Rhizoma Rehmanniae Preparata is a Chinese herbal tonic. The hemopoietic effects of Rhizoma Rehmanniae Preparata(4-time steamed Jihwang, 4-time steamed double dose Jihwang, 8-time steamed Jihwang, 8-time steamed double dose Jihwang) were examined using in vitro rat(SD) model. Cyclophosphamide(150 mg/kg) was injected into experimental groups and control group to induce bone marrow suppression. Oral administration of Rhizoma Rehmanniae Preparata suppressed hormone levels of $T_4\;and\;T_3$. Reticulocyte count was increased by the bone marrow suppression.

NC strain mice were inoculated intraperitoneally with Dermatophoilus-like microorganism strain W254 isolated from the sulfur granules of the swine tonsils. The development of the resulting abscesses in NC strain mice was investigated at regular time intervals by means of histological, histochemical and electron microscopical methods. The results obtained were as follows ; 1. The inoculated bacteria have settled in the subserous site of the peritoneal organ and provoked cellular response to form neutrophil, macrophage and connective tissue layers at the time of one week after inoculation, and thereafter were found to have formed typical actinomycotic abscess two weeks after inoculation. 2. The persistant abscesses were appeared to reveal close interaction between higher activity of organism and tissue reaction and contained hyaloid bodies within or outside bacterial clumps. 3. The hyaline materials were appeared to be composed of protein rich in hydroxyphenyl group by histochemical examination. The materials were presumed to be produced by the interaction between bacterial activity and host cell reaction. 4. The bacteria in the abscesses showed the various developmental stages of coccoid body, mulberry-like body tuber-shaped body and filamentous body, and it was confirmed that the mesosomal development was related to septation of the bacterial cells.
게잡이 원숭이에 있어 rHuEPO(HM10760)의 단회 투여 후 혈액학 및 혈액생화학적 변화

Changes in hematology and serum biochemistry after treatment of recombinant human erythropoietin (rHuEPO, HM10760) were screened in 4 male cynomolgus monkeys (Macaca fascicularis). Four monkeys, composed of a treatment group of HM10760 and a positive control group of Aranesp<SUP>®</SUP>, were subcutaneously administered at same dose of 100 ㎍/㎏. Both groups did not show any change in body weights and food consumption for 4 weeks compared with those of pretreatment. Both groups did not show any change in total leukocyte count (WBC) and platelet count, while both groups showed increased platelet distribution width (PDW) percentage in HM10760 group during a period from day 5 to day 59 and in Aranesp<SUP>®</SUP> group during a period from day 9 to day 26. Both groups showed increases in red blood cells (RBC), hemoglobin (HGB), and hematocrit (HCT) approximately 10 days after treatment compared with those of pretreatment (day 0). The increased levels of RBC, HGB, and HCT were much higher in HM10760 than in Aranesp<SUP>®</SUP> by the increases of 3.2%~ 12.5% for RBC, 3.8%~17.1% for HCT, and 1.85%~11% for HGB. Both groups showed increases in red cells distribution width (RDW) and reticulocyte (RET) compared with those of pretreatment, showing the highest peak from day 9. The increased level of RET lasted up to day 14 in Aranesp<SUP>®</SUP> group, while it lasted up to day 23 in HM10760 group. The increased level of RDW lasted up to day 59, it was much higher in HM10760 by the increase of 10.1%~17.6% than in Aranesp<SUP>®</SUP> group. In serum biochemistry, both groups showed a decrease in chloride level compared with those of pretreatment. These findings indicated that HM10760 increased RBC, HGB, HCT, RDW, and RET compared with those of pretreatment, and the increased levels were much higher in HM10760 than in Aranesp<SUP>®</SUP>.

서버 가상화 기술에 의한 서버 통합은 효율적인 자원 사용에 따른 비용적인 장점이 있다. 그러나 하나의 물리적 장치에 여러 개의 서버가 가상머신으로 함께 동작함으로써 더욱 복잡한 부하특성을 가지게 되었다. 따라서 이를 해결하기 위한 효율적인 자원관리 방법이 요구된다. 이러한 문제에 대한 해결방법으로 제안된 것이 가상머신 이동(live migration)[1,2]을 이용한 가상머신 동적 재배치 기법이다[3,4]. 본 논문은 가상머신 동적 재배치 알고리즘에 있어서 각 자원요소(CPU, network I/O, memory)들의 활용률을 다차원 공간상에서 분석하여 조율함으로써 서버통합의 자원 효율성을 증가시키는 방법(Server consolidation optimizing algorithm)을 제안하고 있다. 실험을 위해서 여러 대의 통합서버와 수많은 서비스를 생성하여야 하는 어려움이 있기 때문에 본 논문에서는 기업환경에서의 서버 가상화 프로젝트 경험을 바탕으로 서버의 부하변화와 유사한 패턴의 모니터링 데이타들을 정의하여 수치적인 시뮬레이션을 통해 sandpiper[3]와 SCOA 알고리즘의 부하 균형에 대한 효율성을 비교하였다. Server consolidation by sever virtualization can make one physical machine(PM) to run several virtual machines simultaneously. Although It is attractive in cost, it has complex workload behaviors. For that reason, efficient resource management method is required. Dynamic relocation of virtual machine(VM)[3,4] by live migration[1,2] is one of resource management methods. We proposed SCOA(Server Consolidation Optimizing Algorithm) : a fine-grained load balancing mechanism worked on this dynamic relocation mechanism. We could obtain accurate resource distribution information through pointed physical machines on multi dimensional resource usage coordination, so we could maintain more balanced resource state. In this paper, we show the effectiveness of our algorithm by comparison of experimental results between SCOA and sandpiper[3] by software simulation.

In the present study, the optimal electric current and induction time of the acupuncture anesthesia were determined and the clinical signs during and after the acupuncture anesthesia were observed in 90 Korean native dogs. The results were summarized as fellows. 1. Optimal electric current was 11-13 Hz at 1.0 volt initially with gradual increase up to 22-26 Hz at 5.0-6.0 volts after 5 minutes. 2. The induction time was 7-20 minutes in all cased; 55.8% out of them showed the induction time of 7-10 minutes. 3. No differences were found in the analgesic effect and clinical signs between ages and between body weights. There were individual differences in the induction time and the optimal electric current. The respiratory and pulse rates were lower at 5 minutes after the removal of the needles than 5 minutes before attachment of needles to the electrodes.
