$MPP^+$로 유도된 SH-SY5Y신경세포 사멸에 대한 고분자성분제거 봉독약침액의 신경보호 효과 연구

Objectives : The neuroprotective effects of bee venom (BV) have been demonstrated in many studies, but bee venom has many side effects. So we used sweet bee venom (SBV), which has high molecular elements removed to reduce the side effects. I examined the neuroprotective effect of sweet bee venom in 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridine ($MPP^+$)-induced human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells. Methods : To observe the possible toxicity of SBV itself, SH-SY5Y cells were treated with SBV in various concentrations for 3 h and $MPP^+$ in concentrations (1 and 5mM) for 24h. To investigate the protective effect of SBV against $MPP^+$ toxicity, SH-SY5Y cells were pretreated with vehicle or nontoxic concentrations of SBV for 3h and the cells were not washed, followed by incubation with respective concentrations of SBV and 1 mM $MPP^+$ for 24h. To investigate the protective effect of SBV against $MPP^+$ toxicity, SH-SY5Y cells were pretreated with vehicle or nontoxic concentrations of SBV for 3h and the cells were not washed, followed by incubation with respective of SBV(0.5%), 1 mM $MPP^+$, 5uM AKT inhibitor(LY984002) and 10uM ERK inhibitor(PD98059) for 24 h. The protective effect was measured by cell viability assay. To investigate the degree of apoptosis, caspase-3 enzyme activity was measured in control, $MPP^+$, SBV+$MPP^+$. Results : SBV (0.5%) pretreatment protected the SH-SY5Y cells against $MPP^+$-induced apoptotic cell death. The cell viability was higher in the SH-SY5Y cells that were pretreated with vehicle or nontoxic concentrations of SBV than those not pretreated. The caspase-3 activity was lower in the pretreated groups than these not pretreated. ERK and AKT enzymes have a role in the neuroprotective effects of the sweet bee venom. Conclusions : The results demonstrate that SBV has a protective effect on dopaminergic neurons against $MPP^+$ toxicity. This data suggest that SBV could be a potential therapeutic tool for neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease(PD).

Objectives: To report the Pregnancy and delivery in Premature Ovarian Failure after Korean Traditional Medicine Treatment. Methods: The patients who diagnosed as premature ovarian failure was treated with herbal medicine (Daeyeongjeon-gamibang). Results: After the treatment, symptoms of premature ovarian failure such as vaginal dryness, hot flush were improved. The patient got regular menstruation cycle and she was pregnant during the treatment. Conclusions: The case report shows that Korean medical treatment can be an effective for infertile female with premature ovarian failure.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the Pregnancy and delivery in habitual abortion with ectopic pregnancy and loop electrosurgical excision procedure after Korean Traditional Medicine Treatment. Methods: The patient was diagnosed as habitual abortion that had missed abortion three times. She was treated by moxibustion, cupping, acupuncture, Gungguijohyeol- eum-gamibang, and Gwisin-hwan-gamibang for 6 months. The effect of dysmenorrhea was evaluated through the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Results: After the treatment, dysmenorrhrea was improved. She was pregnant during the treatment and delivered a child. Conclusions: The case report shows that Korean medical treatment can be helpful for habitual abortion.

한방치료로 호전된 양측성 자궁내막종 수술 후 나타난 조기난소부전 증례보고

Purpose: To report the effect of Korean medical treatments on 1 patient with secondary amenorrhea after ovarian surgery for bilateral endometriomas diagnosed as premature ovarian failure. Methods: The patient who had secondary amenorrhea was treated with Korean medical treatments such as herbal medication, herbal acupuncture and moxibustion therapy, and so forth. Results: After the Korean medical treatments, the patient could have her periods again. And high FSH level was decreased to normal. Conclusions: The case report shows that Korean medical treatment can be an effective option for treating secondary amenorrhea after ovarian surgery for bilateral endometriomas diagnosed as premature ovarian failure.

한방치료로 호전된 고위험군 인유두종바이러스(HPV) 및 자궁경부 이형성증 5례 증례 보고

Purpose: To report the effect of Tradtional Korean medical treatments on 5 patients with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia with high-risk human papilloma virus(HPV). Methods: The patients who diagnosed as cervical intraepithelial neoplasia with High-Risk human papilloma virus. The patients were treated by Traditional Korean Medicine such as herb medication and fumigation therapy. Results: After 3~6 month treatments, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grades 1-2 lesions regressed. And high-risk HPV infections were not tested in DNA detection. Conclusions: The case report shows that Korean medical treatment can be an effective option for treating lower grade of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia with high-risk human papilloma virus.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Hominis Placenta Pharmacopuncture(HPP) for patients with asthma. Methods We treated three patients who have asthma with HPP. To check the effect of HPP we used CAMSOM-V. To check the satisfaction of HPP we used Five-point Likert scale. Results After treatment symptoms were improved. CAMSOM-V decreased in all cases. The Likert scale points were checked 5 and 4 and 4. Conclusions In this study, we have found the meaning of the research that HPP, in the future will be efficacious against asthma.

병력기간과 말초성 안면신경마비와의 상관성 연구

Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate the influence of the period of disease on Bell’s palsy patients Methods : We investigated 40 cases of patients with peripheral facial palsy who visited Yumin Oriental Hospital from 1st January to 31st August, 2008 with both oriental and western medical therapy and classified them as period of disease. The period of disease of Group A was within 3 days. The period of disease of Group B was from 4 to 10days. We evaluated the treatment effect of each group by House-Brackmann grade before treatment and 1, 2 week treatment. Results : 1. There was a statistical significant difference in period of disease between Group A and Group B. 2. After 1 week treatment, Group A showed more recovery compared with Group B. 3. After 2 week treatment, there was no statistical significant difference in House-Brackmann grade between Group A and Group B Conclusions : These results suggest that early treatment could be more effective in recovery of Bell’s palsy

This study was to report the effect of oriental medical treatment and dietetic therapy on metabolic syndrome. Method We treated three cases of metabolic syndrome patients with herbal medicine, electro acupuncture, cupping a boil, dietetic therapy, aerobic exercise were done during the treatment period. Result After treatment the diagnostic index(waist circumference, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, blood pressure, fasting glucose) was improved. Conclusion The patient with Metabolic syndrome was improved using oriental medical treatment and dietetic therapy.
