The IEA Wind agreement for co-operation in the R&D of wind energy system was founded in 1974. The Korea has been a contracting party to the IEA wind energy program since 2003. The contracting parties are designated by the 20 member countries and the EC. IEA Wind agreement is for member countries to exchange information, knowledge and to organize international collaboration on R&D projects called Taskes and Annexes. The Executive Committee approves and controls the R&D Tasks, and its meetings are held twice a year. This paper describes the status of current 7 implementing Tasks that were reported to the recent 57th Executive Committee meeting this year in Brussels, Belgium.

성장기 아동에 있어 gonial angle의 변화와 IMPA 변화에 관한 누년적 연구

Gonial angle은 부정교합 환자의 진단과 치료계획 수립시 중요하게 이용되고 있으며, 두 개 안면 복합체의 성장방향과 안모형의 분류 그리고 하악골의 형태학적 및 기능적인 면을 연구하는데 사용되어왔다. 또한 임상적인 치료에 있어 하악 절치의 위치는 치료의 안정성과 하안면부의 심미적인 면에서 중요하며 전후방적인 절치의 위치는 치열궁 장경에 영향을 미쳐 치료계획 중 발치 결정의 중요한 기준으로 사용되고 있다. 저자는 연세대학교 치과 대학 교정과에 소장되어있는 E 여자학교 사범대학 부속초등학교 졸업생 중에서 전신질환이 없고 발육상태가 양호한 소년 15명과 소녀 19명을 대상으로, 7세부터 15세까지 만 9년간 누년적으로 촬영한 측모두부방사선 규격사진을 이용하여, gonial angle의 연령에 따른 변화양상과 gonial angle의 변화가 하악절치의 위치에 미치는 영향에 관한 누년적 연구를 하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 성장에 따른 gonial angle의 누년적 변화양상은 25명에서는 감소를, 9명은 일정하게 유지되거나 증가하는 양상을 보였다. 2. Gonial angle이 감소한 이동에서는 IMPA가 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, gonial angle이 일정하게 유지 되거나 증가 한 아동에서는 IMPA가 점진적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 3. Interincisal angel은 gonial angle의 변화 양상에 관계없이 감소하는 경향을 보였다. The study was undertaken to investigate the growth change of gonial angle and interrelationship between the growth change of gonial angle and IMPA in the longitudinal data from 7 years to 15 years. By analyzing the serial lateral cephalograms of 15 meals and 19 females of 7 years old to 15 years old who had no abnomality in growth and development and no history of orthodontic treatment, the following conclusion were obtained. 1. Gonial angle gradually decreased with aging in 25 children and in 9 children increased or maintained. 2. There was a tendency that children who decreased gonial angle with aging showed gradual increase ofIMPA and children who increased or maintained gonial angle with aging showed decrease of IMPA. 3. There was a tendency that regardless of the change of gonial angle, interincisal angle decreased with aging.

내용 기반 검색을 위한 교통 비디오의 자동 파싱

멀티미디어 데이타베이스 시스템의 검색은 자동 파싱에 의한 내용 기반 검색이 많이 제안되고 있다. 멀티미디어 데이타 중 비디오의 경우, 일반적인 자동 파싱은 어렵지만 특정 비디오에 대한 파싱은 많이 제안되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 데이타베이스 시스템인 교통 정보 시스템에서 사용되는 교통 비디오로 범위를 제한하여 비디오에 대한 자동 파싱 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 미가공의 교통 비디오를 파싱한 결과는 인덱스과 시맨틱 모델링의 과정을 거쳐 멀티미디어 데이타베이스를 구성하게 된다.

The Comparison of Family Values and Gender Role Division Between Korean Wives and Vietnamese Marriage Immigrant Women

Family life culture embodies the ways of thinking and behaving among family members in everyday lives. With a noticeable growth of multicultural families since 2000, there has been an inflow of other culture into the existing Korean family life culture. This new phenomenon signals a potential transformation of the family life culture in Korean society. To forecast such changes, we compared the family life culture of Korean- Vietnamese multicultural families (as reported by 104 Korean husbands and their Vietnamese wives) with that of mainstream Korean families (as reported by 108 Korean married men and 92 Korean married women) by comparing family ritual practices and family values. We also sought to identify whether two cultures in Korean-Vietnamese multicultural families harmoniously coexist or clash by examining differences within couples. Results showed that Korean married men and Korean husbands of Vietnamese women were very similar in terms of family ritual practices and family values. Differences emerged between Korean husbands and their Vietnamese wives. Specifically, Korean husbands endorsed more traditional gender role beliefs while their family values were less patriarchal compared to their wives. Results suggest that more flexible gender role beliefs reported by Vietnamese wives may be a source of conflict in Korean-Vietnamese multicultural families. At the same time, it may be a driving force of change in their existing family life culture. It will be worthwhile to pay attention in future research to whether and how patriarchal values and flexible gender role beliefs would continue to coexist or modify each other.

A New Method of Field Measurement for Solenoid Magnet

A three-dimensional Hall probe mapping system for measuring the solenoid magnet of the Pohang Light Source (PLS) photo-cathode RF e-gun has been developed. It can map the solenoid field either in Cartesian or in cylindrical coordinates system with a measurement reproducibility better than 0.5 G. The system has three axis motors: one for the azimuthal direction and the other two for the x and the z direction. This architecture makes the measuring system simple to fabricate. The magnetic center was calculated using the measured axial component of the magnetic field, Bz, in a Cartesian coordinate system because the accuracy of the magnetic axis measurement could be improved significantly by using Bz instead of the radial component of magnetic field Br. This paper describes the measurement system and summarizes the measurement results for the solenoid magnet of the PLS photo-cathode RF e-gun.?

Foundation plays an important role in the offshore wind turbine system. Different from conventional foundations, the suction caisson is proven to be economical and reliable. In this work, three-dimensional finite element method is used to check the suitability of suction caisson foundation. NREL 5MW wind turbine is chosen as a baseline model in our simulation. The maximum overturning moment and vertical load at the mudline are calculated using FAST and Bladed. Meanwhile the soil-structure interaction response from our simulation is also compared with the experiment data from Oxford university. The design parameter such as caisson length, diameter of skirt and spacing of multipod are investigated. Accordingly based on these parameters suggestions are given to use suction caisson foundations more efficiently.

Gingivitis and periodontitis are infectious diseases in that microorganisms are the primary extrinsic cause of the diseases. the occurrence of gingivitis has been associated clearly with the presence of microorganisms at the disease site, and the histologic nature of the tissue involved is indicative of an inflammatory response induced by microorganisms. additional evidence for the microbial etiology of periodontal disease is that numerous antimicrobial agents are effective in reducing plaque accumulation and periodontal diseases. the purpose of this article is to analyze the antimicrobial effects of Pulsatilla koreana. Well-dried Pulsatilla koreana purchased from herbs distributor was ground and extracted into methanol(MeOH), ethylacetate(EtoAc), chlorform($CHCl_3$) and Butyl alcohol(BuOH). we have then applied each solution to the bacteria samples(Bacteroides forsythus, Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus sanguis, Porphylomonas gingivalis, Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans, Eikenella corrodens, Prevotella intermedia, Actinomyces viscosus, Prevotella nigrescens , Rothia dentocariosa, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus) collected from several organizations. To conduct susceptibility test(Kirby-Bauer method), plate contained each periodontopathic bacteria is spread extracted into methanol(MeOH), ethylacetate(EtoAc), chlorform($CHCl_3$) and Butyl alcohol(BuOH) and to measure the minimum inhibition concentration(MIC) of the bacteria against the solutions to ultimately determine antimicrobial effects of the solutions, insert bacteria sample into $20{\mu\ell}/{m\ell}$, $10{\mu\ell}/{m\ell}$, $5{\mu\ell}/{m\ell}$, $2.5{\mu\ell}/{m\ell}$ of each solution and control group(not contained solution) 1. Solution extracted into methanol did not show clear zone against all bacteria samples. Only P.nigrescens, S. mutans and S. sanguis in solution extracted into ethylacetate, S. mutans and S. anguis in solutions extracted into chlorform and Butyl alcohol showed clear zone against all bacteria samples. Solution extracted into Butyl alcohol showed clear zone against 13 types of bacteria, excluding P. gingivalis. 2. In Solution extracted into methanol, the bacteria samples grew in the highest concentrated plate, showing minimal variation from control group. 3. In Solution extracted into Butyl alcohol, S. aureus, P. intermedia, E. corrodens, A. actinomycetemcomitans, B. forsythus, P. gingivalis et al. showed decreased growth in the highest concentrated plate. P. auruginosa, R. dentocariosa, A. viscosus, P. nigrescens, S. mutans et al. showed decreased growth at MIC $20{\mu\ell}/{m\ell}$ and S. sanguis showed decreased growth at MIC $10{\mu\ell}/{m\ell}$. 4. By analyzing the MIC level through considering the results from Kirby-Bauer method, Solution extracted into methanol did not reveal any antimicrobial effects and Solution extracted into Butyl alcohol showed the highest antimicrobial effects In conclusion, it can be used the extracts of Pulsatilla koreana as wide spectrum antimicrobial agent.
