For the more comfortable thermal environment in residential buildings, it was necessary for variable components like as automatic flow limiting valves and/or balancing valves in hydronic system. And, these components had an effect on flow-rate and pressure inside pipe. In this case, the incompatibility between the design for the heating system and the selection of equipment was the causes of several problems in heating pipe network. In this study, we peformed measurements and analyses of flow rate and pressure inside pipe for radiant floor heating in residential buildings through field surveys and experiments in order to find out the actual conditions and problems. On the basis of this, we suggested the approach for the optimal flow-rate and pressure maintaining inside pipe in individual heating system.

We report three cases of u.iiusual eosinophilic pustular folliculit is whose initial manifestation is indurated plaque rather than papule and pustule and one case of eosinophilic pustular folliculitis was found in an infant. None of the adult patients in these cases complained of any suhjective syrnptoms other t.han the skin lesion, but an itching sensation might be present in the case of the infant. In laborat ory test, eos nophilia was observed in only one case and any other abnormal results were not observed. In all cases, histopathologic study revealed numerous eosinophilic infil tration around the follicles ext.i nding to the periappendageal and perivacscular area, that is consistent with the finfings of eosinophilic pustuar folliculitis. All adult patients relatively responded well to dapsone and topical stroid and the infant patient resporided well to topical steroids, But they had a chronic course with remission and exacerhation (Korean J Dermatol 1997;35(6): 1244-1249)

We report herein a case of Gianotti-Crosti syndrome showing unusual features. A 12-month-old male patient presented with papular skin lesions on his face and papulovesicular skin lesions on the trunk, upper and lower extremities, which were distributed symmetrically. Three days before the skin eruptions, he had been immunized with a measles vaccination. Serologically, antigens of the type B hepatitis virus and antibodies to coxsackie virus B-4, Epstein-Barr virus, and varicella-zoster virus were all negative and antibodies to the measles virus (IgG, IgM) and the type B hepatitis virus were positive. After conservative treatment the skin lesions subsided with exfoliation within 4 weeks. An association with the measles vaccination and the initial papulovesicular skin lesions are considered as peculiar features of this case. (Kor J Dermatol 1997;35(4): 830-834)

Various construction methods were applied to prevent the condensation on the wall and floor of the underground space in apartment buildings. However the surface condensation is not prevented completely because of the high percentage of relative humidity. As the result of field measuring, the relative humidity of underground space reached on 99%. In this case, it is necessary to apply the humidity control method for preventing condensation. In this study, we considered using the inorganic finishing material that consists of cement, water and admixture like concrete as humidity control method. To evaluate the humidity control capability of inorganic materials, we performed the field test on underground space in apartment buildings.

The structural characteristics of high-rise buildings have allowed a household space to be enlarged but to be more complicated. This has caused fluctuation of thermal load in relation to orientations to be increased. As a result, there are greater inequalities in room temperatures among rooms in a household space. Judging from the heating medium characteristics of the radiant floor heating system, the most efficient way to reduce such inequality of room temperatures among rooms in a household space is through optimal distribution of hot-water in accordance with the fluctuation of thermal load through a heating pipe network. In this study, we performed measurements and analyses of flow rate of the heating pipe network of existing residential buildings through a field survey in order to find out the actual conditions and the existing problems. In addition, we compared the performance of existing pipe network with hot-water distribution systems equipped with automatic flow limiting valves and/or balancing valves and performed analysis thereon through computer simulation for heating pipe networks.

Recently, as the interest in renewable energy has increased, DC distribution system is attracting attention. To improve the reliability and stability of the DC distribution system, control techniques are needed to minimize the transient state of the distribution. In this paper, we propose a hybrid algorithm of PI control and model predictive control for improvement of transient dynamics and steady state stability of bipolar low voltage direct current distribution (LVDC) system. The proposed algorithm is verified by PSIM simulations and experiments with a 250kW class bipolar LVDC system.

열상 감시 장비의 핵심부품인 냉각기는 검출기 온도를 낮춰서 열상 감시 장비가 제 기능을 발휘하게 해준다. 해외 도입품으로서 기준사용시간이 20,000시간으로 제시되었고 이에 맞춰서 운용하고 있다. 양산 후 운용 중에 고장이 발생하기 시작했고, 그 고장으로 인해 냉각기의 MTBF분석을 해볼 필요성을 느꼈다. 군과 방산 업체에서 열상 감시 장비의 냉각기 고장데이터를 수집하였고 221개의 납품된 냉각기 중 73개의 냉각기가 운용 중에 고장이 발생하였다. 이 고장데이터에 생존확률 함수를 모수적 접근방법을 사용하여 적합한 분포를 파악을 하였고, 로그 로지스틱 분포가 적합하다고 추정되었다. 로그 로지스틱 분포의 모수를 기반으로 냉각기의 MTBF를 분석하였다. 해외 업체가 제시한 MTBF와 비교하였고 또한 냉각기의 시간대별 신뢰도를 분석해보았다. 군 운용환경 중 고장이 발생한 냉각기의 MTBF를 분석함으로써 품질보증활동의 개선점을 찾을 수 있다. 실측 MTBF는 해외 업체에서 제시한 것보다 높게 나왔지만 운용 환경과 분석 방법론에 따른 차이는 존재한다. 이 분석 결과는 군에서 해외 도입품을 운용하는 현시점에 장비 정비주기와 운영시간에 영향을 줄 수 있고, 향후 냉각기 국산화 시 보조 자료로 기여할 것이라 판단된다. The cooler, which is the main part in a Thermal Observation Device (TOD), makes the TOD function by reducing the temperature. As the cooler is imported, overseas enterprises presented 20,000 hours as the operation time and the military have used the cooler as presented. However, failures have occurred occasionally after mass production stage. Therefore, we need to analyze the MTBF of the TOD cooler. So, military and defense industry companies collected the failure data of the TOD cooler. We analyze the MTBF of the TOD cooler using survival probability function and failure data. We find the optimal distribution by applying parametric method and estimate parameters. We determine that the Log-logistic distribution is the most appropriate for this data. Also, we analyze the reliability per hour of the TOD cooler. The result of MTBF of the TOD cooler was higher than that of presented by oversee enterprises.

Recently, the using of heat recovery ventilators(HRV) have been increasing on purpose to improve indoor air quality and energy saving. But verification on the performance such as heat exchange efficiency, carry-over rate, internal leakage, etc. have not been carried out sufficiently. So in this study, performance evaluation are carried out for selected HRV models under domestic and international standard.
