In the manufacturing industry, fostering talented workers has become a core activity as well as an important resource leading to manufacturing enterprises' innovative activities, which has come to the fore as one of the biggest success factors for innovative activities indeed. In other countries, there are many researches actively conducted on talent-fostering programs related to manufacture innovation. In Korea, however, manufacturers or several different education agencies don't actively carry out manufacture innovation instructions and have failed to faster special competent workers since their instructions focus on theories most of the time. Therefore, this study was conducted to understand the present conditions of manufacture-innovative instructions in Korea by classifying them in a method of educational technology and to investigate various teaching methods through oversea cases and cases from non-manufacture fields so that it might make a proposal for a better manufacture-innovative instruction method.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.) is a perennial, medicinal and aromatic plant that is native to the Mediterranean region and has been widely cultivated in the world. This study was conducted in order to establish the extraction conditions with the Lavender for development of a functional cosmetic ingredients, which is controlling the skin aging. The dried powder prepared by the extract were optimized using the response surface methodology (RSM). The extraction conditions were based on the central composite design, with 15 kinds of variations in the extraction temperature (50-90℃), extraction time (6-24 hrs), and ethanol concentration (0-100%). The rosmarinic acid contents were significantly higher at 90℃ for 12 hrs with a 70% ethanol concentration. In this condition, the biological activities such as tyrosinase inhibitory activities and elastase inhibitory activities were excellent. The optimum extraction yield was predicted at an extraction temperature of 89.02℃, 11.79 hrs of extraction time and determined the value of 26.233% (wt/wt) with a 65.72% ethanol concentration, respectively.

Eun-Ho Lee,Eun-Bi Cho,Byung-Oh Kim,Hee-Young Jung,Seung-Yeol Lee,Jingi Yoo,In-Kyu Kang,Young-Je Cho 한국원예학회 2020 원예과학기술지 Vol.38 No.3
In this study, we investigated the various physiological properties of ‘Summer King’ apples (Malus domestica Borkh) to highlight this fruit as a high value functional food source. The peels of newlybred ‘Summer King’ apple were extracted using water and ethanol, and each extract demonstrated relatively high levels of phenolic compounds at 4.41 ㎎·g-1 and 7.39 ㎎·g-1, respectively. The water and ethanol extracts also showed antioxidant protection factor (PF) levels of 3.37 PF and 2.65 PF, respectively, and the antioxidation effects towards thiobarbituric acid reactive substances were 38% and 30% at 100 ㎍·mL-1 phenolic concentrations. Therefore, extracts of ‘Summer King’ apple possess substantial properties for anti-aging. The anti-inflammatory effect (hyaluronidase inhibition) of the extracts were 4.97% for the water extract and 20.40% for the ethanol extract, both at a 200 ㎍·mL-1 phenolic concentration. Both the water and ethanol extracts showed low α-amylase inhibition effects, but each demonstrated 93.59% and 98.80% α-glucosidase inhibition at a 200 ㎍·mL-1 phenolic concentration, respectively. In an anti-wrinkle assay, the water extract showed 14.55% and 67.73% inhibition of elastase and collagenase, respectively, and the ethanol extract had 56.50% and 77.81% inhibition, respectively. These results support the high potential for the use of these extracts in functional food and cosmetics, and the ‘Summer King’ apple peel was determined to have various functions including anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, anti-wrinkle, and anti-diabetic effects.
Regulation of Monkey 20α-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase (HSD) Promoter by PGF2a and Foskolin
Eun-Bi Seo,Tsevelmaa Nanjidsuren,Chae-Won Park,Min-Su Kim,Kwan-Sik Min 한국동물생명공학회(구 한국동물번식학회) 2013 Reproductive & Developmental Biology(Supplement) Vol.37 No.2s
The monkey 20ɑ-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (20ɑ-HSD) is an enzyme responsible for the catabolism in converting progesterone into biological inactive 20a-hydroxyprogesterone, thus playing a key role during the estrous cycle or pregnancy and allowing ovulation and parturition to occur in most mammalian animals. We have previously shown that 20ɑ-HSD in pre-ovulation and pre-parturition was highly detected in ovarian and placental tissues and localized mainly in the syncytiotrophoblast of the placenta. In this study, we focus on the analysis of molecular characterization of the monkey 20ɑ-HSD promoter region by using reporter assay systems in a Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) K1 cells. A reporter assay, using constructs (—890-Luc, —513-Luc, —306-Luc, —273-Luc and —70-Luc) of various lengths of the 5'-flanking region, revealed that the region (Ap-1) between —281 and —274 bp was essential for transcriptional activity. The absence of Ap-1 site in -273-Luc dramatically decreased to the control levels. Thus, Ap-1 site (—281→—274) (5'-TGTCTCAT-3') plays a crucial role for monkey 20α-HSD gene transcription. Next, we analyzed the monkey 20α-HSD promoter activity with treatment of prolactin, PGF2α and Forskolin in CHO-K1 cells. The 2005bp monkey promoter-pGL3 was transfected to CHO cells and added various dose-dependent treatments after incubation 24 hours. For PGF2α 0.5, 1, 5, 10 and 50 μM added and incubated during 6 hours. For Forskolin 0.1, 1, 10, 50 and 100 μM added. And finally, the luciferase activity was measured after 24 hours. Also, human prolactin (3μg/ml) was used as inhibitor. In result, PGF2a was response to a dose-dependent activation. On the other hand Forskolin was detected dose-dependent inhibition in the 2005bp 20α-HSD promoterpGL3 construct. However, prolactin was not shown any significant different. Taken together, our results indicate that monkey 20α-HSD promoter activity inhibit by forskolin. Also, PGF2a remarkedly stimulates the activity of monkey 20α-HSD promoter. We demonstrated that monkey 20a-HSD promoter regulate by AP-transcription factor, PGF2a, and Foskolin.
