The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of child stress with child's temperament, mother's marital satisfaction, and family economic strain. The subjects were 314 mothers of children in three to five years of age. Who were enrolled in the day care centars or Kindergartens an Inchon. The results were as follows: First, child's temperament was significantly related to child stress. Second, mother's marital satisfaction was significantly related to child stress. Third, family economic strain was significantly related to child stress. Finally, mother's marital satisfaction and child's temperament were significant variables to affect child stress. Mother's marital satisfaction was the most influential among three predicting variables.

The present study was undertaken to investigate how polydextrose influence on mineral utilization. Nineteen male rats of Wisler strain with initial body weight averaging 69.3±4.1g were used in the experiment. The rats were randomly divided into groups: Control, 3% polydextrose and 5% polydextrose groups. They were housed individually in metabolic cages. They were fed with respective diet fat 42 days. The results are as follows ; 1) The rats in 3% polydextrose group indicated higher calcium, magnesium and phosphorus retention as compared with the control group. 2) No difference among content of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus in plasma, liver and kindney. 3) The rats in 5% polydextrose group indicated higher calcium content in distal and magnesium content in proxmal as compared with the control group. 4) Control group indicated higher calcium, phosphorus content as compared with the 3%, 5% polydextrose groups in fumer. But no difference among content of magnesium from the three groups were observed.

Starch has been regarded as one of the useful foods of mankind, and in Chinese foods main ingregients of sauce have been made from the unique viscosity of gelatinized starch. Here, several kinds of starches of rhizome such as ginger starch, potato starch, sweetpotato starch and arrowroot, were chosen carefully. The experiments and comparisons were carried out to investigate whether they were suitable for sauce ingregients or not. The methods used in the experiments were as follows; (1) measuring and comparing the viscosity of each starch by means of a Brabender Amylograhp -6% thich starch liquid-and measuring The change of viscosity by adding sugarm, salt and vinegar to each starch; (2) measuring the texture of gelatine by using a Rheo-meter-18% thick starch liquid; (3) measuring melting degrees of starch granules by using an Auto melt-pointer; (4) comparing colors of gelatinized starches by using a Digital color-meter of Richard S. Hunter. The results are summarized as follows ; (1) Ginger starch begins to gelatinize at 86.5℃. The viscosity of ginger starch is increased in proportion to adedd sugar, and decreased in proportion to added acid. (2) Gelatine of ginger starch is apt to harden due to its own poor preservation ability. (3) The shapes of ginger starch granules are similiar to those of potato starch granules; they are oval. But diameter of potato starch granule is two or three times as long as that of ginger starch granule. (4) Ginger starch begins to expand at 64℃ and to gelatinize slowly, while potato starch to melt rapidly at 64℃. (5) Gelatines of patato starch, arrowroot and ginger starch are clean and trans-parentness and gelatine of sweetpotato starch has a turbid color.

Young male rats were fed 7.5% and 5% protein provided by dried egg white solids supplemented with zinc (0.50, or 100ppm) and/or Vitamin B-6(1, 5 or 100ppm) for four weeks. All animals receiving the non-zinc supplemented diets exhibited poor growth, while 50ppm of zinc supplement resulted in marked improvement in weight gain. Increases in weight gains associated with adquate protein (15%) ocurcred only when the diet contained at least 50ppm of zinc, while increases in growth associated with vitamin B-6 supplements occurred only when the protein was marginal (7.5%). Increases in dietary zinc were associated with decreases in liver zinc deposition. Increases in dietary vitamin B-6 resulted in increased liver copper and zinc levevels, but had no apparent effect on liver iron deposition. The results suggest a zinc-vitamin B-6 interaction which has an influence on the apparent utilization dietary protein and on copper and zinc status in young rats.

The purpose of this study was to develop basic pants sloper for male college students aged from 18 to 24. The Study procedures and results were as follows; 1. 122 male college students were measured, 17 items were analyzed statisically. 2. New basic pants sloper was developed based on the data analysis and fitting tests. 3. The sensory test was applied to evaluate the new basic pants sloper by comparing it with Japanese Bunka method. According to statistical analysis of the result of 16 items on the questionnaire, out of 16 items, 14 items showed significant differences(α≤0.01) between the two, with the new pattern having higher scores. Cronbach coefficient alpha is 0.909. The new drafting method proved to be better fitted and to be comfortable.
