Background: Primary squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the upper genital tract, including the endometrium, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, is extremely rare. It must be distinguished from the mucosal extension of primary cervical SCC because determination of the primary tumor site is important for tumor staging. However, patients with SCC of the fallopian tubes or ovarian surface have often undergone prior hysterectomy with inadequate examination of the cervix, making it difficult to determine the primary site. Methods: We compared histologic findings, p16INK4a expression, and human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA status in four patients with primary SCC of the upper genital tract and five patients with primary cervical SCC extending to the mucosa of the upper genital tract. Results: All five SCCs of cervical origin showed strong expression of p16INK4a, whereas all four SCCs of the upper genital tract were negative, although one showed weak focal staining. Three of the five cervical SCCs were positive for HPV16 DNA, whereas all four primary SCCs of the upper genital tract were negative for HPV DNA. Conclusions: Although a thorough histological examination is important, immunonegativity for p16INK4a and negative for HPV DNA may be useful adjuncts in determining primary SCCs of the upper genital tract.
중요도-성과 분석(IPA)을 활용한 과학기술 지식플랫폼 품질 평가

본 연구는 과학기술 지식플랫폼의 서비스 품질을 체계적으로 평가하고, 이용자 중심의 개선 전략을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 한국과학기술정보연구원이 운영하는 ScienceON 플랫폼을 대상으로 KCSI-ST 모형을 적용하고, 중요도-성과 분석을 통해 품질 요소별 개선 우선순위를 도출하였다. 분석 결과, 정보 탐색의 효율성과 서비스 이용 안내 기능은 중요도에 비해 만족도가 낮아 집중 개선이 필요한 항목으로 확인되었으며, 전반적으로 사회적 품질과 성과 품질에 대한 평가는 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 본 연구는 과학기술 서비스의 품질 향상을 위한 실증적 분석 사례로서, 향후 과학기술 지식플랫폼의 운영 및 정책 수립에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. This study aims to systematically evaluate the service quality of science and technology knowledge platforms and propose user-centered improvement strategies. The Korean Customer Satisfaction Index-Science and Technology model is applied to the ScienceON platform operated by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information, and importance-performance analysis is conducted to identify priority areas for service improvement. The analysis shows that elements such as information-search efficiency and service-usage guidance score high in terms of importance but relatively low in terms of satisfaction, thus indicating the necessity for focused improvement. Meanwhile, social quality and performance quality are rated relatively high in terms of overall satisfaction. As an empirical case of quality assessment for science and technology services, this study is expected to contribute to the operation and policy development of science and technology knowledge platforms.
