청각장애대학생의 심리상담 경험에 대한 내용의 질적 분석

In this study, the counselling processes of 10 students of a university locate in A City who participated in personal counselling and group counselling were analyzed using Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR) based on the recorded word-for-word records to understand how the people with hearing impairment are experiencing their counselling in their counselling sessions accompanied by sign language interpreter. In the analysis result, people with hearing impairment reported in their early process of counselling the experiences they hadn’t experienced before, different feel than information delivery, newness and novelty of the view of problems, humiliation and consternation and their frustration and misunderstanding in communications. It can be said that the experience of counselling for people with hearing impairment who are less exposed to counselling is an experience of new culture.

This study tries to develop a self-resilience scale, a personality characteristic factor pertaining to adjustment of elementary school children. It refers to an ability to adapt to variable environment and probable situation which consists of displaying affirmativeness and adaptability in recognitive, interpersonal, and individual sphere. The development of this scale was specifically pointed to the development of a scale for self-resilience in searching school adjustment of school-aged children. To begin the study, by surveying and organizing relevant documents, four factors; self-recovery, interpersonal relationship, perceptibility, and stress management was drawn on the basis of internal characteristics and external environmental factors. An expert group selected thirty-five preliminary questions for both lower graders and higher graders and conducted a preliminary test on the grounds of the four factors. Twenty four questions were selected and modified after the review of the expert group, and twenty four questions appeared to be effective after conducting second preliminary test and question analysis. The reliability of the overall questions were Cronbach a= .913 and the reliability of the four factors ranged from .955 to .749, indicating correlation between the factors. Twenty four questions were confirmed through factor analysis. The significance and limitation of the results of this study and proposal for further studies were presented.
