müllerian hormone levels increased the risk of IRS,but not that of MS. Conclusion: MS and IRS are prevalent disorders among infertile Vietnamese women with PCOS. PCOS is not solely a reproductiveproblem. Screening and early intervention for MS and/or IRS based on anthropometric, metabolic, and reproductive hormone riskfactors should be an integral part of fertility care.
A Low-Cost Speech to Sign Language Converter
Le, Minh,Le, Thanh Minh,Bui, Vu Duc,Truong, Son Ngoc International Journal of Computer ScienceNetwork S 2021 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.21 No.3
This paper presents a design of a speech to sign language converter for deaf and hard of hearing people. The device is low-cost, low-power consumption, and it can be able to work entirely offline. The speech recognition is implemented using an open-source API, Pocketsphinx library. In this work, we proposed a context-oriented language model, which measures the similarity between the recognized speech and the predefined speech to decide the output. The output speech is selected from the recommended speech stored in the database, which is the best match to the recognized speech. The proposed context-oriented language model can improve the speech recognition rate by 21% for working entirely offline. A decision module based on determining the similarity between the two texts using Levenshtein distance decides the output sign language. The output sign language corresponding to the recognized speech is generated as a set of sequential images. The speech to sign language converter is deployed on a Raspberry Pi Zero board for low-cost deaf assistive devices.

Background: In order to provide essential scientific evidence on the population's health status and social health determinants as well as the current capacity of the health care system in Vietnam to health policy makers and managers, Vietnam Ministry of Health, Hanoi University of Public Health, Hanoi Medical University, and Ho Chi Minh University of Medicine and Pharmacy collaborated with Seoul National University (Korea) and conducted a health system survey in the Quoc Oai district (of Hanoi capital) that represented northern rural Vietnam. Methods: The study design was a cross-sectional study. The survey covered different topics (more than 200 questions) and was administered in three separate questionnaires: 1) Basic information of all household members; 2) Household characteristics; and 3) Individual characteristics. Socio-demographic characteristics among the households and individuals were collected from 2,400 households sampled by multi-stage cluster sampling method: more than 200 questions. Results: The household size of Quoc Oai was larger than the national average and there was no significant difference in gender composition. In addition, the proportions of pre-elderly, age 55–64, and elderly group (65 years old and over) were higher than the national population statistics. In this context, demographic transition has begun in Quoc Oai. Conclusion: This study design description provides the basic information about a baseline survey of a future prospective cohort (as a part of a collaborative project on strengthening the health system in Vietnam) to the prospective data user of this survey.

Recently, vegetarian diets have experienced a dramatic increase in popularity. The aim of the study is to explore and test the relationship between the factors influencing consumers' dietary decisions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The questionnaire applied a five-point Likert scale to investigate factors that affect Ho Chi Minh City's citizens when they have a vegetarian diet. 497 respondents (68% female; 61.2% aged 18-22; 82.7% had regular vegetarian diets) living in Ho Chi Minh City took part in both online and offline surveys. The results were processed by SPSS 22.0 software. The reliability was checked by Cronbach Alpha and Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to identify the underlying relationships between measured variables. The Correlation analysis was implemented to show how strong and degree of two variables are related to each other before the multivariate regression equation was analyzed. The result showed the Five factors that were motivating people in Ho Chi Minh City to decide on plant-based diets, such as Animal Welfare, Health, Religion, Mood, and Reference groups. The mood is the most influential variable that significantly influences people's food choices. Attitudes toward vegetarian diets are changing. Therefore, recognizing the trends in food consumption might help companies take advantage of investment opportunities and build their marketing strategies.

This paper addresses to the analysis new capabilities in parallel execution of Quarter-pixel Interpolation for Luminance data of H.264/AVC onto concurrent processors system-on-chip. We first exploit a parallelism of the Quarter-pixel interpolation specifically to decrease its execution time. Next, we analyze the capability in parallel execution of Quarter-pixel interpolation onto concurrent processors of system-on-chip. By exploiting the data dependencies in calculation 6-tap FIR and Bi-linear filters, that are two principal filters in Interpolation block, for interpolated pixels of each 4x4 sub-macro block, we proposed a new solution to increase the execution speed by combining concurrent execution processing elements and three-stage pipelined scheduling. In addition, we also considered to the reused data and multiplierless in efficient implementation two kind of filters. The proposed solution using parallel techniques in terms of concurrent processing elements and pipelined scheduling can accelerate the speedup of realizing Quarter-pixel Interpolation in H.264/AVC decoder.
Size effects in mechanical properties of boron nitride nanoribbons
Minh-Quy Le 대한기계학회 2014 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.28 No.10
Size effects in mechanical properties are investigated through molecular dynamics simulations with Tersoff-like potential for boron nitridenanoribbons (BNNRs) in the armchair and zigzag directions under uniaxial tension. It is found that tensile properties of rectangularBNNRs of fixed lengths are significantly affected by the length-width ratios, while these aspect ratios are less sensitive to tensile propertiesof rectangular BNNRs of fixed widths. Size effects are minor in square boron nitride nanosheets. For zigzag BNNRs of fixed length,Young’s modulus, fracture stress and fracture strain increase when decreasing the width. For armchair BNNRs of fixed length, Young’smodulus and fracture strain increase, while fracture stress varies slightly when decreasing the width. Young’s modulus of zigzag BNNRsdecreases from 299 N/m for a very narrow sheet to 258 N/m for square sheets, while this mechanical property increases from 231 N/m to250 N/m for armchair BNNRs. Fracture stress of zigzag BNNRs decreases from 44.4 N/m for a very narrow sheet to 35.6 N/m for squaresheet.

In the pool of characters of The Tale of Kieu by the great poet Nguyen Du, Hoan Thu is a special one. Nguyen Du loved Thuy Kieu the most but was especially successful in creating the image of Hoan Thu. Through a scene of jealousy, he uncovered the social nature in the character, and through which reflected the Vietnamese feudal society in the 18th and 19th centuries. The diverse dialogue and monologue language contributes greatly in the perfect and unique depiction of the personality of Hoan Thu, and through which delivers in a special manner the message of the work and the richly humane philosophical concepts of the poet, making the masterpiece The Tale of Kieu a great success and bringing it to the top of Vietnam’s literature.
