      • Piecewise-quadratic Harmut basis functions and their application to problems in digital signal processing

Singh, Dhananjay,Zaynidinov, Hakimjon,Lee, Hoon-Jae John Wiley Sons, Ltd. 2010 International journal of communication systems Vol.23 No.6

<P>In this work, the well-known system of orthogonal piecewise-constant Harmut basis functions is investigated. As a result of research, their shortcomings are revealed such as weak convergence, discontinuity and others. To eliminate these problems, a new basis of piecewise-quadratic Harmut functions is proposed and a fast spectral transformation algorithm is developed in this basis. For examples of analytically set and experimentally verified dependencies, the advantages of the algorithm for spectral transformations in a basis of piecewise-quadratic Harmut functions are demonstrated. The proposed system and algorithm could find wide application in such areas as computer graphics, image processing and restoration, machine vision and multimedia, animation and programming of computer games. • A New Proactive Micro Mobility Protocol for Wireless Network

        Dhananjay Singh,Kyeong-Hoon Do,Wan-Young Chung 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7

In Internet, classical packet switching and hierarchical mobile management has experienced problems in managing mobility especially in micro level and macro level, in the last decade. At many micro mobility protocols failed to reduce both network load and losses in the network, due to miss routed packets at the time of handoff routed from old base station after the cell switch and from the current base station before cell switch. So a new protocol, “Proactive Micro Mobility Protocol”, has been proposed to optimize network load, besides inheriting all the positive features of cellular IP. The present protocol designed on the basis of “Prediction of Handover” in mobile environment, analyzed and compared with cellular IP protocol. The proposed protocol has been simulated using CMIS software, provided by Colombia University.

Investigation of Structural, Spectral and Photometric Properties of CaTiO3:Dy3+ Nanophosphors for the Lighting Applications

        Dhananjay Kumar Singh,Jairam Man 대한금속·재료학회 2017 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.13 No.4

A series of perovskite CaTiO3:Dy3+ nanophosphors have been preparedvia solid state reaction method in order to investigate the structural, spectral and photometric properties. The structural, morphological andspectral properties of prepared nanophosphors were systematicallycharacterized by XRD, FESEM, EDX, Photoluminescence, PL decaytime and UV-Visible spectroscopy. The novel CaTiO3:Dy3+ nanophosphorsexhibited single phase orthorhombic structure with space group Pbnm. The high magnification FESEM images of prepared sample demonstratedthe particle size in the range 220-240 nm. The photoluminescenceproperties of Dy3+ doped CaTiO3 nanophosphors were investigatedthrough excitation, emission spectra and decay time by varying theconcentration of activator (Dy3+). Under the excitation of 386 nm UVlight, Dy3+ activated CaTiO3 nanophosphors exhibited its characteristicexcellent intense emissions in blue and yellow region around thewavelength 484 and 575 nm due to the transition 4F9/2→6H15/2 and 4F9/2→6H13/2 respectively. The photometric parameters such as CIE-coordinate and correlated color temperature (CCT) was alsocalculated. The CIE- coordinate (0.28, 0.32) was found near white light and CCT value was found to be 9222.31 K for optimumcomposition Ca0.96TiO3:0.04Dy3+ which was useful for cold light emission. The affirmative experimental results indicated thatthe prepared nanophosphors could be the favorable candidate for lighting applications.

Prevalence of Dyslipidemia and Hypertension in Indian Type 2 Diabetic Patients with Metabolic Syndrome and its Clinical Significance

        Dhananjay Yadav,Meerambika Mishra,Arvind Tiwari,Prakash Singh Bisen,Hari Mohan Goswamy,G.B.K.S. Prasad 질병관리본부 2014 Osong Public Health and Research Persptectives Vol.5 No.3

Objectives: The present study was designed to estimate the prevalence of dyslipidemia and hypertension based on the National Cholesterol Educational Programme Adult Treatment Panel III definition of metabolic syndrome (MetS). The study also focuses on prevalence for MetS with respect to the duration of disease in GwalioreChambal region of Madhya Pradesh, India. Methods: Type 2 diabetic patients (n = 700) were selected from a crosssectional study that is regularly being conducted in the School of Studies in Biochemistry, Jiwaji University Gwalior, India. The period of our study was from January 2007 to October 2009. Dyslipidemia and hypertension were determined in type 2 diabetic patients with MetS as per National Cholesterol Educational Programme Adult Treatment Panel III criteria. Results: The mean age of the study population was 54±9.3 years with 504 (72%) males and 196 (28%) females. The prevalence of MetS increased with increased duration of diabetes in females; however, almost constant prevalence was seen in the males. Notable increase in the dyslipidemia (64.1%) and hypertension (49%) in type 2 diabetic patients were seen. The steep increase in dyslipidemia and hypertension could be the reason for the growing prevalence of diabetes worldwide. The study also noted a close association between age and occurrence of MetS. Conclusion: Individual variable of MetS appears to be highly rampant in diabetic population. Despite treatment, almost half of patients still met the criteria for MetS. Effective treatment of MetS components is required to reduce cardiovascular risk in diabetes mellitus hence accurate and early diagnosis to induce effective treatment of MetS in Indian population will be pivotal in the prevention of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes.

Effect of Precipitate Characteristics on the Corrosion Behavior of a AZ80 Magnesium Alloy

        Dhananjay Dubey,Kondababu Kadali,Harikrishna Kancharla,Anuz Zindal,Jayant Jain,K. Mondal,Sudhanshu S. Singh 대한금속·재료학회 2021 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.27 No.9

In this study, a systematic investigation on the effect of both aging temperature (250 °C and 330 °C) and time (chosen basedon aging curves) on the distribution and volume fraction of the Mg17Al12precipitates and subsequently on the corrosionbehavior of the AZ80 magnesium alloy was carried out by conducting both immersion and dynamic polarization test in afreely aerated 3.5% NaCl solution. The analysis of corrosion products using Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction andinvestigation of corrosion morphologies using scanning electron microscopy suggested galvanic corrosion of the anodicα-Mg matrix in contact with the cathodic Mg17Al12precipitates. The higher corrosion resistance of the alloy aged at lowertemperature (250 °C) was attributed to the higher number density of the Mg17Al12precipitates than that at higher temperature(330 °C). In the peak aged condition, the average number densities of precipitates (1/μm2) were measured to be ~ 0.74and ~ 0.32 and average corrosion rates (mm/y) were measured to be ~ 3.0 and ~ 5.0 at the aging temperatures of 250 °Cand 330 °C, respectively. At a particular aging temperature, the corrosion resistance increased to a maximum at peak-agedcondition followed by a decline in the over-aged condition and further increase with prolong aging, which was correlatedwith the number density, size and distribution of the Mg17Al12precipitates.

Short Term Spectrum Trading in Future LTE Based Cognitive Radio Systems

( Hiran Kumar Singh ),( Dhananjay Kumar ),( Srilakshmi R ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2015 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.9 No.1

Market means of spectrum trading have been utilized as a vital method of spectrum sharing and access in future cognitive radio system. In this paper, we consider the spectrum trading with multiple primary carrier providers (PCP) leasing the spectrum to multiple secondary carrier providers (SCP) for a short period of time. Several factors including the price of the resource, duration of leasing, and the spectrum quality guides the proposed model. We formulate three trading policies based on the game theory for dynamic spectrum access in a LTE based cognitive radio system (CRS). In the first, we consider utility function based resource sharing (UFRS) without any knowledge of past transaction. In the second policy, each SCP deals with PCP using a non-cooperative resource sharing (NCRS) method which employs optimal strategy based on reinforcement learning. In variation of second policy, third policy adopts a Nash bargaining while incorporating a recommendation entity in resource sharing (RERS). The simulation results suggest overall increase in throughput while maintaining higher spectrum efficiency and fairness.
