In this study, a number of amino acid mutations were observed in the type 1 fimbriae genes fimC, fimD, fimI, and fimZ in four Salmonella reference strains and two isolates. S. typhimurium ATCC 14028 strain showed most numerous 14 amino acid variations. On the other hand S. typhimurium ATCC 13311 strain, the least two amino acid variants were observed. Among them, amino acid mutations were not observed in the genes fimC and fimZ, and in the fimD and fimI genes, amino acid variations were observed as Leu527→Pro, Ile130→Val.

Purpose: Precedent studies about the relationship between trauma and other variables was focused on children and middle aged women. This study however, aims to study the female college student population who are exposed to depression and low self-esteem from traumatic events of childhood and adolescence Methods: Using a descriptive correlation study design, 205 female college students attending female colleges were recruited. The instruments Post-traumatic Diagnostic Scale by Jacoz&Perry(1997), Self-esteem Scale by Rosenberg(1979), Family Support &Conflict Scale by Kim, and Depression Scale by Radloff(1977) were used. The questionnaires were distributed with Google Survey online. The data w re analyzed by average, standard deviation, percentage, and t-test using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: The degree of trauma and self-esteem, family support and conflict showed negative correlation, and the degree of trauma and depression showed positive correlation. In other words, female college students with higher trauma tend to have lower self-esteem, more cognizance of family conflict, less feeling of family support, and more depression. Conclusion: This study is different in that it analyzes correlation between the degree of trauma and other variables, not the absence or frequency of trauma. This study is also meaningful as it consider the psychological changes from traumatic experience and provides the basic data for the prevention and therapeutic intervention in clinical field.

Moon, So Young,Na, Duk L.,Seo, Sang Won,Lee, Jun-Young,Ku, Bon D.,Kim, Seong Yoon,Park, Kyung Won,Shim, Yong S.,Youn, Young Chul,Chung, Chan-Seung,Cheong, Hae-Kwan,Choi, Seong Hye,Cha, Kyung Ryeol,Kim S. Karger AG 2011 European neurology Vol.65 No.4
<P>The association between white matter changes and activities of daily living (ADL) in a large, well-defined cohort of patients with mild-to-moderate dementia (either Alzheimer’s disease or subcortical vascular dementia) were investigated. A total of 289 patients were divided into three groups (140 mild, 99 moderate, and 50 severe) depending on the degree of white matter changes as indicated on brain magnetic resonance image scans. Further, we analyzed the three groups’ performances on basic and instrumental ADL. The degree of white matter changes was associated with greater age, hypertension, previous history of stroke, higher Hachinski Ischemic Score, worse global cognitive and functional status, and an increased impairment of basic ADL and instrumental ADL. The increased impairment with regard to the severe group’s performance on both the basic and instrumental ADL remained significant after adjustment for age and hypertension. Tasks involving physical activities were most significant. This was the first study investigating the association between white matter changes and ADL in a large, well-defined dementia cohort. The present study suggests that severe white matter changes may be associated with higher impairment on both basic and instrumental ADL.</P><P>Copyright © 2010 S. Karger AG, Basel</P>
Contribution of small phytoplankton to total primary production in the Chukchi Sea
Lee, S.H.,Sun Yun, M.,Kyung Kim, B.,Joo, H.,Kang, S.H.,Keun Kang, C.,Whitledge, T.E. Pergamon Press ; Elsevier Science Ltd 2013 Continental shelf research Vol.68 No.-
Given a projection of thriving small phytoplankton in the Arctic Ocean under climate-induced environmental changes, it is important to estimate the contribution of small phytoplankton (0.7-5μm) to the total primary production in the Chukchi Sea, which is an important conduit of organic matter from the North Pacific to the Arctic Ocean. Based on a 13C-15N dual isotope tracer technique, small phytoplankton productivity measurements were taken during two consecutive cruises in the Chukchi Sea in 2004. The total phytoplankton carbon uptake rates ranged from 0 to 25.38mgCm-3h-1, whereas the uptake rates of small phytoplankton ranged from 0 to 2.87mgCm-3h-1. In comparison with the carbon uptake rates, total phytoplankton nitrate uptake rates ranged from 0 to 4.40mgNm-3h-1 while small phytoplankton nitrate uptake rates ranged from 0 to 0.39mgNm-3h-1. Ammonium uptake rates ranged from 0 to 8.34mgNm-3h-1 and from 0.01 to 2.18mgNm-3h-1, for total and small phytoplankton, respectively. Small phytoplankton contributed 24.80% (S.D.=+/-23.0%) to the total chlorophyll-a concentration, and 59.41% (S.D.=+/-52.12%) to the total carbon biomass due to its higher particulate organic carbon per chlorophyll-a unit during the two cruises in 2004. In the Chukchi Sea, the average contributions of small phytoplankton to carbon and total nitrogen (nitrate+ammonium) uptake rates were 31.72% (S.D.=+/-23.59%) and 37.31% (S.D.=+/-26.06%), respectively.
Carbon contribution of sea ice floes in the Arctic Ocean
Lee, S.H.,Kyung Kim, B.,Joo, H.T.,Woo Park, J.,Han Lee, J.,Joo, H.M.,Byoul Lee, D.,Kang, C.K.,Kang, S.H. Pergamon Press 2015 Deep-sea research. Part II, Topical studies in oce Vol.120 No.-
To estimate detailed contributions of particulate organic carbon (POC) as a potential food source in various environments of the Arctic sea ice floes, intensive investigations were executed at two different types of sea ice stations (ST 1 and ST 2) in the northern Chukchi Sea during the summer period in 2011. The average uptake rates of carbon and nitrogen in melt ponds from this study were within the range measured previously. The surface ice of melt ponds at ST 1 had the highest POC concentration with a mean of 148.0mgCm-3 (S.D.=+/-86.0mgCm-3), followed by sea ice cores at ST 2 (mean+/-S.D.=125.7+/-128.2mgCm-3). The POC concentrations in melt ponds ranged between 90.0mgCm-3 (S.D.=+/-12.7mgCm-3) and 103.9mgCm-3 (S.D.=+/-47.7mgCm-3) at ST 1 and ST 2, respectively. Major POC contributors to melt ponds were diatoms with a mean biovolume contribution of 48.7% (S.D.=+/-39.1%) which was strongly related to in situ salinity. Although the total POC concentration of entire sea ice floes ranged from 2.8% to 5.3% of the POC concentration within the euphotic water column at the study locations, the carbon contribution of sea ice floes could be important to higher trophic levels because of the concentrated POC within sea ice floes.
衝擊波動 重疊原理에 의한 耐衝擊性 3重壁構造 Polymer
申容珍,崔勝平,梁京承,白昌鉉 朝鮮大學校 自然科學硏究所 1995 自然科學硏究 Vol.18 No.1
In thermoplasticity polymer, mean molecular weight and molecular weight distribution are the important factors which effect the physical property. If impact strength(I.S-) is high, tensile strength(T.S.) and flating weight(F.W-) are low. Because of the reciprocal relation I.S. and T.S. there set a limit to satisfy I.S. and T.S. in single matter at the same time. Applying the superposition principle to the polymer, extemal impact wave pulse on the 3-1ayered stmcture may be changed to the transmitted wave and reflected wave, and then separated waves lose the mechanical energy to the S-layered structure which contains different molecular weight. There is the dispersion and attenuation of the impact energy, hence at the low temperature impact strength and tensile strength synchronously are high.
