We have studied on the operational characteristics of a nitrogen laser which was coupled with a multiplex parallel capacitor type Blumlein transmission line circuit and a multiplex sparkgap. This spark gap consisted of 8 pairs of electrode and was 50 ㎝ in length, as long as the laser tube. According to increasing the number of electrodes in the spark gaps up to the 6 pairs, the output power and stability of the laser was increased. It was to be improved that the multiplex spark gap was operated as a good peformance to the nitrogen laser system. The optimum operational condition of the nitrogen laser at 20㎐ of repetition rate could be obtained with the nitrogen gas pressure of 80 torr, E/P value of 325.0 v/㎝ torr at the electrodes spacing 5.0 ㎜ and of 90 torr, E/P value of 311.1 v/㎝ torr at the electrodes spacing 6.0 ㎜ respectively.

This case study reports on the effect of Korean medicine on a catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) caused by multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa. An 83-year-old man diagnosed with stroke had dysuria, and it was found that an indwelling urinary catheter led to CAUTI. From laboratory tests, we identified multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa and applied Korean medicine to him. After herbal medication with acupuncture and moxibustion, we studied a urinalysis and urine culture again for follow-up. We found meaningful improvement in bacteriuria and bacterial identification. This case suggests that Korean medicine could have a beneficial effect on urinary tract infections caused by multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
근육세포주에서 당 흡수 및 대사 조절에 대한 황기탕 에탄올 추출물의 효과

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of Hwanggi-tang on glucose digestion, uptake, and metabolism in murine C2C12 myotubes. Methods: Hwanggi-tang was prepared according to the Dong-ui-bo-gam (≪東醫寶鑑≫) prescription by 70% ethanol extraction. The effect on glucose digestion was examined by determining the inhibitory effect of Hwanggi-tang on α-glucosidase activity. We also compared and verified the gene and protein expression of genes related to glucose uptake in C2C12 myotubes treated with Hwanggi-tang or insulin. Glucose metabolism was assessed by the expression levels of associated enzymes. Results: Hwanggi-tang caused a dose-dependent inhibition of α-glucosidase activity, induced glucose uptake by activation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway in the insulin signaling pathway, and promoted glucose oxidation and β-oxidation. Conclusions: Hwanggi-tang exerts an anti-diabetic effect on murine myotubes by inhibiting glucose digestion and inducing glucose uptake and consumption.

Currently, Exterior wall's U-value about building envelope is 0.36W/㎡K(Central Region), but window's one is 2.1W/㎡K according to air gap of glazing, filling gas, coating and type of windows. The door's one is 1.6∼5.5 W/㎡?K depending on material and configuration of door. As such, energy loss per unit of door is considerably larger like windows. The door for the recognition was relatively low because energy loss through the door is relatively small compared to window area. In this paper, thermal performance was analyzed through simulation targeting the door which has thermal break that can improve the insulation performance and doesn't have one. As a results of simulations, case1 was calculated as the average of 1.63w/m2k and case 2 was calculated as the average of 4.14w/m2k. The thermal performance of door depends on the type and condition of insulations. As a results of final simulations, Case1 was calculated as 1.06w/m2k and Case2 was calculated as 1.27w/m2k. As a results of the experiments, thermal performance of case 1 was measured as 1.28w/m2k. Error between experiments and simulations is considered problems encountered when creating the samples. The effect of door frame on the overall thermal performance is slight because it's a small proportion of the door frame.

Until now, measures for energy saving in buildings have been tried. Because particularly the role of buildings area is very important for implementing national greenhouse gas reduction targets and Green growth. But, lack of business linkages between each sector or the interest and participation of private sector are not enough. In addition, relevant personnel to do had not been systematized. It is expected that certification services will be increased according to the activation of Building Energy Efficiency Rating System and expansion of the target buildings so Government must be prepared to expand of certification system by training Professional staff. In this study, the basic data for the introduction of obligation of Building Energy Efficiency Rating System is suggested through analysis of the operating and laws system of Building Energy Efficiency Rating System along with efforts of Government for diffusion low energy buildings.

According to the flow of energy is lost from the building, will be achieved through the walls and roof and windows. Although the basic concept of vacuum window was already initiated in 1893, it has not been developed completely until now because of the lack of manufacturing technology. Recently KIER (Korea Institute of Energy Research) succeeded in developing prototype vacuum window glazing in the lab. By applying the results of this experiment to building energy efficience rating tool, this study compares energy efficiency rates depending on a region.-Jeju, South, Central. And it shows how much does Super window reduce Building energy consumption.

The results of this study are as follows; 1)Thermal performance of insulated Vacuum Glazing measured as 1.0W/㎡℃ 2)Vacuum Glazing's reduction rates increased 8.82% from 29.54% to 38.36% when it is compared to normal windows. 3)Building energy efficiency rating elevated from 3rd rating to 2nd rating.

Enhancement of exterior's insulation performance like wall or window etc. is general way for building's energy efficient and thermal performance. In this paper, energy saving rate will be analyzed and compared considering the window‘s thermal performance in a apartment with Building Energy Rating System's evaluation tool. In the process of evaluation, energy saving rate is measured at each stage of the window's thermal performance from 3.3 to 2.0. As a result of this research, reduction rating of heating energy depending on the building law in comparision with standard house will be used in a plan for degree of Building Energy Efficiency Rating System.
