        Vitamin C facilitates dopamine neuron differentiation in fetal midbrain through TET1- and JMJD3-dependent epigenetic control manner.

        <P>Intracellular Vitamin C (VC) is maintained at high levels in the developing brain by the activity of sodium-dependent VC transporter 2 (Svct2), suggesting specific VC functions in brain development. A role of VC as a cofactor for Fe(II)-2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenases has recently been suggested. We show that VC supplementation in neural stem cell cultures derived from embryonic midbrains greatly enhanced differentiation toward midbrain-type dopamine (mDA) neurons, the neuronal subtype associated with Parkinson's disease. VC induced gain of 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) and loss of H3K27m3 in DA phenotype gene promoters, which are catalyzed by Tet1 and Jmjd3, respectively. Consequently, VC enhanced DA phenotype gene transcriptions in the progenitors by Nurr1, a transcription factor critical for mDA neuron development, to be more accessible to the gene promoters. Further mechanism studies including Tet1 and Jmjd3 knockdown/inhibition experiments revealed that both the 5hmC and H3K27m3 changes, specifically in the progenitor cells, are indispensible for the VC-mediated mDA neuron differentiation. We finally show that in Svct2 knockout mouse embryos, mDA neuron formation in the developing midbrain decreased along with the 5hmC/H3k27m3 changes.         The effect of maternal exercise and altitude training on performance in hypoxic environment: a brief review

        Environmental and maternal exercise experienced even during the very earliest stages of life has the potential to cause developmental changes. The growing evidence demonstrated that diverse environmental stressors affect offspring in various aspects in early stage of life and can be transmitted directly or indirectly by both parental lines. The development of normobaric hypoxic environment facilities began in recent years after athletes born and trained at high altitude continued to update their records in sports competition, especially marathons and other endurance sports. Although a large number of studies have proved the effect of hypoxic training in the field of sports science and competition, the effectiveness of this training model on exercise performance/capacity and physiological variables is still controversial. Therefore, this study makes a brief review of the papers related to this scope and attempted to understand the potential mechanism of maternal exercise in hypoxic environment on exercise performance and reduction of metabolic risk factors.

        Predicting digital informal learning: an empirical study among Chinese University students

        Although the adoption of digital technology has gained considerable attention in higher education, currently research mainly focuses on implementation in formal learning contexts. Investigating what factors influence students’ digital informal learning is still unclear and limited. To understand better university students’ digital informal learning (DIL), this study proposed a model based on decomposed theory of planned behavior to investigate students’ behavioral intention to DIL. Different aspects of DIL behavior were further explored, through examining behaviors of cognitive learning, metacognitive learning, and social and motivation learning. This study also integrated digital competence as a new construct into the model, along with other variables to test the proposed model. A sample of 335 students selected from three universities in China took part in this study. The partial least square structural equation modeling was applied to analyze the data. The results provide support and better understanding for the importance of motivation factors such as digital competence and compatibility to explain students’ DIL.

        Based on Geo-Spatial Information System(GSIS). we tried to develop three dimensional road simulation system of coastal region considering landscape in Jeju island. The 1:5000 digital map, microstation CAD and Inroad road design programs were used to design coastal road. To estimate landscape effect of the three dimensional road visual simulation. we implemented three types road simulations that are the trees planted, the flowers planted and the trees and flowers planted road, respectively. From the study. we found that the three dimensional virtual technique was very useful tool to design the road considering landscape effect in ocean view terrain and to estimate the reasonable road characteristics.

        During the past two years. We surveyed the monthly variations of DO, PH, COD, TSS, PO4--P, TIN in Noksan. It seemed that the concentrations were gradationally increasing in all parameters as the landfill proceeding. It is the result that the influents of soils and sands were naturally increased as the landfill proceeding and organisms and nutrients of land are influenced to the ocean by increasing a rainfall.

      • 흰쥐 중추신경계내 난소로 투사하는 미주신경로에 관한 연구

        본 실험은 부교감신경의 하나인 미주신경이 난소를 지배하는 신경으로 관여하고 있는지를 pseudorabies 바이러스를 이용하여 난소신경로와 난소주사후 미주신경절단을 통하여 조사한 연구 보고이다. 이를 위하여 Sprague Dawley계 암흰쥐를 대상으로 pseudorabies 바이러스를 난소에 주사한 무리와 난소 주사후 미주신경을 절단한 무리에서 뇌를 적출하여 pseudorabies 바이러스에 대한 면역조직화학 염색을 시행하여 비교하였다. 본 실험결과 미주신경 중추신경로내의 상위신경핵들이 pseudorabied 바이러스에 대하여 양성반응이 줄어들었거나 관찰되지 않는 차이를 보였다. 즉 적색핵, 종말판혈관기관, 줄무늬체, 침상핵과 이마엽겉질은 부분적으로 난소의 미주신경로에 관여하고 있으며 미주신경등쪽핵, 고립로핵, 최후영역, 청색반점, 팔옆핵, 코리케퓨즈핵, 흑색질 및 시각교차위핵은 양성반응이 관찰되지 않아 미주신경으로 투사하는 부교감신경핵으로 조사되었다. The mammalian ovary has been known as receiving its innervation by sympathetic and sensory neurons of the peripheral nervous system from the brain. Recently, there were several functional reports that the vagus nerves were also regulating the ovarian function, but the vagus nerve had not been identified by clear morphological evidence. A viral transneuronal tracing technique has been used to demonstrate the morphological evidence for the central vagal involvement in ovarian innervation in brain areas. Bartha strain of pseudorabies virus injection was made into the ovary of Sprague Dawley rats. In experimental group, the vagus nerve of the same injection side was removed right after ovarian injection. At five days after initial injection, all the rats were sacrificed and brains were processed for immunohistochemistry. Several central nuclei including hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus showed strong bilateral positive labelings after unilateral injection in control rats, but the positive labelings were disappeared or decreased in several hypothalamic nuclei and nuclei of the vagus nerve. I n conclusion, these results provide the morphological evidence that vagus nerve has neural connection to ovary and by which the central nervous system may maintains the state of ovulation and reproduction as a possible parasympathetic routes in mammals.

      • 병재배 폐톱밥을 이용한 양송이 복토재료 개발에 관한 연구

        애느타리 병재배후 탈병한 톱밥을 3월 중순 퇴적하여 부숙시킨 결과 퇴적기간에 따른 폐톱밥의 부숙정도는 퇴적 30일이후에 가장 컸으며 부숙 소요일수는 최소 48일이었다. 퇴적 기간에 따른 폐톱밥의 pH 및 총 질소 함량은 부숙이 진전됨에 따라 증가하는 경향이었고 총 탄소 및 C/N율은 시간이 경과함에 따라 감소하는 경향이었다. 식양토에 부숙이 완료된 톱밥을 부피 비율로 10, 30, 50%씩 첨가하여 복토 재료로 사용한 결과 30% 첨가시 식양토 단용 처리보다 A. bisporus 균사 생장이 촉진되고 초발이 소요일수가 5일 빠르며, 수량에 있어서도 28% 증수되었다. After bottle culture of Pleurotus ostreatus, sawdust was taken out from the bottle and accumulated in the middle of March, and then composted. As the result, Y value was decreased rapidly 30 days after composting, and it was decreased slowly after 30 days. It is considered that 118 days is required for composting, however, it is possible to use for casing material after at least 48 days composting. The pH and total nitrogen content of sawdust based on composting period had tendency to increase as composting was processed. Total carbon and C/N rate had tendency to decrease as time went on. Based on the rate of 10, 30 and 50%, each sawdust was added to clay loam used as casing material for culturing A. bisporrus. Among various treatments, the mycelial growth of A. bisporus was more favorable in the treatment of 30% sawdust than in the single treatment of clay loam. Based on the date necessary for primodium formation of A. bisporus, the primodium formation in the treatment of 30% sawdust was reduced to about 5 days as compared with that of any other treatments When 30% sawdust was added to clay loam used as casing material for culturing A. bisporus, the yield of its fruiting body was increased to 28%.

      • 여고생의 여가활동 참가유형과 생활스트레스 분석

        The aim of this research is to investigate participation types of leisure activities of girls' highschool students and levels of their stress from daily life and enable them to spend their adolescence soundly. The objects of this research are 408 students in total, who are randomly selected ones, 100 students in each school and one class in eaach grade, in the 5 chosen schools among all the girl's high schools which are located in J city. Frequency, period, types, grade, etc of participation in leisure activities are used as independent variables and levels of their stress from daily life are used as dependent variables. Results derived from the research by the analysis of monistic dependent variable are as follows. 1) It proved that levels of stress caused by participation in leisure activities were the lowest in the freshman class of the high school of all the grades. 2) It proved that levels of stress caused by frequency and period of participation in leisure activities showed no difference between them. 3) It proved that levels of stress caused by types of participation in leisure activities were lower in the groups participation sports types than in the viewing and game activities.

      • 운동 후 스포츠마사지가 혈중젖산 농도에 미치는 영향

        The Purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of sports massage on the Hood lactate concentration during the post-exercise recovery phase, Fifteen male university students were selected as subjects, Each subjects was grouped into three groups(rest recovery group, an exercise recovery group and a sports massage group) using systematic random sampling, ALL of the subjects who participated in this study were healthy and diagnosed that they were not suffering from any internal diseases. Work rate was loaded to all-out condition during thirty second by (body weight multiple 0.05)Kp load using a bicycle ergometer. Mood was sampled on the capillary blood-vessel of the finger tip at the pre-exercise stage and at 3, 5, 10 and 20 minutes after exercise, the Blood lactate concentration was analyzed by YSI, 1500, USA belonging to the Physical Education department laboratory, The main results of this study were as followings: First, At 20 minutes. in the post-exercise recovery phase, the Blood lactate concentration of RR group was 6.48±0.36(mmd/(L), ER group was 5.62±0.37(mmd/L), and that of the SM group was 5.71±0.62(mmd/L). the Blood lactate concentration removed more rapidly with exercise recovery and sports massage than with rest recovery(p<.05). Second, The recovery time of blood lactate concentration was significantly different from 3 minutes to 20 minutes during the post- exercise recovery phase(p<.05).

        This study was undertaken to identify factorial structure of physical fitness components for female swimmers, In order to accomplish this purpose, the 8 physical fitness test were conducted to 2003 winter preliminary national delegate 30 female swimmers(20 female middle school swimmers, 10 high school swimmers). For the concretely, this study was conducted to physical fitness battery was grip strength, sit-ups, 1600m run, 10m shuttle run, standing trunk. flexion, closed eyes foot balance, Factor analysis was applied for analyzing factorial structure of each physical fitness components, The implication of the study are as follows; 1. Among the factors of physical fitness, two factors are important, The first called Factor I outcomes total ratio 35.910%, the second factor called Factor Ⅱ outcomes 17,347%. 2. Factor I is the standing high jump(.840), grip strength(.689), closed eyes foot balance(.491), 10m shuttle run(-.397), 160m run(-.377), standing trunk flexion(-.317) composed of speed, muscular strength, balance that had an impact on a maximum performance outcomes in female swimming match. 3. Factor Ⅱ is complex components factor composed of 10m shuttle run(-.714), standing trunk. flexion(.694), sit-ups(-.714), 1600m run(-.524).
