        The Moderating Effects of Motivation to Use Nutrition Information and Education Level on the Consumer Understanding of the Fast Food Menus

        The purpose of this study is to investigate how the motivation to use nutrition information moderates the influences of nutrition information (i.e., nutrient ad disclosures) on consumers’ assessments of fast food menu items in terms of disease risk and perception of overall nutrition content. This study employed two 2x2 experiment designs to examine the effects of moderating variables. Experiment stimuli were developed based on a real menu item of a fast food restaurant. Respondents were selected from the listserv of a consumer panel in a university in the USA. Respondents were randomly assigned to each cell. Invitation emails were sent to these respondents with the attachment of a link to the on-line survey. After excluding incomplete questionnaire, one-hundred forty five questionnaires were employed to test the research hypotheses. Since there were more than two independent variables and two dependent variables, a factorial MANOVA test was used to test the hypotheses. The findings indicate that participants who have high motivation to use nutrition information perform more critical assessments of fast food menu items than did those who have low motivation with respect to the disease risk and the perception of overall nutrition content. These findings provide some meaningful implications to policy makers and fast food practitioners regarding fast food consumers’ behaviors of selecting fast food menu items.

        스위칭 잡음 감소기법을 이용한10비트 80MHz CMOS D/A 변환기 설계

        This paper describes a 10 bit 80MHz CMOS D/A converter for wireless communication system. The proposed circuit in the paper is implemented with a CMOS n-well 1-poly 6-metal process. The architecture of the circuit consists of the 4bit LSB with binary decoder, and both the 3bit ULSB and the 3bit MSB with the thermometer decoder. The measurement results demonstrates SFDR of 60.42dBc at sampling frequency 80MHz, input frequency 1MHz and ENOB of 8.75bit. INL and DNL have been measured to be 0.38LSB and 0.32LSB and glitch energy is measured to be 4.6. Total power dissipation is 48mW at 80MHz(maximum sampling frequency) with a single power supply of 1.8V. 본 논문에서는 무선 통신 응용 시스템에 적합 하도록 10비트 80MHz 전류구동 방식의 D/A 변환기를 제안하였다. 제안한 회로는 CMOS n-well 1-poly 6-metal 공정을 이용하여 구현하였다. 10비트 중에서 LSB 4비트는 이진 디코더를 사용 하였으며, ULSB 3비트와 MSB 3비트는 온도계 디코더를 사용한 혼합구조를 채택하였다. 구현된 D/A 변환기의 측정결과, 샘플링 주파수가 80MHz, 입력 주파수 1MHz에서 SFDR은 60.42 dBc, 유효비트수는 8.75 비트를 보여주었다. INL/DNL은 0.38LSB/0.32LSB로 측정되었으며, 글리치 에너지는 4.6 로 나타났다. 전력 소모는 1.8V 전원전압에서 최대 속도인 80MHz일 때 48mW로 측정되었다.

        가족캠프 참가객의 선택속성이 재참가 의도와 긍정구전 의도에 미치는 영향 : 지각된 가치의 조절효과를 중심으로

        The purpose of this study is to investigate whether family camp participants’selection attributes influence reparticipatory intention and the intention of positive word of mouth. In addition, this study also examines the moderating effects of perceived values between family camp participants’selection attributes and reparticipatory intention and the intention of positive word of mouth. The findings indicated that among the sub-factors of selection attributes, right values and operational capability had positively impacts on reparticipatory intention. The social space out of selection attributes influenced the intention of positive word of mouth. Finally, perceived values played the role of a moderating variable between selection attributes(right values and operational capability) and reparticipatory intention and the intention of postive word of mouth. Since only a few studies have been conducted in terms of the consumer behaviors of family camp participants, the findings of this study provide valuable implications to both scholars in a related academic field and practitioners in the industry. 본 연구의 목적은 가족캠프 참가객들을 대상으로 가족캠프 선택속성과 지각된 가치, 그리고재참가 의도 및 긍정구전 의도 사이의 영향관계를 규명하기 위함이다. 구체적으로 가족캠프 선택속성이 재참가 의도 및 긍정구전 의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지와 이러한 영향관계 속에서지각된 가치는 어떤 역할을 하는지 연구하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 가족캠프 선택속성의 하위요인 가운데 올바른 가치관과 운영능력이 재참가 의도에 영향을 미치고, 교류의 장은 긍정구전의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 지각된 가치는 가족캠프 선택속성 중 올바른 가치관과 재참가 의도 사이에서 조절변수 역할을 하였고, 선택속성 가운데 올바른 가치관과운영능력이 긍정구전 의도에 미치는 영향관계를 중간에서 조절하는 역할을 하는 것으로 확인됐다. 주5일근무제의 정착으로 가족 여가시간이 늘어나 가족 여가활동도 아울러 증가했음에도 가족 여가활동에 대한 기존 연구들은 대부분 캠핑에 집중되어 있어 가족캠프 참가객들의 소비행동을 실증적 접근법을 통해 검증한 연구가 매우 필요한 시점이다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 얻은 연구결과와 시사점은 가족캠프와 관련된 학계와 업계에 가족캠프 참가객들의 소비행동을 이해할수 있는 가치 있는 기회가 될 것이다.

        Comparison of Personality Traits and Gambling Behaviors between Video Pokers and Traditional Pull/Push Machines Players

        Since the first spinning-reel slot machine was invented in 1895 by a German-born mechanic and installed in San Francisco taverns, machine games have enjoyed popularity among gamblers. Two main types of slot machines dominate the market: video poker machines, and the more traditional pull/push machines. Previous research suggests that video poker players and pull/push slot gamblers have different motivations for playing. This study looked at whether or not video poker and slot players have different personality traits as measured through Cattell's 16 Personality Factors. The findings showed that video poker players presented a more dominant personality trait than pull/push slot machine gamblers when they play their games. Conversely, pull/push slot machine gamblers showed a more submissive personality trait than video poker players. In terms of the differences of the gambling hours and money between video poker and pull/push slot machine players, video poker players spent more time and money on playing their machines than did pull/push slot machine players. The results were based on the fact that video poker provides decision processes, in other words, controlling processes against the game to the players, and pull/push slot machines offer simple, easy, and mindless gaming styles to gamblers.

        농업박람회의 선택속성이 참관객의 만족도에 미치는 영향에 대한 지각된 가치의 조절효과 연구

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between participants’ selective attributes and satisfaction in an agricultural exhibition. In addition, this study also examined the moderating effects of perceived value between participants’ selective attributes and satisfaction. The results indicate that professionalism had a statistically positive impact on participants’ satisfaction. Participants’ perceived value moderated the relationship between independent variables (i.e., professionalism and ease of participation) and a dependent variable (i.e., participants’ satisfaction). Since only a few studies have been conducted regarding agricultural exhibitions, this study provides a bridge to a research gap in an academic area. The findings from this study provide meaningful implications to academics and industry professionals. 본 연구의 목적은 전시박람회 가운데 농업박람회 참관객들을 대상으로 박람회의 선택속성이 만족도에 미치는 영향을 규명하고, 아울러 이 영향관계에서 지각된 가치의 조절효과를 분석하기 위함이다. 연구결과에 따르면 농업박람회의 선택속성 가운데 전문성만이 참관객의 만족도에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 참관객의 지각된 가치는 선택속성 가운데 전문성과 참관용이성이 만족도에 미치는 영향을 긍정적으로 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 다시 말해, 농업박람회의 전문성이 높을수록 참관객의 만족도가 높아진다고 볼 수 있고, 참관객의 지각된 가치가 높으면 높을수록 전문성과 참관용이성이 만족도에 미치는 영향도 함께 커진다고 해석할 수 있다. 농업박람회가 지역 경제 활성화에 상당한 기여를 하고 있음에도 불구하고 이 분야에 대한 연구가 미비한 실정에서 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 관련 학계와 업계에 의미 있는 시사점을 제공한다.

        계량서지학과 TCM-ADO framework 분석을 통한 관광산업 서비스 실패와 서비스 회복의 연구동향 분석

        The purpose of this study is to extract existing studies on service failure or service recovery in the field of tourism-related research, analyse the research trends of these papers through systematic content analysis techniques, and suggest directions for future related research based on the analysis results obtained. The extracted articles were analysed using keyword-based co-occurrence analysis through the VOSviewer program and TCM-ADO framework analysis, which have been widely used as a bibliometric analysis method. Through co-occurrence frequency analysis of a total of 198 articles, three clusters were identified that were highly relevant to the topic of this study. According to the results, in Cluster 1, research was conducted based on fairness theory on service recovery in the F&B sector, and in Cluster 2, research was conducted targeting internal customers in the airlines and hotels. In Cluster 3, customer emotions were studied by applying experimental design or CIT(Critical Incident Technique). As a result of the TCM-ADO framework analysis, the frequency of fairness theory, F&B sectors, and survey techniques was high. Although numerous studies have been conducted on service failure or service recovery in the tourism industry, a comprehensive and systematic analysis of these studies is rare, and the findings of this study provide meaningful implications for future research on the topic.

        The Impacts of Health Claims and Nutrient Ad Disclosures of Fast Food Menu Items on Consumer Selection Attributes

        The purpose of this study was to examine how the health claims stating food quality and wholesomeness would influence consumer selection attributes of fast food menu items, when the health claims were presented with nutrient ad disclosures. The results indicated that 1) when the nutrient ad disclosures included favorable nutrition information, nutrient ad disclosures including health claims conditions led to significantly more favorable evaluations of selected fast food menu items than did nutrient ad disclosures only conditions. 2) However, when the nutrient ad disclosures contained unfavorable nutrition information, no significant difference was found between nutrient ad disclosure including health claims conditions and nutrient ad disclosures only conditions in terms of the evaluations of the fast food meals. These findings implied that for the maximum impacts of the promotional efforts of fast food menu items (i.e., health claims), restaurateurs should disclose nutrition information while increasing healthy menu items (e.g., salad menus, grilled chicken menus,baked French fries, etc.) including healthy nutrients (i.e., low calories, low fat, high protein, low cholesterol, and low sodium).

        An exploratory study on the impacts of family campers’ involvement on the relationship between selection attributes and outcome behaviors

        The purpose of this study was to identify the dimensionality of selection attributes and the relationship between selection attributes and satisfaction perceived by family camping participants. Additionally, this study sought to examine the moderating roles of involvement between the selection attributes and satisfaction. A self-administered survey was conducted to camping participants who had visited one of three major family campgrounds in South Korea. A total of 283 questionnaires were collected, and 250 questionnaires were used to test the research hypotheses. In order to identify the dimensionality of selection attributes, 30 items relevant to the selection attributes were obtained from the analysis of previous studies. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted to extract the factors of selection attributes eligible for the current research context. After eliminating six items that had low factor loadings, six factors including 20 items were finally found. These six factors were labeled as camp environment, camp activities, operational capability, expenses, value education, and diversity of activities, respectively. Research hypotheses were tested using multiple regression and hierarchical regression methods. The findings showed that there were positively significant relationships between all sub-factors of selection attributes and satisfaction. In addition, cognitive and affective involvement played moderating roles between selection attributes and satisfaction. These findings suggest that family camping practitioners should make every effort to satisfy camping participants by improving and supplementing all sub-factors of selection attributes affecting satisfaction.

        전시박람회 참가기업의 박람회 선택속성과 행동의도 사이의 관계에서박람회 이미지의 매개효과 연구 : 농업박람회를 중심으로

        본 연구는 개최 지역의 경제 발전에 지대한 공헌을 해오고 있음에도 관련 연구가 턱없이 부족한 농업박람회의 참가기업을 대상으로 박람회 이미지가 박람회 선택속성과 행동의도 사이에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 확인하였다. 여기에 더해, 선택속성과 박람회 이미지와의 관계 및 박람회 이미지와 행동의도 사이의 관계를 검증하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 인지적 이미지와 정서적 이미지는 박람회 선택속성 중 운영전문성과 추천의도 사이의 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 선택속성 가운데 운영전문성이 인지적 이미지와 정서적 이미지에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인됐고, 박람회 이미지의 하위요인 가운데 정서적 이미지가 추천의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다시 말해 선택속성 중 운영전문성과 더불어 박람회 이미지가 강화될수록 농업박람회 참가기업의 관계자들이 농업박람회에 대한 긍정적인 구전을 타인에게 전달할 가능성이 높아진다는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 박람회 이미지 중에서도 정서적 이미지가 강화 될수록 추천의도는 높아진다는 사실을 확인했다. 농업박람회에 대한 연구가 미미한 시점에서 본 연구에서 얻은 결과는 관련 학계뿐만 아니라 업계 관계자들에게도 의미 있는 시점을 제공한다.
