        대면적 FPD 글래스 수직 이송용 클린 비접촉식 컨베이어 구동부 설계 및 해석

        The clean non-contact type conveyor system for vertical transfer of large size FPD(Flat Panel Display) glasses has been installed at FPD production line just since a few years ago. The most important part of the conveyor is the 3 axis permanent magnet rollers faced orthogonally in pairs. However, the systematic design method about it has not been proposed yet. In this paper, we studied a design analysis for determining geometrical parameters of the magnetic roller by using a commercial FEM tool of the 3D Maxwell. Through a series of simulation, we obtained the relationship of several geometrical parameters affecting the torque of the conveyor.

      • 소아뇌종양의 감마나이프방사선 수술

        Objective: Young children, particulary those younger than 3 years of age, cannot receive the most effective irradiation dose because of a fear of radiation-induced neurotoxicity. Methods and Materials: The Leksell Model G stereotactic head frame was affixed to the patient's head after infiltration of the scalp with local anesthetic and administration of neuroleptic anesthesia in younger than 7 years of age. Computerized dose planning was performed initially on a Micro-Vax II workstation and later on a Hewlett-Packard Workstation using Gamma plan software. The role of stereotactic radiosurgery in the treatment of pediatric patients is still being explored. Between October 1994 and June 1999, 33 patients under the age of 15 were treated at our center. Ages ranged from 10 months to 15 year (median 13 years). Results : The diagnosis were 5 pinealomas, 4 PNETS, 10 astrocytomas, 3 hypothalamic hamartomas, 3 germinomas, 2 vestibular schwannomas, 1 hemangioblastoma, 2 craniopharyngiomas, etc. The marginal dose to these tumors ranged from 11.4 to 20Gy. With a median follow-up of 21.8 months (range 1-52 months). In 3 cases among 4 PNET cases, tumor recur was seen at median 8 months, spinal drop metastasis happened at median 10.3 months(7-13 months). In 3 pinealoma cases, cranio-spinal conventional radiotherapy and chemotherapy was tried. 2 cases among pinealoma recurred and one malignant mixed germ cell tumor received surgical intervention. Conclusion: Other brain tumor except PNET, pinealoma, all tumors responsed to treatment and disappeared or ceased growing. In this study we confirm that radiosurgery can be an effective and safe alternative for the treatment of benign tumor. But, craniospinal irradiation is needed in PNET, pinealoma. Move over, we consider that the characteristics of the radiosurgery technique suggest the method should be evaluated for the treatment of childhood brain tumor.

      • 신경외과 영역에서 감마나이프의 수술적 이용가치

        감마나이프는 감마선을 이용하여 두 개강내 병소를 두피나 두개골 절개없이 파괴 또는 과사시켜 비침습적이고 안정하게 치료하는 방법으로 종래의 수술 방법에 필연적으로 따르던 위험성이나 합병증을 최소화 하면서 동등한 치료 효과를 얻을 수 있으며 코발트 60에서 방출되는 감마선을 201개의 구멍(시준기)을 통해 나누어 컴퓨터를 이용하여 각각의 다른 방향에서 병소에 초점을 맞추어 줌으로써, 201개의 각각의 감마에너지는 매우 적은 량이나 초점이 모이는 병소에는 강력한 에너지가 모여 병소를 괴사시키거나 파괴시키는 것이다. 감마나이프의 장점은 두피나 두개골 절제가 필요없고 수술의 합병증 및 마취의 부담이 전혀 없어 다른 내과적 질환이 동반되었거나 고령의 환자에서도 시술할 수 있어 비침습적이고 간편하며, 중요한 뇌신경이나 혈관과 가깝거나, 뇌간 등의 종래 수술이 불가능하거나, 완전제거가 어려운 병소도 합병증 없이 치료가능하며, 사전에 정밀한 신경방사선학적 검사를 통하여 병소의 정확한 위치와 모양을 알아내고, 첨단 컴퓨터를 이용하여 201개의 감마선의 초점을 0.1mm 오차 이내로 맞출 수 있어 매우 정확하고 안전하며, 병소의 종류 및 부위에 따라 차이는 있으나 90% 이상의 완치율을 보이고 있다. 감마나이프는 매우 비싼 기계이므로 수술단가만 따지면 상당한 비용이 드나 입원 기간이 짧아서 하루 내지 이틀 밖에 걸리지 않으며, 개두술에 따른 각종 약제 사용이 필요 없으므로 실제로는 경제적이다. 1997년 8월 기존 감마나이프 기계에 영상을 전송받아, 컴퓨터가 자동으로 선량계산등을 시행하는 감마플랜을 한국에서 처음 도입하여 치료에 많은 도움을 받고 있으며, 1998년 12월까지 600여예의 환자를 치료하고, 이에 감마나이프의 치료원리, 치료 가능한 질환, 감마플랜의 장점 등에 대해 설명 하고자 한다. The Leksell Gamma Knife is one form of stereotactic radiosurgery. Stereotactic radio surgery is really not surgery at all. The skull is server opened. The Gamma knige is the only radiosurgical tool exclusively manufactred and developed for the dedicated treatment. Gamma knife is a way of treating brain disorders with a special form of radiation. Gamma knife works by delivering a relatively high dose radiation in one session to the target with state-of-the-art precision. The dose is calculated to injure or kill the culls or their supporting bloody vessels, while minimizing injury to surrounding normal tissue. The safety and clinical effectiveness of the Gamma Knife has been established since 1968, in over 90,000 treated individuals. The benefits of Gamma knife include : no risks of infection or reaction to anesthesia, a same-day or overnight stray in most cases, virtually no pain, significantly reduced costs and an immediated return to normal activities. We have treated 616 cases during last 4 years. Disease entities were vascular anmalies 112 cases, benign tumors 370 cases, malignant tumors 127 cases, functional disorder, vascular anomalies. Gamma-knife radiosurgery can enable to treat surgical inaccessible location, high risk location, old age, other medical problem combined patient, etc. In the future, Gamma Knife radiosurgery extened treatment field to functional neurosurgery, etc.

        Aeroelastic Response of an Airfoil-Flap System Exposed to Time-Dependent Disturbances

        Aeroelastic response and control of airfoil-flap system exposed to sonic-boom, blast and gust loads in an incompressible subsonic flowfield are addressed. Analytical analysis and pertinent numerical simulations of the aeroelastic response of 3-DOF airfoil featuring plunging-pitching-flapping coupled motion subjected to gust and explosive pressures in terms of important characteristic parameters specifying configuration envelope are presented. The comparisons of uncontrolled aeroelastic response with controlled one of the wing obtained by feedback control methodology are supplied, which is implemented through the flap torque to suppress the flutter instability and enhance the subcritical aeroelastic response to time-dependent excitations.

      • Human Urine으로부터 추출한 calcite와 Ag nanoparticle의 합성을 통한 E. coli의 불활성화

        사람의 소변(Urine)은 질소성분을 과량으로 포함하고 있어 하수처리공정에서 높은 부하량을 지니는 단점이 있다. 최근 들어서 세계적으로 No mix system의 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있는데, 이는 분리 배출할 경우, 대략 50% 정도의 처리 부하가 줄어들게 된다. 본 연구진은 이러한 no mix system에서 발생하는 calcite(CaCO<sub>3</sub>)라는 침전물을 이용하여 Ag<sup>0</sup> nanoparticles의 지지체로써의 가능성과 폐기물의 재자원화를 통한 폐기물 처리비용감소 및 다양한 환경 매질로써의 가능성을 유도하였다. 본 연구는 Urine에서 추출한 calcite 표면을 amine group으로 개질하고, 그 표면에 Ag<sup>0</sup> nanoparticle을 안정적으로 담지 함으로써 지표미생물인 E. coli ATCC 8739를 사용하여 불활성화 실험을 수행하였다. 매질의 특성분석은 XRD와 TEM, SEM을 통해 calcite와 Ag<sup>0</sup> nanoparticle이 합성됨을 확인하였고, 합성된 매질의 미생물 불화성화 효율을 확인한 결과 100 ppm을 처리시, 30분 만에 약 1.5 log 불활성화 됨을 확인하였다.

      • 뇌동맥류 수술 2,335례의 치험 : 2,335 Cases

        ■ Objectives The principle role of treatment for ruptured aneurysm has been to obliterate the aneurysmal sac and secure the patient's life from the hazards of rebleeding and vasospasm. The present study was conducted to evaluate the overally surgical results in 2,335 patients with intracranial aneurysms operated in our institution from January 1980 to December 31th, 2001. ■ Patients and Methods Among these, 776 cases were anterior communicating artery aneurysms, 596 internal carotid artery aneurysms, 603 middle cerebral artery aneurysms, 63 anterior cerebral artery aneurysms and 80 cases of vertebro-basilar artery aneurysms, etc. The male to female ratio was 0.7 to 1. Surgical methods were 2,111 clippings, 182 coatings and wrappings, 23 aneurysmorraphy, 19 proximal ligations. ■ Results Incidence of the rebleeding was 5.6% of the early operation group. 17% of the late operation group. Incidence of the clinical vasospasm was 18.6% angiographic vasospasm was 26.2%. The percent of the multiple aneurysms was 9.3%, dissecting aneurysm ; 5 cases(0.2%), "De Novo" aneurysm ; 4 cases(0.17%), lobectomy cases ; 7 cases (0.3%), incidental aneurysms ; 117 cases(5.0%). Overall surgical result was favorable outcome in 86% and mortality in 7%. In early surgery group, favorable outcome was 88%, mortality was 6%. The calcium-channel blocker and "Triple-H" therapy does not improve the postoperative mortality but improve the post-operative morbidity significantly. In old age group, favorable outcome was 85.5% and 8.5% mortality rate, favorable outcome 69.8%, mortality 11.3% in late operation group. In old age group, early operation can reduce vasospasm, rebleeding, medical complications, etc. In complex artery aneurysm, the use of endovascular treatment is increasing. Intraoperative angiography reduced residual aneurysm or remained aneurysm in large, giant aneurysm, and complicated aneurysm, especially in A.com. a. aneurysm. ■ Conclusions In vascular surgery, it is important how we do it for the aneurysm from surgical treatment to postoperative management. The more aneurysm operations, the more difficult.
