An experimental study on the performance and instability development characteristics of a centrifugal compressor equipped with a cambered variable diffuser has been performed with varying diffuser vane angles. The test was conducted at the design speed of 20,800 rpm and the 80% design speed of 16,640 rpm for 5 diffuser angles : 65$^{\circ}$, 70$^{\circ}$, 75$^{\circ}$, 77.5$^{\circ}$, 80$^{\circ}$ The steady performance test results showed that choking mass flow rate decreases and total pressure ratio increases with a narrowed surge margin as the diffuser vane angle increases. Unsteady pressures were measured using high-frequency pressure transducers at the inducer and the diffuser throat to investigate the instability phenomena such as rotating stall and surge inside the compressor. From the unsteady measurements, it is found that the transient process from rotating stall to surge was mainly affected by diffuser angles. The results of the present study can be applied to the instability control of the centrifugal compressors using a variable diffuser.

The experimental study on the effect of axial clearance between the tip of impeller blades and stationary shroud has been performed. The investigated compressor, which is a part of a small auxiliary power unit engine, consists of a curved inlet, a centrifugal impeller, a channel diffuser and a plenum chamber. It was designed for a total pressure ratio of 4.3 and an efficiency of $77\%$ at design speed of 60,000 rpm. The experiments are carried out in an open-loop centrifugal compressor test rig driven by a turbine. For the four different clearance ratios Cr(clearance/impeller tip width) of 6.25, 10.93, 15.60 and 20.30 percent, the overall performance data are obtained at $97\%,\;90\%$ and $80\%$ of the design speed. The results show the overall pressure ratio decrease of $7.7\%$ and the efficiency loss of $8.7\%$ across the variation of clearance ratio near the design speed. It also indicates that the influence of tip clearance became weaker as the flow rate is reduced and the stable operating range is not significantly influenced by the change of clearance ratio.

한국사상(韓國思想)(문학(文學)) : 『가룟 유다에 대한 證言』에 형상화된 수난 모티프 수용 양상

이 연구는 백도기의 장편소설 『가룟 유다에 대한 증언』을 중심으로 복음서에 전승되는 예수의 수난 모티프의 문학적 변용 양상 및 그에 담긴 작가의식을 규명하는 것이 목적이다. 백도기는 등단 초기부터 기독교적 세계관과 상상력에 바탕을 둔 작품을 지속적으로 발표해 오면서 한국 문학사에 기독교 소설의 가능성을 높여준 작가로 평가받는다. 특히 그는 복음서의 전승들을 패러디하여 현대의 신학적 주제로 재조명하는 것에 남다른 관심을 보여 온 작가일 뿐 아니라, 그에 대한 문학적 해석과 형상화에도 탁월한 성과를 남겨 주었다. 본 연구의 대상인 『가룟유다에 대한 증언』도 이러한 특성과 성과가 잘 드러난 소설이다. 본 연구는 예수의 일생에서 가장 드라마틱한 장면인 수난 모티프를 형상화한 백도기의 소설이 복음서의 전승과 어떤 차이를 두고 재해석되고 있는지를 분석함에 일차적 목표를 두었다. 그리고 이러한 재해석과 변형에 내재된 작가의 패러디 의도를 규명함으로써 백도기의 신학적 사유와 현실 인식의 특성을 진단하는 것에 초점을 맞추었다. 이를 통해 한국 문학사의 변방에 해당하는 기독교 문학의 가능성을 재확인함과 동시에 문학과 종교의 상관성이 한국 소설사에 발현되는 한 양상을 확인하는 계기가 될 것이다. This study sought to identify the literary application patterns of Jesus’ suffering motif and the writer’s intention in such patterns as shown in the gospels in the novel, Testimony on Judas Iscariot by Do-ki Baek. Baek has consistently published works based on a Christian worldview and framework since he launched his literary career. He is thus evaluated as one of the writers that opened up the possibilities of Christian-themed Korean literature. In particular, he parodied the ways that the gospels were handed down in order to shed new light on them as a theological theme in contemporary times. Moreover, he also contributed to the literary interpretation and portrayal of such contemporary theological themes. The Testimony on Judas Iscariot, which is the subject of this study, clearly shows this aspect of Baek. The goal of this study was to analyze how Do-ki Baek’s novel and its portrayal of the suffering motif which is one of the most dramatic scene in Jesus’ life differs from the delivery of the gospel. By shedding light on such a re-interpretation and the writer’s intention implied in it, this study sought to diagnose the theological thoughts of Do-ki Baek and his recognition of reality. In doing so, this study re-verifies the possibilities for Korean-themed Christian literature, and confirms a pattern of a relationship between literature and religion in the history of Korean literature.

외국인 유학생 대학 생활 적응 프로그램 연구

본 연구는 지난 10년 동안 두 배 가까운 증가세를 나타내고 있는 외국인 유학생의 국내대학 입학에 따른 대학생활 적응 프로그램 연구에 목적을 두었다. 한류열풍과 함께 정부 주도의 세계화 정책, 그리고 학령인구 감소에 따른 대학 자체의 위기감 등이 복합적으로 작용한 이유로 국내대학의 유학생 증가는 가파르게 증가하고 있다. 반면에 이들을 제대로 교육할 교육과정의 체계는 여전히 문제점을 드러내고 있는 것이 현실이다. 특히 낯선 문화적 환경에 그대로 노출된 유학생들에게 대학생활 적응과 학습성과를 높일 수 있는 프로그램은 대학생활의 성패를 좌우한다는 1학년 시기에 반드시 제공되어야 할 중요성을 지닌다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 외국인 유학생 대상 대학생활 적응 프로그램으로 다음의 세 가지 주제를 담은 모듈을 제안하였다. 첫째 유학생이 입학한 대학에서 제공하는 각종 학습활동 자원을 소개하고 효과적으로 활용하는 방법을 학습하는 교육 모듈, 둘째 한국문화의 특수성을 비롯한 대학문화에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 문화적 충돌을 극복하고 해결하는 교육 모듈, 그리고 마지막 세 번째는 대학 학업의 수월성을 높이기 위해 한국어를 활용한 보고서 작성의 방법과 실례에 대한 교육 모듈이 그것이다. 또한 이러한 교육 모듈을 학생들에게 제공한 결과에 따른 만족도 분석을 통해 개선 방향을 점검하고 제언함으로써 유학생 대상 대학생활 적응 프로그램의 고도화를 위한 초석을 제공함에 의미를 두었다. This study aims to examine the university life adaptation program according to the admission of international students to domestic universities, which has almost doubled over the past ten years. The number of international students at domestic universities is rapidly increasing due to the combination of the Wave of Korean Culture, the government led globalization policy, and the sense of crisis in the university itself due to the decrease in the school-age population. However, the reality is that the proper curriculum system to educate such students still has problems. In particular, programs for international students in the first year, such as those pertaining to students adapting to college life and those promoting academic capability, are crucial because the first year determines the success or failure of college life since international students experience unfamiliar cultural environments. Accordingly, this study proposes a module containing the following three themes for the international students' college life adaptation program: the module that introduces various learning resources provided by the university where international students are enrolled and which they can learn how to use more effectively; the module that overcomes and resolves cultural conflicts based on the understanding of university culture including the peculiarities of Korean culture; and the module concerning the methods and examples of report writing using Korean to increase the excellence of university studies. In addition, this study provides a foundation for the advancement of the university life adaptation program for international students by checking and suggesting improvement directions through satisfaction analysis according to the results of providing these educational modules to students.

S대학 글쓰기 교육의 의사소통역량 효과성 분석

이 논문은 S대학이 교양필수로 개설하고 있는 글쓰기 교과목의 수업 효과성 검증을 통해 해당 교과목이 재학생들의 의사소통역량 함양에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 확인함에 목적을 두었다. 특히 S대학의 글쓰기 교과목은 이론 중심으로 구성되어 있는 것이 아니라, 다양한 비교과 활동을 연계하고 있다는 점이 특징이다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 S대학 글쓰기 교육의 수업 효과성에 의미 있는 차이를 나타나게 한 원인 분석을 위해 S대학 글쓰기 교육과정의 구성상 특성과 연계 비교과 프로그램의 운영 방식을 먼저 살펴보았다. 그리고 이와 연계하여 수업 효과성을 조사하기 위해 활용한 진단도구에 대한 간략한 소개와 함께 연구방법 및 연구결과를 순차적으로 분석 제시하였다. 특히 의사소통 수업 효과성에 대한 분석은 기본역량과 특수역량의 두 범주로 나누어 제시하였으며, 아울러 계열별 효과성을 비교 검증함으로써 향후 해당 교과목의 개선을 위한 방향과 대안을 모색하는 것으로 연구를 마무리하였다. 본 연구의 결과 S대학의 의사소통의 기본역량 전체평균은 2.14점이었으며, 특수역량 전체평균은 2.80으로 특수역량이 기본역량보다 상대적으로 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석을 토대로 S대학 글쓰기 교과목의 의사소통역량 효과성을 평가해 볼 때 해당 교과과정은 재학생들의 의사소통 역량증진에 의미 있는 효과를 주는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 반면 의사소통의 기본역량 중 상대적으로 낮은 효과성을 보인 이해(△M=.25)와 특수역량 중 상대적으로 낮은 효과성을 보인 동기(△M=.15) 부분에 대한 증진방안 마련이 요구된다. 아울러 계열별 효과성 분석 결과, 법학계열의 의사소통 역량 증진이 가장 저조한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 계열별 특성에 적합한 교수-학습 방법 및 교재개발에 대한 학문적 논의가 요구된다. 그리고 글쓰기 교과가 실용적 측면에서의 직업인을 양성하는 교육목표는 달성하지만, 자아 성찰적 성장을 통해 인성을 함양하는 전인교육의 차원은 반영하고 있지 못한 것으로 판단되는데, 교육 내용인 글쓰기 주제 측면에서도 깊이 있는 고민과 보완이 필요할 것으로 보인다. This paper aims to confirm how the writing courses that is S university requirement classes to students in liberal arts courses affect the students’ communication competency by verifying the effectiveness of those courses. In particular, the writing courses are characterized by rather linking various Extracurricular programs than conducting theory-centered practices. This paper first examines structural uniqueness of the writing courses and operation of extracurricular programs in order to figure out the causes that made meaningful differences in the effectiveness of writing courses. Then, it introduces a brief introduction to the diagnostic tools used to investigate their effectiveness, and explores the research methods and results sequentially. Specifically, the analysis on their effectiveness is divided into two categories: basic competency and special competency. At last, this study is concluded by comparing and verifying the effectiveness to find directions and alternatives for improving the courses in the future. The findings shows that the special competency was relatively higher than the basic one(total average of special competency: 2.80/ total average of basic competency; 2.14). The findings can be interpreted that the curriculum has an effect on students’ communication competency. Meanwhile, the findings require to improve the relatively less effective understanding in basic communication competency(△M=.251) and the relatively less effective motivation in special ones(△M=.147). Furthermore, the singularity is that the law department shows the lowest level of achievement. Therefore, this study firstly suggests that academic discussions on teaching-learning methods and textbook development suitable for each department be required. Second, the writing curriculum should be improved for students‘ self-reflection growth with various topic and composition in order to achieve their multi-layered goals.

한국 최초의 대학 ‘崇實’이 한국 문학에 남긴 영향

이 글은 민족 최초의 대학인 숭실대학교가 건학된 지 111주년을 기념한 학술대회에서 숭실 문학의 지나 온 과정을 되짚어 보고자 하는 의도로 쓰여 졌다. 숭실은 근대화와 일제치하라는 격랑의 역사 속에서 건학한 이후 지금까지 민족적 사명을 감당하기에 결코 나태하지 않았다. 식민지 상황이라는 비극 속에서도 꿋꿋하게 민족의식을 고취시키며 독립운동의 면면에 그 역할을 성실히 감당해 왔다. 또한 애국계몽운동, 농촌진흥, 과학기술의 보급, 한국 근대음악의 발전 등에 뚜렷한 영향을 끼치면서 한국 역사의 중심에 서 있었다. 『숭실학보』, 『숭실문학보』, 『숭실활천』 등의 교지(校紙)를 통해 문학적 성과를 쌓아오던 숭실의 문학이 본격적인 토대를 갖추게 된 것은 80년대를 기점으로 국어국문학과가 창설되고 뒤이어 문예창작학과가 창설되면서부터이다. 이때부터 체계적인 문예교육과 창작교육이 이루어지면서 한국 문단을 이끌어 나갈 신예작가들이 꾸준히 등장하기 시작했는데, 이병렬을 선두로 조기봉, 문재호, 이재홍, 조현, 김태용 등이 이 시기의 주목받는 작가들이다. 이병렬은 군 하사관으로 장기 복무한 병영 생활의 체험, 대학원 시절과 시간강사의 삶으로 이어지는 작가의 체험을 바탕으로 소시민의 일상에 대한 따뜻한 시선을 가진 다수의 작품을 발표하고 있다. 그리고 고인(故人)이 된 조기봉의 경우도 비록 짧은 생애였지만 삶에 대하여, 죽음에 대하여, 그리고 사랑에 대하여 관심을 기울였다. 한편 최근에 와서 문단의 집중적인 조명을 받기 시작한 작가로 조현과 김태용을 빼놓을 수 없다. 2008년 〈동아일보〉 신춘문예로 등단한 조현의 경우는 현대 문명에 대한 지적인 냉소와 유쾌한 비틀기를 통해 현대 사회를 바라보는 통찰력이 매우 날카로운 면모를 보여준다. 그는 현대문명이 직면하고 있는 심각성을 오히려 농담처럼 해소해 나가면서 지금까지의 한국 문학이 보여주지 못했던 독특한 소설세계를 만들어 가고 있다. 또한 2005년 『세계의 문학』으로 등단하고 2008년 ‘한국일보 문학상’을 수상한 김태용의 경우도 ‘언어’라는 매개를 아주 능수능란하게 사용하면서 기존의 서사문학과는 변별되는 자신만의 영역을 구축해 나가고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 결국 숭실 문학의 미래는 이들 신예작가들에 의해 그 전망을 밝게 내다볼 수 있다. This was written in order to look back over the past of Soongsil literature at a conference of commemorating the 111th anniversary of Soongsil since Soongsil University, Korea-first university was found. Soongsil has never been lazy to fill the national mission up to now since Soongsil was established in the history of modernization and Japanese imperialism. Even in a tragedy of a colony situation, Soongsil has aroused national consciousness and has filled its roles in all sides of the Independence movement. Also, Soongsil stands in the middle of Korean history as Soongsil clearly affected an enlightenment movement, a rural promotion, a spread of science & technology, and a development of Korean modern music. The literature of Soongsil which accumulated the literary performance through a school magazine such as ‘Soongsil Hakbo’, ‘Soongsil Literature’, and ‘Soongsil Hwalcheon’ has arranged the active foundation, after the department of Korean Language and Literature was established in 1980s and then the department of creative writing was opened. As the systematic literature education and creation education has been made from that time, new writers who will lead the Korean literary world started to appear constantly. Lee Byeongryeol, Jo Gibong, Mun Jaeho, Lee Jaehong, Jo Hyeon and Kim Taeyong occupied the attention for that time. Lee Byeongryeol has published many writings with a warm sight on normal citizens’ life based on his army experience as sergeant, the graduate school life, a part-time lecturer experience and the writer’s experience. Also, the decreased Jo Gibong was interested in the life, death and love even though he had a short time of life. Besides, Jo Hyeon and Kim Taeyong have recently started to receive an intensive spotlight in the literary world. Starting to write through a spring literature contest of [DongA Ilbo] in 2008, Jo Hyeon shows very keen insight of looking at the modern society through intelligent smile and pleasant twisting about the modern civilization. He has solved the seriousness of the modern civilization like a joke and has made the unique novel world that the Korean literature hasn’t contain up to now. Also, starting to write through [Literature of the World’ in 2005 and awarding ‘the literature prize of Hankook Ilbo’, Kim Taeyong has implemented his own area distinguished from the existing narrative literature while using the medium of ‘language’ sophisticatedly. After all, the future of Soongsil literature can be brightened by new writers.

한국 현대소설의 생태적 가능성

This study analyzes Korean modern novels that depict ecological problems and express reflections on them. As in the literature of Europe and the U.S., the ecology motif has become commonplace in Korean literature since the 1970s. Poems started to raise environmental issues from the 1970s but it was only after the 1980s that poets actively created their work with the motif. Meanwhile, narratives joined this trend a bit later; it was from the 1990s that fiction deeply centered on ecology became noticeable. Korean works of modern fiction, however, were published from the mid-1970s, and some had already reached with contemplation the highest level in literature. A Small Ball Shot Up by a Dwarf written by Jo Sehui in 1975 is the most exemplary novel among them. The story depicts the destruction of the environment inevitably caused by the highly industrialized Korean society in the 1970s. At the same time, it is possible to read the story from the literary ecological point of view since it includes a deeper ecological awareness of the confrontation among different classes and extreme isolation. This book accusingly presents the severe reality brought by environmental destruction in Korean society at the time. Likewise, since the story characterizes women who were oppressed and victimized by men, it is also feasible to analyze the story from the viewpoint of ecological feminism. Furthermore, if the reader focuses on the human nature of dominance masked in the confrontation among classes and economic disparity, it is viable to analyze the fiction from the social ecological viewpoint. Thus, A Small Ball Shot Up by a Dwarf can be analyzed on multiple layers from a variety of literary ecological points of view. This study reviews the author’s reflections on ecology implied in the narration of A Small Ball Shot Up by a Dwarf.
