The effect of a multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) dispersion on the electrical, morphological and rheological properties of polycarbonate (PC)/MWCNT composites was investigated, with and without pretreating the MWCNTs with hydrogen peroxide oxidation and lyophilization. The resulting PC/treated MWCNT composites showed higher electrical conductivity than the PC/untreated MWCNT composites. The morphological behavior indicated the treated composites to have greater dispersion of MWCNTs in the PC matrix. In addition, the electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency (EMI SE) of the treated composites was higher than that of the untreated ones. Rheological studies of the composites showed that the complex viscosity of the treated composites was higher than the untreated ones due to increased dispersion of the MWCNTs in the PC matrix, which is consistent with the electrical conductivity, EMI SE and morphological studies of the treated composites. The latter results suggested that the increased electrical conductivity and EMI SE of the treated composites were mainly due to the increased dispersion of MWCNTs in the PC matrix.

This study aims to explore the possibility of using translation logs as an effective means to facilitate a two-way communication between instructors and translation trainees, who aspire to become professional translators, in the process-centered learning environment. Translation logs herein refer to a written record of problems and inquiries that occur during the translation process, solutions for those problems, and the reasoning behind the decisions made by trainees. To this end, this study presents a case where the author used translation logs as a tool to make up for shortcomings of written feedback provided by teachers on students’ assignments. It also demonstrates the possibility that translation logs enable instructors to give trainees individually-tailored feedback and also facilitate an interactive communication between instructor and student. In order to prove educational implications of the use of translation logs, this study analyzed the written reports submitted by student translators by dividing their entries into five categories.
가시광선 영역에서 향상된 광분해 성능과 살균 능력을 갖는 Ag-C-TiO 의 합성

최근 각광 받고 있는 광촉매의 반응 연구 중 하나는 자연광, 즉 가시광선을 이용하면서도 높은 광활성을 나타내는 광촉매 개발과 관련된 것이다. 본 연구는 가시광에서 우수한 광활성을 보이는 탄소 도핑한 TiO2에 은을 추가로 도핑시킴으로써 성능 향상을 꾀하였다. 본 실험은 졸-겔방법으로 Titaniumtetraiso-propoxide(TTIP)와 탄소 전구체를 사용하여 탄소 도핑한 TiO2를 1차 합성한 후, 파우더 현탁액 상태에서 silver nitrate를 넣고 자연광에서 광환원 시켜 제조하였다. 그리고 합성한 Ag-C-TiO2를 촉매제로 사용하여 아조 계열의 염료인 Acid Red 44의 분해 실험을 420nm 이상의 가시광 파장대에서 수행하였다. 그 결과 기존의 상용 TiO2 (Degussa, P25) 제품보다 뛰어난 광분해력을 보여 주었다. 또한 대장균으로 알려진 Escherichia coli (E.coli)의 살균테스트 결과를 통해서도 Ag-C-TiO2의 가시광 영역에서의 우수한 성능을 입증해주었다.
