      • Comparison of Wound Healing Between Conventional Tie-over Dressing and Silicone Sheeting after Skin Grafting

        Purpose: We compared wound healing between the conventional tie-over dressing and silicone sheeting after skin grafting in patients with skin defects. Materials and Methods: Of a total of 30 cases of skin defects, 15 underwent conventional tie-over dressing and the remaining 15 underwent silicone sheeting skin grafting, we compared hematoma formation and infection status between the 2 techniques 1 and 2 weeks after operation Results: Hematoma was not observed in all cases. The wound infection rate decreased in silicone group. Conclusions: Silicone sheeting skin graft may be helpful in reducing wound infection.

        새로운 광독성 검사법의 개발을 위한 연구

        The present study was carried out to find a simple and safe in. vitro test for phtotoxic drugs. Authors selected two strains of Salmonella typhimurium(TA98 and TA102) which have been used in Ames test for the detsction of mutagenecity af various chemical substances. Both strains are genuine products of genetic enzineering. The etrain TA98 should be highly vulnerable to ultraviolet radition because it lacks normal I)NA excision repair gene. The strain TA102 was chosen as control since it maintained the DNA repair gene. These strains were subjected to increasing dosea of UVA with or without pretreatment of 8 methoxypsoralsn(8-MOP) which is a prototype of photatoxic druge. The authors made use of a perforated stain-less steel template which provided a simple and eosy monitoring of ultraviolet irradiation effects i.e. clear zones due to inhibition of the atrains could be determined. By using this methad, the authors acquired the following results .' I. 8-MOP alone exerted no inhibition on both strains at concentration upto 100mg /ml. 2. UVA irradiation alone showed no growth inhibition at dose upto 5J/cm. 3. UVA irradiation after pretreatment with 8 MOP resulted varying growth inhibition in proportion to irradiation doses. 4. Authors found a suitable concentration of 8-MOP for this test is 10pg/ml. With this ccncentrstion, minimal phatatoxic dose of UVA were O.l J/cm for the strain TA98 and 1.0J/cm for the strain TA102 respectively.

        The study focuses on “Neutrality of Typical Plan” which is proposed to accommodate the congested reality created by the density of capital and population in Manhattan by Rem Koolhaas. In Europe, not just in Manhattan, there was universal space that could accommodate the rapidly changing demand of user. The universal space, however, pursues traditional values, while the Typical Plan does not pursue any value. This study will clarify neutrality of Typical Plan by comparing these two concepts based on the four values; structure, space, proportion, expression of material.

        구상나무와 분비나무 분포지의 환경 특성 및 기후변화 민감성 평가

        본 연구는 대표적인 아고산식물인 동일속 식물 구상나무와 분비나무의 기후변화 민감성 평가에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 종 분포 모형을 이용하여 현재 및 미래의 종 분포 확률을 예측하였고 기후변화 민감성 평가를 하였다. MTSS를 기준으로 예측된 잠재 분포지는 분비나무가 구상나무보다 감소율이 많았으며, 스칼라 민감도를 이용한 평가에서는 구상나무의 민감도가 분비나무보다 높았다. 본 연구와 같은 종 분포 모형을 이용한 연구에서는 위치자료 및 환경변수에 따라 종 분포 확률이 달라질 수 있으므로 연구 대상종의 생태 환경에 대한 면밀한 조사가 선결되어야 하며, 본 연구를 기초로 하여 국내에 적용 가능한 기후변화민감성 평가 방법이 개발된다면 기후변화와 생물 다양성 적응 정책의 중요한 의사결정 수단이 될 것으로 기대한다. The object of this study was the climate change sensitivity assessment of Korean Fir and Khinghan Fir as a representative subalpine plant in South Korea. Using species distribution models, we predicted the probability of current and future species distribution. According to this study, potential distribution that have been predicted based on the threshold (MTSS) is, Khinghan Fir was higher loss rate than Korean Fir. And in the climate change sensitivity assessment using the scalar sensitivity weight (Wis), Wis of Korean Fir was higher relatively than the sensitivity of Khinghan Fir. When using the species distribution models as shown in this study may vary depending on the probability of presence data and spatial variables. Therefore should be prior decision studies on the ecological environment of the study species. Based on this study, if it is domestic applicable climate change sensitivity assessment method is developed. it would be important decision-making to climate change and biological diversity of adaptation policy.

        HaCaT Cell에서 황기 에탄올 추출물의 Aquaporin-3 발현 효과

        Astragalus membranaceus Bunge is used in herbal medicine in Eastern Asian countries including Korea. In this study, we assessed the effects of A. membranaceus extract (AM) on the aquaporin-3 (AQP3) protein expression in HaCaT cells. AM did not affect viability of HaCaT cells. AQP3 expression and cell migration seem to be maximal at 100 μg/mL concentration. Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) kinase inhibitor, PD153035, blocked AM-induced AQP3 expression and cell migration. In addition, an 80% ethanol extracts of herbal prescription, SinhyoTakleesan (ST), which is composed of A. membranaceus, Angelicae gigantis, Glycyrrhiza glabra Linne, and Lonicera japonica Flos also induced AQP3 expression at 20 μg/mL in HaCaT cells. Collectively, these results suggest that AM induce AQP3 expression via EGFR pathway.

      • 공기청정기의 실내공기 질 및 아토피피부염에 대한 영향

        Purpose: High level of indoor air pollutant may cause aggravation of atopic diseases long with various allergic respiratory diseases especially in people who spend mostly of their lives indoors. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of air purifier on the reduction of relevant hazards in indoors and the improvement of atopic dermatitis (AD). Methods: A total of 24 families, consisted of 18 AD families and 6 normal control families, were enrolled in this study. We examined air quality and AD severity before the installation of air purifiers and after twenty-four weeeks. The assessment of air quality included fine particles (particulate matter, PM2.5 and PM10), gaseous contaminants (CO, CO2, volatile organic compounds [VOCs], formaldehyde, NO2) and density of offloating microorganisms. Severity of AD was assessed by SCORing atopic dermatitis (SCORAD) index and transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Results: At the end of study, particular air pollutants and VOCs of gaseous air pollutants decreased in both groups (P<0.01). In AD group, SCORAD index decreased from 23.45±4.34 to 15.42±6.53 (.18.5%) and TEWL decreased from 33.78±5.16 to 26.89±5.66 (.18.7%) (P<0.01 and P<0.01, respectively). However, the value of total immunoglobulin E and eosinophil did not show significant changes in both groups compared with baseline. Conclusion: These results suggested that air purifier may improve severity of AD by reducing air pollutants like fine particles and VOCs. Our preliminary study could provide a basis for using air purifier to prevent aggravation of AD. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 2013;1:248-256)

        수정 티볼 오버핸드 4단계 던지기 연습을 통한 초등학교 여학생 던지기 기술 개선 방안 연구

        본 연구 목적은 수정 티볼 오버핸드 4단계 던지기 연습을 통해 올바른 던지기 퍼포먼스와 기술 개선 방안을 모색하고, 여학생 지도 시 교사의 실기 지도 능력과 전문성 신장을 향상시키기 위한 기초 표준 던지기 자료를 제공하자 한다. 연구 대상자는 초등학교 4학년 여학생 10명으로 수정이 요구되는 오른발 착지에 오른손 오버핸드 던지는 여학생(5명)과 양발을 붙이고 던지는 여학생(5명)으로 총 10명을 대상으로 했다. 대상자 모두는 연구과정은 3단계 세션 과정(사전-연습-사후)연구에 참여시켰다. 수정 티볼 오버핸드 4단계 던지기 과정은 티볼 협회 지침서, 야구투수 지침서, 던지기 문헌조사 등을 통해서 수정했고 그 과정의 객관성을 높이기 위해 티볼 지도자, 체육학 박사 연구원, 체육대학 교수 등의 자문을 구했다. 연구기간은 2018년 6월부터 11월 까지로 사전 수업영상 분석과 체육 수업 시간 중 던지기 문제점에 대한 자료를 수집 분석하여 학생을 파악했다. 던지기 모션은 다트 피시(dart fish) 프로그램을 이용하여 카메라에 저장시켰고, 이차원으로 분석했다. 연구결과는 수정 티볼 오버 핸드 4단계 던지기 연습을 통해서 던지기 몸통 자세, 좌우 교차 밸런스, 던지기 스윙각 등이 크게 향상되었다. 연구를 통한 시사점은 여학생들의 던지기 퍼포먼스와 던지기 동작의 향상으로 배드민턴, 테니스 서브 등 다양한 스포츠 종목의 연계성을 기대할 수 있었다. 차후 여학생들의 던지기 수업 개선을 위한 방안으로 교육과정에 기초 표준 던지기 과정을 세션별로 재구성해야 하며, 현장 학교 지도자나 교사가 기초 표준 던지기 과정을 분명하게 인식해야 할 필요가 있다. The purpose of this study is to find the correct throwing performance and technology improvement measures for elementary school girls who throw overhand with one’s foot on or right hand using on right foot landing where correction is required through the revised tee ball overhand 4 step throw exercise, and provide basic standards toss data to improve teacher skills and professional growth when teaching girls. Ten fourth-grade girls, who were required to be revised for the study, participated in a three-step session(pre-training-post). The motion was saved by a camera using a dart fish program and analyzed as a second dimension. Improved throwing body posture, left-to-right cross balance, and throwing swing angles were achieved through the modified tee ball over hand throw exercise. Through the results of the study, it was very useful not only for girls throwing performances but also for improving their throwing behavior. Therefore, it is necessary to reconstruct the basic standards throwing process into the curriculum in a session as a way to improve the girls throwing classes, and to make it clear that field school leaders or teachers are aware of the process of throwing basic standards.

      • Load analysis of an offshore monopile wind turbine using fully-coupled simulation

        Offshore wind energy is gaining more attention. Ensuring proper design of offshore wind turbines and wind farms require knowledge of the external conditions in which the turbines and associated facilities are to operate. In this work, a three-bladed 5MW upwind wind turbine, which is supported by the monopile foundation, is studied by use of fully coupled aero-hydro-servo-elastic commercial simulation tool, 'GH-Bladed'^{(R)}. Specification of the structures are chosen from the OC3 (Offshore Code Comparison Collaboration) under IEA Wind Annex XXIII-subtask2. The primary external conditions due to wind and waves are simulated. Design Load case 5.2 is investigated in this work. The steady state power curve and power production loads are evaluated. Comparison between different codes is made.
