N/A Background: Since the concept of peak aortic blood velocity and peak acceleration by Rushmer et al, doppler echocardiography based on the hemodynamic theory has developed as a new noninvasive measure for the evaluation of left ventricular systolic function during the ejection time. Method: The left ventricular ejection force over the acceleration time and the intrinsic component of the left ventricular load at peak acceleration, measured by pulsed wave doppler echocardiography, were compared in 10 patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy with 9 normal controls. Results: 1) The fractional shortening, peak aortic blood velocity, mean acceleration and ejection force over the acceleration time were significantly lower in the dilated cardiomyopathy group than control group (control vs DCM =33.88±4.75% vs 17.21±5.99%, p<0 001, respectively). 2) By the regressin in the % fractional shortening,, measurement of ejection force over the acceleration time was more beneficial than measurement of peak aortic blood velocity and mean acceleration in assessing the left venticulat systolic function(r=63, 0.49 and 0.55 respectively). 3) The left ventricular intrinsic wall stress showed no significant statistical difference between 2 groups, but intrinsic σm/total σm ratio was significantly lower in the dialated cardiomyopathy group than control group (control vs DCM = 4.36±1.889: vs 1 88% vs 1.84±0.88% p<0.005). Conclusion: The measurement of the ejection force over the acceleration time and the left ventricular intrinsic wall stress/total ventricular load ratio were beneficial in evaluating the ejection hemodynamics during the left ventricular systole.
발효·건조 공정을 이용한 하수처리장 협잡물 처리 실증화 기술개발 연구

In this study, a demonstration technology was developed for the treatment of sewage impurities by a fermentation and drying process. To treat the sewage impurities, fermentation and drying devices with a daily processing capacity of 100 kg and 300 kg, respectively, were installed at a public wastewater treatment facility. It was found that the weight loss rate and average water content of the fermentation dried residues from the sewage impurities ranged from 79-84% and 20-25%, respectively. The residues satisfied the quality standards of solid refuse fuel, meaning they could be reused as auxiliary fuel for coal-fired electrical power plants or cement factories. The fermentation and drying process was much more economical and environmentally friendly than the incineration process mainly used to treat sewage impurities. Compared with the incineration process, the fermentation and drying process was about 78% less expensive.

In this paper the method using master-slave filter bank with series-parallel structure and fuzzy model is proposed to track the center frequency of signal whose center frequency is varying but spectral configuration and frequency bandwidth is rarely varying with time. When conventional filter bank is used to track the center frequency of signal, the frequency resolution of filter must be increased to enhance tracking accuracy. But it results in the decrease of time resolution. The proposed filter bank that two band notch filters and fuzzy model are connected to conventional filter bank has enhanced tracking accuracy without time resolution decreased. The frequency-tracking experiments of sinusoidal signal are performed using conventional filter bank and the proposed filter bank. The results show that the latter has enhanced tracking performance.
