        충전제의 종류가 합판용 페놀수지 접착제에 미치는 효과

        Residues such as walnut, pinenut and peanut shells were used as a filler in adhesive for bonding radiata pine plywood. The nutshell residues were prepared by simply drying to 8% moisture content and grinding the dry material using a laboratory Wiley mill with a 75㎛ (200 mesh) screen. The nutshells residues were compared to a commercial filler commonly used in adhesives by the structural plywood and laminated veneer lumber industry in the United States. The adhesive mixes were made by following the recommended procedure of Georgia-Pacific Resins, Inc., using phenol-formaldehyde resin. For each filler type, three-ply plywoods, 6 mm nominal thickness and 30 by 30 ㎝ in size, were fabricated at two press times (4 and 5 min) and around 30 minute assembly time. Evaluations of the nutshell residues were carried out by tension shear tests after cyclic boil tests on plywood. The results of the performance test included tension shear strength and wood failure. All plywoods made with the nutshell fillers were comparable to those made with the control filler. These results indicate that nutshell residues would be suitable as filler for plywood adhesives.

        양간화담탕(凉肝化痰湯)이 고혈압에 마치는 영향

        This experiment was performed to determine the antihypertensive effect of Yangganhwadam-tang(YHT) on hypertension in spontaneously hypertensive rat. The results obtained were as follows : 1. YHT showed scavenging activity on DPPH free radical and SOD-like activity. 2. YHT significantly decreased heart weight. 3. YHT significantly decreased blood pressure and pulse. 4. YHT significantly decreased the level of plasma aldosterone. 5. YHT significantly decreased the level of norepinephrine. 6. YHT significantly decreased the levels of potassium and calcium. 7. YHT significantly decreased the level of BUN. 8. YHT decreased eosinophilic changes in the heart cells, and dilated renal arterioles stenosis. These results suggest that YHT might be effective in treatment and prevention of hypertension.

        창포울금탕(菖蒲鬱金湯)으로 호전된 중풍환자 불면증(不眼症) 치험 2례

        Insomnia is a disorder of initiation and maintenance of sleep that is derived from multiple factors such as psychologic, physiological and environmental problems. A number of stroke patients suffer from insomnia classified as one of the sleep disorders associated with physical illness and on the contrary insomnia may have profound deleterious effects on the natural course of stroke. Sedative-hypnotics including benzodiazepine and non-benzodiazepine have widely been used in chronic insomniacs. However, most hypnotics cause dependence, tolerance, impaired daytime function and rebound insomnia. Therefore, we are looking forward to proposing an effective oriental treatment for insomnia. We report two cases of insomniacs, treated with Changpoulgeumtang. After the treatment, insomnia and other accompanied symptoms were improved.

        봉침독요법(蜂鍼毒療法)의 문헌적 고찰

        봉침독요법에 대한 전반적인 고찰과 논문이나 저서를 비교 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 봉침독요법은 호메오파시 원리에 의한 치료방법으로 인체의 항상성 을 유지시켜 면역력을 향상시키는 자연치유법이다. 2. 봉침독요법은 약 2,000년전 부터 시술된 치료방법으로 진통, 소염 및 해열효과가 우수하고 특히 류마티스성 관절 질환과 통풍에 뚜렷한 효 과가 있다. 3. 최근의 연구에 의하면 봉침독요법이 경련이나 어혈, 암 등에도 유효 한 효능이 있다. 4. 한의학적 경락이론에 따라 봉침독요법을 시술하면 더욱 효과적이다. 5. 현재 다발성경화증이나 뇌척수막염 등 뇌·신경질환에 대한 봉침독 요법의 연구가 진행중이며, 이에 대한 견해는 상당히 희망적이다. 6. 봉독요법의 가장 효과적인 주입법은 피내주사요법이다. 7. 봉독에 대한 과민반응은 급격하고 심하게 나타날 수 있으므로 이에 대한 대비를 한 다음에 시술해야 한다. 8. 주의점과 금기증을 잘 지키고 시술후 세심한 관찰을 요하지만 봉침 독요법은 일반적으로 안전한 치료법이다. 9. 봉침독요법은 뇌졸중, 마비증, 구안와사, 피부병, 순환장애 등 상당 히 다양한 질병에 응용될 수 있으므로 앞으로도 많은 연구가 필요하다.

        증량된 요소수지 접착제와 소나무 간벌재로 제조된 파티클보드의 성질

        증량제로서 카제인과 콩을 첨가한 요소수지 접착제와 소나무 간벌재 파티클로 실험실 파티클보드를 제조하였다. 소나무 간벌재 파티클로 제조된 파티클보드를 성능 평가한 결과 소나무 간벌재는 파티클보드의 원료로서 적합하다. 증량된 요소수지로 접착된 파티클보드는 증량제의 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 기계적인 성능은 감소하는 경향이었다. 그러나 요소수지 접착제의 고형분량에 대해 카제인은 15%까지 콩은 20%까지 첨가하여 파티클보드 제조에 사용할 수 있다. Particleboards (PBs) were made from pinus densiflora thinning particle with urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin added casein and soybean as extender. The performance test results of the PB made showed that Pinus densiflora thinning log was suitable raw material for PB. As the extender addition in the UF resin was increased, the mechanical performance of the PB, bonded with the extended UF resin, were significantly decreased. However, casein and soybean can be used up to 15% and 20% of the UF resin solids resectively.

        수삼(水蔘)·백삼(白蔘)·홍삼(紅蔘)이 세포성면역반응(細布性免疫反應) 및 체액성면역반응(體液性免疫反應)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        In order to investigate the effect of Row ginseng (Ra. G.; from $K{\acute{u}}msan$ province, Korea), White ginseng (W.G.; from $K{\acute{u}}msan$ province, Korea), and Red ginseng (Re. G.; form $K{\acute{u}}msan$ province, Korea) on immune response, the author used ICR mice having a body weight of about 20g as experimental animals dividing them into four groups-Saline, Ra. G, W.G., Re. G group. Delayed type hypersensitivity(DTH) and rosette forming cells(RFC) for cell-mediated immune response, hemagglutinin(HA) titers, hemolysin (HL) titers for humoral immune response were measured at 24 hours after challenge, The results were summarized as follows: 1) DTH was increased in all of the treated group as compared with the Saline group, with statistical significance(W.G.> Re. G. > Ra. G.). 2) RFC was increased in all of the treated group as compared with the Saline group, with statistical significance(W.G. > Re. G. > Ra. G.). 3) HA titer was increased in all of the treated group as compared with the Saline group, with statistical significance (Re. G.> W. G.> Ra. G.). 4) HL titer was increased in all of the treated group as compared with the Saline group, with statistical significance (Re. G. > W. G.> Ra. G.). Through the experimental study in ICR mice, these findings suggest that Raw ginseng, White ginseng and Red ginseng enhance both cell-mediated and humoral immune response with statistical significance.

        파티클보드의 열압으로부터 포름알데히드 배출량 조사

        Laboratory particleboards (PBs) were made with urea-formaldehyde (UF) resins at four press times and two resin application rates. Enclosed caul system was used for collecting the exhaust gases materials generated during the hot-pressing of PB. Exhaust gases materials generated inside the enclosed caul during the hot-pressing of PB were collected in a controlled air stream. Formaldehyde from the exhaust gases collected was determined per a chromotropic method of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Method 3500. The test results showed that formaldehyde emissions during the hot-pressing of PB increased with increasing press time, UF resin mole ratio, and resin application rate.

        합판의 충전제로서 신문용지 잔사의 조사

        A residue from the newsprint waste was investigated as a filler in adhesive for bonding southern pine plywood. The residue was prepared by drying the wet residue to 8% moisture content and grinding the dry material using a laboratory Wiley mill with a 75-㎛(200-mesh) screen. The residue was compared to a commercial filler commonly used in structural plywood adhesives. A total of 48 three-ply panels, 12.7㎜ nominal thickness and 0.3 by 0.3 m in size. were fabricated at two press times(4 and 5 min) and three assembly times(20. 40 and 60 min). Evaluations of the residue were carried out by performance tension shear tests after two 4-hour boil accelerated aging tests on plywood. The test results included tension shear strength and estimated wood failure values. all plywood made with the residue filler were comparable to the control-banded plywood. These results indicate that residue from the newsprint waste streams would be suitable as filler for plywood adhesives.
