This study is concerned with the quantitative Quality of Service(QoS) of the Light Railway Transit(LRT) System. Generally, the QoS offered to passengers by the Operator of LRT system can be quantified in various ways. In this paper, we assumed that the QoS is a combination of both Train Delivery and Train Punctuality under considering LRT characteristics including core sub-systems such as, rolling stock, signalling,power-supply and PSD(platform screen door), etc. We also, provide a quantitative analysis method to evaluate the QoS related the reliability of LRT system.
마코프 체인을 이용한 고무차륜 AGT 차량 시스템의 신뢰성 평가

In this paper, we present reliability modeling and analysis method of the Automated Guideway Transit(AGT) vehicle system using analytical models, based on Markov Chains. The Markov model can express state transition of the AGT vehicle sys. that is considered to be in one of four states, such as basic operating (0), minor delay(1), major delay(2) and non-operating(3) state. The proposed Markov model is illustrated with a numerical example and cases to find a steady state availability, MTBF(mean time between failures), and MTBF(mean time to repair) under specified failure and repair rate are demonstrated.

N/A Degradation tests can be a useful tool for assessing the reliability when few or even no failures are expected in a life tests. In this paper, we use a simple random coefficient degradation model to compare statistical efficiency of degradation tests and traditional life tests. If failure is defined in terms of a critical level of degradation, a degradation model defines a time-to-failure distribution, i. e., when a distribution of degradation rate follows a Reciprocal-Weibull(or Lognormal) distribution, a time-to-failure distribution follows an Weibull(or Lognormal) distribution under a simple random coefficient degradation model. Compared with maximum likelihoods estimates of parameters of two tests in terms of the bias and mean squared error for a range of practical testing situations, degradation tests are in general more precision than life tests.

Korea Railroad Research Institute(KRRI) has developed the rubber-tired AGT system from 1999 to 2004. The rubber-tired AGT vehicle is now on test for its performance and function in the Gyeong-San test line. In this paper, we provide the reliability management plan to assure required the RAMS(reliability, availability, maintainability 8t safety) of the AGT vehicle system.
고무차륜 AGT 차량의 신뢰성 중심 유지보수(RCM)에 관한 연구

This paper is concerned with the reliability centered maintenance (RCM) of the Automated Guideway Transit (AGT) vehicle system. Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) has developed the AGT vehicle system from 1999 to 2004. The provisions for a specific maintenance system including RAMS (reliability, availability, maintainability & safety)of AGT vehicle system is necessary for maintaining good operation conditions. RCM is a process used to determine what must be done to ensure that any system continues to do whatever its users want it to do in its present operating conditions. Therefore, we introduce RCM in details and describe how RCM should be applied to AGT vehicle system on Gyeong-San test line. Analyses to approach RCM to AGT vehicle system are demonstrated in the seven steps that contain each main task and detailed operating conditions.

In this paper, we analyzed domestic and oversea‘s trend on the reliability of electrical multiple unit(EMU) and also investigated the domestic and international standards on RAMS(reliability, availability, maintainability & safety), then proposed the direction of RAMS’ improvement for domestic urban transit vehicle . In order to assure RAMS of EMU, we proposed to apply IEC 60300 and 62278 to EMU as Reliability Certification.

In this paper, we introduce IEC 60300(Dependability program management) into urban transit system, and propose effective method to apply IEC 60300 to Subway Corporation. The dependability is the collective term used to describe the availability performance and its influencing factors such as reliability performance, maintainability performance and maintenance support performance. A dependability program covers all phases of a system"s life cycle from planning to operation and possibly disposal, and is composed of program elements divided into tasks.

Korea Railroad Research Institute developed the driverless rubber-tired Korean-AGT(Automated Guideway Transit) system from 1999 to 2005 and has done its performance and reliability tests on the test line at Gyeongsan-city. In this paper, we have analyzed the investment cost of K-AGT system. The estimated cost data in planing phase to 6th year are collected and compared with the truth investment cost with respect to sub-systems, years, items. It is proved that the estimated cost related to R&D activity in planning phase is relatively correct.
