        한의학과 아유르베다의학의 약재 비교 고찰(I)

        Objectives & Methods : To compare the medicinal herbs between Ayurvedic medicine and traditional Korean medicine(TKM), we took reference of major publications related to Ayurvedic medicinal herbs such as Indian Herbal Remedies, Prime Ayurvedic Plant Drugs, with those of TKM. We selected most widely used 130 herbal species of Ayurvedic medicine and compared the similarities and differences with TKM. Comparative factors were the origin, habitation, synonyms, usage, medicinal parts, and precautions. Results : 1. The medicinal herbs Resinatum Lignum(沈香), Arecae Pericarpium(大腹皮), Arecae Semen(檳榔), Carthami Flos (紅花), Camphorum(樟腦), Crotonis Semen(巴豆), Curculiginis Rhizoma(仙茅) used in TKM did exactly correlate in their origins with those of Ayurvedic medicine. 2. Varieties of allied species were found in their origins. Benincasae Pericarpium(冬瓜皮), and Benincasae Semen(冬瓜子) derive from the same plant Benincasa hispida Cogn. for both Ayurvedic medicine and TKM. Interestingly, B. cerifera Savi. is also claimed for same uses in Ayurvedic medicine. This broadened use of allied species is found in various Ayurvedic herbal medicine such as Cannabis Semen(火麻仁) using Cannabis indica Lam., and Curcuma Longae Rhizoma(薑黃) using Curcuma domestica Valeton. This suggests the possibility of their usage also in TKM. 3. Myrrha(沒藥), and Curculiginis Rhizoma concorded their usage with TKM. While Arecae Pericarpium(大腹皮), Arecae Semen(檳榔), Aquilariae Resinatum Lignum(沈香), Pericarpium(冬瓜皮), Benincasae Semen(冬瓜子), Cannabis Semen(火麻仁), Carthami Flos(紅花), Camphorum(樟腦), Crotonis Semen(巴豆), Curcumae Radix(鬱金), Curcuma Longae Rhizoma(薑黃) and Zedoariae Rhizoma(莪朮) revealed varied efficacies according to their part used or usage forms. Conclusion : Both Ayurvedic medicine and TKM reflect the traditional medicine of its regions where is founded. Mutual understanding improves the capability of coping of diverse ailments of present days and also replacing some plants in the days of increasing threat to our environment. Abundant external applications of various plants found in Ayurvedic medicine were particularly useful for TKM to complement its strength in herbal intake.

        ABC 수송단백과 약물수송

        The ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters are involved in a variety of biologic processes in human and other organisms. Currently, 49 ABC transporter genes were identified in human genome and classified into 7 subfamilies according to their sequence homologies. The ABC proteins provide nutrients to the cells, protect them from a wide range of toxic compounds, and regulate basic biologic processes of essential organs such as alimentary tract, liver, lung and immune systems. Consequently, mutations affecting ABC-transporters have been found to be the underlying causes for a large number of human inherited diseases and individual diversity of drug responses. For example, aberrant membrane transport caused by mutations in CFTR gene is associated with a wide spectrum of respiratory and digestive diseases as well as cystic fibrosis. A group of ABC genes code the multi-drug resistance (MDR) and multidrug resistance-related proteins (MRPs) , which function as xenobiotic transporters. MDRI was originally identified as a gene that confers multi-drug resistance to cancer cells. The MRPs were discovered as a second type of drug pump in cancer cells exhibiting multi-drug resistance not caused by MDRl. However, recently it was found that they are the native exporters having physiological role of protecting organism from various toxic substances including commonly prescribed medications. Thus, identifying the individual genetic variations of these transporters carries significant meaning in pharmacotherapy of post-genomic era, since such genetic variants are likely to be an important source for the inter-individual variability in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of many drugs. Future investigations in large scale analysis of ABC transporter genes will provide the basis for understanding the pathogenesis of many genetic disorders and for elucidating the molecular mechanisms related to individual diversity of drug responses.

        In this study, Among various rail track systems, Ballast and concrete track system of Seoul-Busan High-speed Line was adopted to quantify the amount of environment load through the LCA technique. It was intended to compare the results of both track systems through investigating life cycle inventory and gathering the material and energy flows of each track system. With applying the LCA technique to railway infrastructure, which simple maintenance was considered in the past, fundamental technology can be established for the sustainable development in the railway construction industry.

        스크린 프린팅법에 의한 탄소나노튜브 전계방출소자의 제조기술

        The carbon nanotube emitters for field emission displays were fabricated by using screen printing techniques. The pastes for screen printing are composed of organic binders, carbon nanotubes (multiwalled or singlewalled), and some additive materials. The pastes were printed on Cr-coated/Ag-printed soda-lime glass substrates. From the I-V characteristics, the turn-on field of SWNT was lower than that of MWNT. The decrease in the mesh size of screen masks (i.e. increase in the opening size of the screen mesh) resulted in decreasing the turn-on field and increasing the electron emission current. When the carbon nanotubes were mixed with silver pastes, silver powders appeared to contribute to the vertically aligning of carbon nanotubes on a glass.

        티벳 전통의학(傳統醫學)에 관(關)한 고찰(考察)

        Objectives : There has been little known about the Tibetan medicine in the society for Korean medicine. The aim of this study is to review the system of Tibetan medicine and compare with Korean medicine. Methods : The authors investigated several literatures that mentioned Tibetan medicine and organized in physiology, pathology, diagnostics, and treatment. And then, we interpreted the characteristics of Tibetan medicine as well as compared Tibetan medicine with Korean medicine. After that, we analyzed the commons and the differences, and also found out the meaning of Tibetan medicine. Results : The theory of Tibetan medicine is basically constituted of three elements of Lung, Tripa, and Peken in every parts of physiology, pathology, diagnostics, and treatment. Many organs of human body are compared to the fabrications of building. There is a detail explanation about the process of the development of fetus in Tibetan medicine. Tibetan medicine uses taking pulse in wrist, analysis of urine, watching of tongue, sperm, and menstruation, and etc. for diagnosis. In Tibetan medicine, regimen is prior to other treatments such as surgical treatment and medications. Conclusions : There is the oriental thought of '3' in Tibetan medicine, and esoteric buddhism is solved in Tibetan medicine. The anatomy and the diagnostics using urine, sperm, and menstruation have especially been developed in Tibetan medicine. Tibetan medicine emphasizes the feature of preventive medicine.

      • 댕댕이나무에 대한 문헌고찰

        Objectives : So far, there has been a lot of research on Lonicera caerulea var. edulis in korea. but, There has not been a systematic and comprehensive literature study. In order to use it as a basic data for future research on Lonicera caerulea var. edulis, a literature review was conducted. Methods : Lonicera caerulea var. edulis is called by various names, the English name is usually called blue honeysuckle, but it is also called honey berry, honeysuckle, edible honeysuckle, and sweetberry. After searching for related words mentioned above at RISS (http://www.riss.kr), DBpia (http://www.dbpia.co.kr), and kiss (http://kiss.kstudy.com), We have summarized the background, experimental method, and conclusion of the paper. Conclusion & Results : Among 12 selected papers, there were 1 paper on the plant, 2 papers for extraction & commercialization, and 1 paper for toxicity evaluation. The rest were all papers on efficacy evaluation.

        상표소와 상심자가 난소적출로 유발된 흰쥐의 골다공증 치료효과에 미치는 영향

        Objectives:The present study has been undertaken to investigate the effects of Mantidis $O\ddot{O}theca$ and Mori Fructus on treatment of osteoporosis in ovariectomized rats. Methods: In this experiment, the rats were ovariectomized. Rats were administered by Mantidis $O\ddot{O}theca$ and Mori Fructus. The levels of bone mineral density, osteocalcin.ALP.calcium.phosphorus in serum, calcium. phosphorus.deoxypyridinoline in urine and calcium.phosphorus.ash weight in bone were measured. Results: 1. The levels of femoral and fibula-tibial bone mineral density were significantly increased in comparison with OVX group at 4, 8 weeks in Mantidis $O\ddot{O}theca$ group. And the levels of femoral and fibula-tibial bone mineral density were significantly increased in comparison with OVX group at 8 weeks in Mori Fructus group. 2. The levels of serum osteoclacin and ALP showed significant decrease in comparison with OVX group at 4, 8 weeks in Mantidis $O\ddot{O}theca$ and Mori Fructus group. The levels of serum calcium showed significant decrease in comparison with OVX group at 4 weeks in Mantidis $O\ddot{O}theca$ and Mori Fructus group. The levels of serum phosphorus showed significant decrease in comparison with OVX group at 4, 8 weeks in Mantidis $O\ddot{O}theca$ and Mori Fructus group. 3. The levels of urine calcium, phosphorus and deoxypyridinoline showed significant decrease in comparison with OVX group in Mantidis $O\ddot{O}theca$ and Mori Fructus group. 4. The levels of fibula-tibial calcium and phosphorus showed significant increase in comparison with OVX group in Mantidis $O\ddot{O}theca$ group and Mori Fructus group. The levels of femoral calcium and phosphorus showed significant increase in comparison with OVX group in Mori Fructus group. The levels of femoral and fibula-tibial ash weight showed significant increase in comparison with OVX group in Mantidis $O\ddot{O}theca$ group and Mori Fructus group. Conclusions: Reviewing these experimetal results, it appeared that Mantidis $O\ddot{O}theca$ and Mori Fructus had efficacy on treatment of osteoporosis.
