Purpose: The aim of this study was to present specific criteria for setting goals for hand rehabilitation by comparing the degree of difference in grip force, coordination, and dexterity between the dominant and non-dominant hand according to gender. Methods: We recruited 100 healthy adults in their 20s and 30s. A handheld digital dynamometer was used to evaluate the grip force of each of the dominant and non-dominant hand, a chopsticks manipulation test was used to evaluate coordination, and the Purdue Pegboard test was used to evaluate agility. Results: In all subjects, the grip force, coordination, and dexterity showed statistically significant difference (p <0.01) between the dominant and non-dominant hand. In the comparison according to gender, both male and female dominant and non-dominant hands showed statistically significant differences in grip force, coordination, and dexterity (p <0.01). In the comparison according to grip force, there was a statistically significant difference between the dominant and non-dominant hand, and men showed stronger result values in both hands compared to women (p <0.01). In the comparison according to coordination, there was no statistically significant difference between the dominant and non-dominant hand in men and women (p >0.05). In the comparison according to dexterity, there was a statistically significant difference between the dominant and non-dominant hand, and women were shown to be faster in performance time with both hands, compared to men (p <0.01). Conclusion: Differences according to gender exist in grip force and dexterity but not coordination, and differences between dominant and non-dominant hand exists across all measurements. The results suggest setting a recovery goal according to dominance and gender during rehabilitation of hand function.

Marlow tells us at the beginning of his narrative that there are those voyages that seem ordered for the illustration of life, that might stand for a symbol of existence. Thus he develops the implications of a single event, the baffled voyage of the Judia to the Bangkok shaping it into an intensely metaphorical statement. The freshness and appeal of this statement is due to Conrad’s bold experiments with impressionistic techniques. The use of Marlow as narrator opposes the spontaneous egoism of twenty to the wary wisdom of forty-two in a way that relativizes romantic illusions. The dual perspective also allows Conrad to distance himself from the text, to explore moral issues with flexibility, and involve his readers through a surrogate audience, those four listeners grouped around the mahogany table. Marlow gives the simple tale of catastrophe at sea thoughtfulness it finally posses. His important object is to change certain conventional notions held by his four respectable listeners. He emphasize the glamour and beauty of youth over the old men’s tendency on their younger selves with patronizing indulgence. He thinks youth should not be patronized but respected, for it offers an important and unique opportunity. To his mind, it is only time when one can be boldly and wholesomely egotistical and still mange to get away with it. Because life has not yet become tentative and morally compromising, simple heroism is always possible. And because of this singularity, youth, the years of power and illusion is the best time of one's life. <Jeonju University>
호흡을 동반한 푸쉬업 플러스 운동이 어깨 주위 근육의 활성도에 미치는 영향

Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the push_up plus(PUP) exercise with respiration on the activity of the muscles around the shoulders. Methods Twenty subjects were performed three types of respiration that forced inspiration(FI), forced expiration(FE), general respiration(GR) in the each posture of wall PUP and knee PUP. Prior to the initiation of the study, subjects were clearly informed of the posture of PUP exercise and three types of respiration. The six types of exercise were randomly selected by numbering card. Each type of exercise was performed three times, and after the exercise, the subjects had a rest of 5minutes. Surface EMG of serratus anterior(SA), upper trapezius(UT), middle trapezius(MT), deltoid(DT) muscles were recorded. Results There was no statistically significant difference in each types of exercise, but in the wall PUP exercise, SA and UT muscle showed highest activity at the FE, and the FI higher than GR. MT showed highest muscle activity at the FI, and the DT showed the highest muscle activity in GR. In the knee PUP exercise, SA, UT, MT and DT showed highest muscle activity in FE. In addition, there was no interaction between the posture of the PUP exercise and the respiration types. Conclusion This study showed there was no statistically significant difference in the activity of the muscles around the shoulders when PUP exercise with respiration. However, higher muscle activity was shown when FE in the measured muscles. Therefore, it is suggested to control respiration for more efficient exercise.
연구개발기획단계에서 시스템 요구사항 변경에 따른 전산모델 기반 비용추정 방안 연구 : UAVs 중심으로

최근 들어 모빌리티 시스템의 기능과 역할은 점점 다양하고 복잡해지고 있다. 이처럼 시스템의 기술난이도와 복잡도가 증가할수록 시스템의 개발 실패 위험성은 증가한다. 따라서 시스템 전 수명주기 비용의 70~80%가 결정되는 시스템 연구개발 초기 단계에서 개념을 설정하고 설계 과정 중에 빈번한 시스템의 요구사항 변경은 향후 사업 일정 지연과 비용 상승을 유발한다. 사업 초기에는 개발목표 대상 시스템의 요구사항에 따른 신속한 비용추정으로 요구사항의 적절성과 변동성을 검토하는 과정이 필수로 수행되어야 한다. 하지만 개발 목표 대상 시스템의 사전 정보 수집과 유사 사례 데이터 확보 미흡 등의 이유로 어려움이 존재한다. 본 연구는 사례 기반 비용 추정기법 전산 모델인 SEER Cost IQ를 활용하여 시스템 연구개발 기획단계에서 시스템의 요구사항만으로 유사 시스템의 물리적 아키텍처와 비용 데이터를 수집하고 효율적으로 비용을 추정하는 수행 과정을 소개한다. 이를 통해 연구개발 절차 간에 발생 가능한 불필요한 비용 상승 등과 같은 잠재적인 실패 위험이 최소화되기를 기대한다.
ω-3 고도불포화지방산이 흰쥐의 혈청 지질과 cytokines 에 미치는 영향

N/A This study was designed to examine the effect of ω-3 fatty acid, linlenic acid. EPA, DHA on serum lipid and cytokines of male rats(Sprague-Dawley). Animals of 3 groups were administrated perilla oil, salmoon oil, and tuna oil of 0.4 ㎖/day for 8 weeks respectively. These oils were used for a source of linolenic acid, EPA and DHA. ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid decrease significantly body weight, serum PGE_2 content and serum cytokines content of the rat, and increases internal organs weight, specially liver weight and serum HDL-cholesterol level of the rat. In the results, authors propose to use perilla oil for source of effective ω-3 poly-unsaturated fatty acid(linolenic acid) to Prevent cardiovascular and immune diseases.
