GSK3β의 선택적 저해제인 Kenpaullone의 B16 멜라노마 및 인간 멜라노사이트에서의 영향

Glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3β)의 선택적 저해제인 Kenpaullone가 B16 멜라노마 및 사람의 멜라노사이트에 미치는 멜라닌 합성능을 조사하였다. Kepaullone은 B16 멜라노마 및 사람의 멜라노사이트에 대하여 세포증식에는 영향이 없는 범위 내에서 농도 의존적으로 멜라닌 합성을 촉진시켰다. B16 멜라노마 세포에 Kenpaullone을 첨가 48 h 후 tyrosinase 활성이 증가하였으며, 농도별 처리에 대하여 tyrosinase 단백질의 발현 및 tyrosinase mRNA양이 증가함을 관찰하였다. 결론적으로 Kenpaullone는 B16 멜라노마 세포에서 tyrosinase 효소의 발현을 증가시켜 멜라닌 합성을 촉진하는 것으로 판단되어진다. 따라서 GSK3β 저해제가 멜라닌 합성을 촉진시키는 결과는 백반증과 같은 저색소관련 질병의 치료제 개발의 가능성을 갖고 있는 소재로서 응용가능하리라고 판단되어진다. Effects of Kenpaullone, a specific inhibitor of GSK3β, on melanin synthesis in B16 melanoma cells and human melanocytes were investigated. Kenpaullone showed a melanogenesis stimulation activity in a concentration-dependent manner in murine B16 melanoma cells and human melanocytes without any significant effects on cell proliferation. Tyrosinase activity was increased 48 h after treatment of B16 cells with Kenpaullone. The protein expression level of tyrosinase was dose-dependently enhanced after the treatment with Kenpaullone. At the same time, the expression level of tyrosinase mRNA was also increased after addition of Kenpaullone. The stimulatory effect of Kenpaullone mainly resulted from increased expression of tyrosinase. These findings suggest that the application of GSK3β inhibitors may be a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of hypopigmentation disorder.

Recently, utility network is getting more and more complicated and huge. In addition to, demands of power conversion devices which have non-linear switching devices are getting more and more increased. Consequently, according to the non-linear power semiconductor devices, current harmonics are unavoidable. Those current harmonics flow back to utility network and become one of the reasons which make the voltage distortion. On the other hands, voltage sag from sudden increasing loads is also one of the terrible problems inside of utility network. In order to compensate the current harmonics and voltage sag problem, AF(Active Filter) systems could be a good solution method and SMES(Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage) system is a very good promising source due to the high response time of charge and discharge. Therefore, the combined system of AF and SMES is a wonderful device to compensate both harmonics current and voltage sag. However, unfortunately SMES needs a superconducting magnetic coil. Because of the introduction of superconducting magnetic coil, quench problem caused by unexpected reasons is always existed. In case of discharge operation, quench is a significantly harmful factor according as it decreases the energy capacity of SMES. Therefore, this paper presents a decision method of the specification of the AF-SMES system considering internal fault condition. Especially, authors analyzed the change of the original energy capacity of SMES regarding to the size of resistance caused by quench of superconducting magnetic coil. Finally, based on this simulation, authors manufactured actual Active Filter System using DSP.

In this paper, we study the insulating properties of the liquid nitrogen(LN2) including the thermal bubbles. The shape of the thermal bubbles in accordance with the current change was observed in the 77 K and 65 K LN2. According to the temperature of liquid nitrogen, bubbles were generated differently. The round shape of the bubble is occurred in 77 K LN2. But the layer shape of bubble is occurred in 65 K LN2. When the bubbles present, the dielectric strength of liquid nitrogen is low. However, the breakdown patterns were different according to the electrode arrangement. AC breakdown voltage(BDV) was lower than the DC BDV due to the influence of bubbles. Therefore, the design of a high-voltage superconducting equipments should consider the bubbles.

Demand and necessity for eco-friendly offshore wind farms have been increasing. Research on submarine cables is constantly being considered for a reliable and stable power transmission. This study aimed to evaluate the thermal aging characteristic of submarine cables inside the J-tube of offshore wind farms. In this study, a submarine cable was set in three sections: The first is the part exposed to the air above the sea level at high temperature. The second is the section exposed to repeated temperature fluctuation as the sea level rises and falls. The third is the part submerged at low temperature below the sea level. Aged samples were tested by using the method of electrical evaluation to obtain insulation characteristics. The experimental results show that the dielectric breakdown of the sample with temperature fluctuation was 7% lower than the sample with a constant temperature; thereby, demonstrating that the section where the temperature fluctuation occurred in the submarine cables was weaker than the other. The sections of submarine cable with temperature fluctuations are believed as a weak point during operation; therefore, this part should be monitored preferentially.

In this study, we performed the long-term expansion planning for the conceptual design of HTS power cable in Seoul area. In Korea, underground power cable has been required gradually with increasing demand of electric power transmission density and low loss characteristics in the comparison with a conventional power cables, so we assumed that the HTS power cable is applied between the downtown area and the outskirts of the city for the large power transmission capacity. This paper is to show the effects of HTS power cables in Seoul based on the power system analysis.
