      • 유리 용해로 축열실 상재 하중 증가에 따른 Rider Arch의 안전성 검토

        유리용해로의 축열실은 폐연소가스로 열을저장하며, 유리용해로에 유입되는 흡입공기를 예열시키는 역할을 한다. 유리용해산업에서 연료소비를 줄이기 위하여 절연법, 단열벽돌, 공기누출등이 오래 연구되었다. 또한 새로운 형태의 단열벽돌과 Rider arch가 유리용해로의 수명연장을 위하여 연구되고 있다. 본 연구는 연구대상공장의 이전설치시 유리용해로의 축열실이 5.64m에서 7.89m로 높이가 높아졌고 이에 따른 축열실 하중증가에 의하여 Rider arch가 더 높은 응력을 받게 되었다. 이런 조건에서 Rider arch의 기계적 안정성을 본 연구에서 검토하였다. 계산식에 의하면 하중증가에 따른 Rider arch의 응력은 안정한 것으로 평가되었고 Rider arch가 견딜수 있는 최대 압축응력은 163kg/$cm^2$이고, 최대전단응력은 6.37kg/$cm^2$이다. The regenerator is important part of the glass melting furnace to increase the temperature of the intake air through the combustion flame. The insulation, checker brick, prevention of the air leak has been studied to decrease the fuel consumption in glass melting industries. Thus the new types of checker brick and the design of the rider arch has been studied to prolong the life of the glass melting furnace. The height of the regenerator increased from 5.64 m to 7.89 m in the reforming of the glass melting furnace. Thus the stability of the rider arch is studied under the condition of increased load of checker brick in this research. The rider arch was estimated to be stable inspite of the increase of load according to the calculation. The max. sustained compressive stress of the rider arch is 163 kg/$cm^2$ and the max. sustained shear stress is 6.37 kg/$cm^2$.

        올리고당을 사용한 스폰지 케이크가 흰쥐의 소화관 생리와 혈청지질에 미치는 영향

        본 실험은 가공과정을 통한 올리고당의 생리적 효과가 잔존하는지를 알아보고자 하여, 설탕 대신 프락토올리고당과 이소말토올리고당을 40%수준으로 대치하여 구운 스폰지 케이크분말과 AIN-76에 준하여 만든 기본 식이를 각각 30:70으로 혼합하여 흰쥐에 25일간 섭취시켜 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 실험 동물의 일일섭취량과 체중증가량 및 식이효율은 3군에서 모두 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 간의 무게와 소장 길이도 대조군과 모든 실험군에서 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 맹장 내용물과 맹장 조직량의 무게는 프락토올리고당 섭취군에서만 뚜렷이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 맹장 내용물의 pH는 프락토올리고당, 이소말토올리고당 섭취군 모두에서 유의적으로 감소된 결과를 보여주었다. 변내 수분함량은 프락토올리고당 섭취군에서 가장 크게 나타났으며, 이소말토올리고당군에서도 유의적으로 증가되었다. 1일 변 배설량은 프락토올리고당 섭취군과 이소말토올리고당섭취군에서 모두 증가되었다. 혈청 내 총 콜레스테롤은 프락토올리고당 섭취군에서만 유의적으로 감소하여 혈청 지질 개선 효과를 보여주었다. 혈중 요소 질소(BUN)농도는 올리고당 섭취군이 대조군에 비해 다소 낮은 경향을 보였다. 그러므로 본 연구에서 스폰지케이크 제조시에 첨가되었던 이소말토올리고당은 변배설량과 변내 수분함량의 증가, 맹장 내용물의 pH저하에 효과를 보여주었으며, 프락토올리고당은 맹장 내용물과 맹장 wall의 증가, 변 배설량 및 변내 수분함량의 증가, 맹장 내용물의 pH저하, 혈장 지질 저하 등의 효과를 보여주어 스폰지 케이크의 제조와 같은 열처리 후에도 바람직한 기능성이 충분히 남아 있는 것으로 나타났다. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of oligosaccharides(fructo- or isomalto-) contained in sponge cake on blood lipids and intestinal physiology in rats. The experimental diet was mixed with 30% sponge cakes. Normal male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing about 530g were randomly assigned to three groups and placed on experimental diets and deionized water at free access for 25 days. Rat in control group received a diet mixed with sponge cake containing sucrose only at 21.58g/100g diet and rats in the other two groups received diets mixed with sponge cakes of which 40% sucrose was replaced with each oligosaccharide. The results obtained were as follows: No significant differences in efficiency of food, liver weight and intestinal length were observed among groups. The cecal contents and cecal wall weights were increased more in fructooligosaccharide(FO) group than control. The pH of cecal contents decreased significantly in two oligosaccharide groups. The water contents of fresh feces in FO group were the highest and the those of two oligosaccharide groups were higher than that of control. Dry fecal weight increased significantly in isomaltooligosaccharide(IMO) group. Total serum cholesterol concentration was significantly lower in FO group. Serum triglyceride(TG) was not significantly different among three groups at p<0.05, but serum TG of FO group was lower than those of other groups. In conclusion, 40% replacement of sucrose with oligosaccharides in sponge cake may have beneficial effects on lipid metabolism and intestinal function in rats.

        In this study, the total phenolic, flavonoid, sugar, β-carotene, organic acid and mineral contents of chajogi(perilla frutescens), gomchwi(coriandeum sativum), meowi(Petasites japonicus) and sseumbagwi (Ixeris dentata) were evaluated. The total phenolic content of chajogi, gomchwi, meowi and sseumbagwi was 115.4 mg%, 291.6 mg%, 51.8 mg%, and 313.9 mg%, respectively, with the content of sseumbagwi being significantly higher than the content of the other plants(p<0.05). The total flavonoid content of cajogi, gomchwi, meowi and sseumbagwiwas 57.3 mg%, 193.1 mg%, 10.6 mg%, and 183.0 mg%, respectively. Although these values were significantly different but gomchwi and sseumbagwi were no significant difference observed(p<0.05). The sugar content was 8.4 g% in chajogi, 10.9 g% in gomchwi, 17.0 g% in meowi, and 8.4 g% in sseumbagwi. The β-carotene content of chajogi, gomchwi, meowi and sseumbagwi was 47.6 mg%, 194.8 mg%, 20.7 mg%, and 185.4 mg% respectively. The total organic acid content was 3947.5 mg% in chajogi, 3265.4 mg% in gomchwi, 2473.5 mg% in meowi, and 6241.0 mg% in sseumbagwi. Finally, the total mineral content was 3808.0 mg% in chajogi, 5860.2 mg% in gomchwi, 9522.2 mg% in meowi, and 5530.5 mg% in sseumbagwi.

        스몰웨딩에 관한 소비자인식 및 선호도연구

        Amidst the prolonged economic recession, the recent wedding culture came to bring about a social issue due to the empty formalities & vanity and to the high-cost marriage culture. As for one of many factors in which this wedding culture was formed, the unemployment crisis caused by socially unstable jobs, and the high house prices, led to being abandoned marriage. The appearance of the so-called ‘Sampo generation’ which gives up three chances such as date, marriage and childbirth, led to coming to deeply think about marriage culture of pursuing an actual benefit, which revived the true meaning of marriage, and to moving forward small wedding with the individually customized wedding ceremony. Accordingly, the aim of this study was to examine the present status of a wedding market and to inquire into which awareness and preference are being captured for small wedding through a change in perception of marriage that the current generation supports. This study came to be helpful in understanding young generations change in values on marriage. In addition, An institutional plan is expected to be sought so that the small wedding is considered to be economical and rational. and to be developed as marriage culture of focusing on substance rather than ostensible decoration, with escaping from the stereotypical wedding-ceremony culture.

        대전지역 종합병원 혈액투석환자의 영양섭취상태와 영향 요인

        This study aims to examine nutrient intake status of 74 patients(males: 37, females: 37) regularly undergoing hemodialysis at a university hospital and look at correlation between their nutrient intake and other nutrient-related factors. Out of 74 patients enrolled, 41 patients (55.4%) were in duration of maintenance hemodialysis (HD) under 2 years. The subjects average body mass index, and percentage of ideal body weight were in normal ranges at 21.8 kg/㎡ and 101.4%, respectively. Their hemoglobin and total cholesterol levels were lower than normal range for hemodialysis patients. Their blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, calcium, phosphorus, sodium, and triglyceride levels were at acceptable levels in hemodialysis patients. Their calorie and protein intake was lower than the standard nutritional intake recommended for hemodialysis patients and their calcium, vitamin C and folic acid intake levels were much less than the standard levels at 65%, 66% and 45%, respectively. The result of analysis of the factors that affected their intakes of calorie, protein, phosphorus, sodium and potassium were that the less stress they were exposed, the higher income they earned, the higher their nutrition knowledge scores was, the higher education leve was. In order to manage such factors, patients family, medical saff and relevant experts should pay continuous attention and an environment where hemodialysis patients are obliged to participate in nutritional education programs should be formed in order to manage their nutritional status, so that they can select appropriate diet and have desirable dietary habits.

        사염화탄소 유발 급성 간독성 생쥐모델에서 산양삼 에탄올 추출물의 간 보호 효과

        본 연구에서는 총항산화능 및 DPPH radicals 소거활성도를 통하여 항산화능을 확인한 산양삼 에탄올 추출물이 사염화탄소 투여로 급성 손상이 유도된 생쥐의 간에 대하여 보호 효능이 있는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 생리적 지표물질로 혈장 지질, GPT 활성, 혈장과 간의 TBARS 및 항산화효소 활성, 혈액 백혈구의 DNA fragmentation 등을 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 산양삼의 DPPH radicals 소거능은 76.85 ± 1.06%, IC50은 33.3 ㎍/mL였으며 총항산화능은 2.13 ± 0.06 mmoL/㎎으로 양성대조군으로 사용한 아스코르브산 (96.45 ± 0.07%, IC50 = 16.5 ㎍/mL, 3.63 ± 0.06 mmoL/㎎)과 BHT (95.40 ± 0.71%, 3.12 ± 0.02 mmoL/㎎) 보다는 낮았지만 천연물질로써는 높은 수준을 보였다. 장기 무게 및 식이 섭취량은 산양삼 추출물 투여 및 사염화탄소 처치 여부에 따라서 어떤 차이도 보이지 않았다. 혈장의 GPT와 혈중 트리글리세리드의 경우 정상대조군에 비해 사염화탄소단독투여군에서 유의하게 낮았으며, 산양삼 추출물 투여군에서는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 혈청 총콜레스테롤 농도는 사염화탄소단독투여군 (84.5 ± 23.0 ㎎/dL)이 정상 대조군 (140.6 ± 30.3 ㎎/dL)에 비하여 유의하게 감소하였으며, 산양삼 추출물 투여군 (130.68 ± 31.33 ㎎/dL)은 정상대조군과 같은 수준이었다 (p < 0.001). 사염화탄소 단독투여군의 간조직에서 TBARS는 정상대조군 (N)에 비해 28.64% 유의하게 증가하였으며 산양삼 추출물 투여군은 정상대조군과 비슷한 수치를 보였으나 (p < 0.001) 적혈구내의 TBARS는 세 군간의 유의한 차이가 없었다. 간조직의 SOD의 활성은 산양삼 추출물 투여군에서 유의하게 증가하였으며, 적혈구에서는 이러한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 그리고 적혈구내 GPx 활성은 사염화탄소 투여에 의해 20.1% 유의한 감소를 보였으며, 산양삼 추출액을 투여받은 군은 정상대조군의 수준을 유지하였다. 사염화탄소 투여군에서 혈장 백혈구의 tail DNA, tail length, tail moment 모든 값은 정상대조군에 비하여 각각 84.4%, 98.8%, 123.7% 증가하였으며, 산양삼 투여군에서는 이 모든 수치가 대조군의 수준으로 감소하였다 (p < 0.001). 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면 5일간 산양삼 에탄올 추출물을 미리 투여한 후 사염화탄소로 급성 간 손상을 유도하였을 때 혈 중 콜레스테롤 대사를 개선하고, 간의 지질 과산화를 효과적으로 억제하였으며 간의 SOD와 적혈구 GPx의 효소 활성을 대조군 이상으로 유지시키고, 산화적 손상으로부터 DNA를 보호하는 등의 일부생리 활성을 확인하였다. 그러나 이런 산양삼의 항산화 활성의 작용 기전에 대하여 확실히 규명되어 있지 않아 추후보다 세부적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. The wild simulated ginseng (WSG) has been effectively used in folk medicine as a remedy against hepatic disease, hypertension and arthritic disease. However, there is still lack of scientific proof about its antioxidant capability. The present study has been conducted to evaluate the protective role of the WSG ethanol extract in the CCl₄-induced oxidative stress and resultant hepatic disfunction in ICR mice. The electron donating abilities and IC50 of WSG etnanol extract were 76.86 ± 1.06% and 33.3 ㎍/mL (that of ascobic acid was 16.5 ㎍/mL), respectively. Total antioxidant status of WSG extract was 2.13 ± 0.06 mmoL/mg, while the values of ascorbic acid and BHT were 3.63 ± 0.06 and 3.12 ± 0.02, respectively. ICR mice (aged 3weeks) were fed for 4 weeks on AIN-93M diet and had free access to food and water. The animals were divided into three groups: normal group (intraperitoneally (i.p) injected with PBS at 100 μL/mouse), group C; CCl₄-induced and without any treatment. (i.p injected only PBS, 100 μL /mice), group G; CCl₄-induced and treated with WSG (i.p injected with 5 mg WSG extract per mouse, suspended in 100 μL phosphate buffer). After the i.p. injection of WSG or PBS (5 times for 7weeks), all mice were administered CCl4 in olive oil at the last day of the experiment, except for normal group. The normal group was administered only olive oil. Determination of plasma triglyceride, total cholersterol, fasting glucose and GPT activity was performed using automatic blood analyzer. To evaluate the protective effect against the oxidative stress, DNA fragmentation and TBARS were determined in blood leucocytes and RBC and hepatocyte, respectively. Body and organs weights and food intake did not show significant differences among the groups. Blood total cholesterol of group G was similar to that of normal group, which was the lowest in group C. The fasting blood glucose level was the highest in normal group (205.20 ± 135.24), which were decreased in group C (134.2 ± 79.31) and group G (126.48 ± 77.05). TBARS values in a red blood cell and hepatic tisuue homogenate were lower in group G comparing to the group C. DNA% in tail, tail length (TL) and tail moment (TM) of blood leucoocytes showed the highest values in group C (20.11 ± 2.47, 17.36 ± 2.58, 94.11 ± 12.29) and they were significantly diminished in group G (9.63 ± 1.19, 7.04 ± 1.50, 38.64 ± 7.60). In conclusion, wild simulated ginseng might be a protective agent against the oxidative stress.

        갈색거저리 분말을 첨가한 양갱의 품질특성

        The objective of this study was to estimate the characteristics and quality of yanggaeng made with varying levels of mealworm powder, ranging from 0 to 12 percent. As the level of mealworm powder within yanggaeng increased, the ash and protein content levels increased and the moisture content level decreased. Additionally, as the mealworm powder content increased, the lightness (L), and yellowness (b) significantly increased while the redness (a) decreased simultaneously. Overall, the total content of polyphenols and antioxidant activities (DPPH radical scavenging, ABTS radical scavenging, FRAP value) in yanggaeng increased with the addition of mealworm powder. When compared to the control group, the addition of mealworm powder reduced yanggaeng’s adhesion and elasticity, and augmented its cohesiveness, stickiness, and chewiness. The results of the sensory evaluation showed that yanggaeng with 6% mealworm powder received the highest ratings in chewiness, softness, and overall acceptability. In conclusion, yanggaeng’s protein content and antioxidant activity increased as the content of mealworm powder increased, and sensory evaluation participants preferred yanggaeng with a 6% mealworm addition, indicating that yanggaeng with a 6% mealworm content may act as an excellent functional food when supplemented with aroma and taste.
