        주파수 재 사용 기술을 이용한 M-ary 직교 16-State 및 32-State 다차원 PSK 트렐리스코딩

        The 16- and 32-state Trellis-coded M-ary 4-dimensional (4-D) orthogonal modulation scheme with a frequency-reuse technique have been investigated. Here, 5 coded bits form a rate 4/5 convolutional encoder provide 32 possible symbols. Then the signals are mapped by a M-ary 4-D orthogonal modulator, where each signal has equal energy and is PSK modulated. In the M-ary 4-D modulator, we have employed the vectors which is derived by the optimization technique of signal waveforms in a 4-D sphere. This technique is usedin maximizing the minimum Euclidean distance between a set of signal poits on a multidimensional sphere. By combinig trellis coding with M-ary 4-D modulation and proper set-partitioning, we have obtained a considerable impeovement in the free minimum distance of the system over an AWGN channel. The 16-state scheme obtains coding gains up to 5.5 dB over the uncoded two-independent QPSK scheme and 2.5 dB over the two-independent 2-D TCM scheme. And, the 32-state scheme obtains coding gains up to 6.4 dB over the uncoded two-independent QPSK schemeand 3.4 dB over the two-independent 2-D TCM scheme.

      • 정세관의 길이와 Leydig세포 부피에 관한 구적법적 연구 : 연령증가가 미치는 영향

        For the study of the length of seminiferous tubules and the volume of Leydig cells, forty-three Sprague-Dawley rats were sacrificed. Fifteen-week old rats were used as the control and eighty-week old rats as the experimental groups. The volume of each testis was measured by the Archimedes principle, and the experimental group was divided further into the three subgroups: bilaterally non-atrophied, unilaterally atrophied and bilaterally atrophied groups. Each of the testes was fixed in Bouin's solution for 18 hours, and the 5㎛-thick sections were stained with Masson's trichrome stain. For the determination of the tubule length, a light microscope with an eyepiece disc containing 100 graticules per unit area and an eyepiece micrometer disc was used for counting the numbers of tubule cross sections, for measuring the tubule diameter and for calculating the proportion of tubule under 100 times magnification. For the estimation of tubule length, VtN method (Lennox et al., 1970) and volume/area method (Bascom and Osterud, 1925) were applied, and for the determination of Leydig cell population, a light microscope with an eyepiece disc containing 441 points per unit area was used for counting the Leydig cell proportion under 400 times magnification. Point counting method (Chalkley's method modified by Lennox and Logue, 1979) was applied for calculation. The findings were summarized as follows: 1. In comparison with the control group, the atrophied testes showed degenerative changes of the seminiferous tubules and increased interstitial space. 2. The volume of atrophied testes of eighty-week old rats significantly decreased in comparison with the control. 3. The total length of seminiferous tubule of the bilaterally atrophied testes of eighty-week old rats significantly decreased in comparison with the control. 4. The proportions of Leydig cells in the testes of eighty-week old rats significantly increased but the total volume of Leydig cells were not significantly changed. These results showed that the atrophied testes by aging had shortened seminiferous tubules, but there were not any changes in the volume of Leydig cells.

        Indomethacin이 백서의 4-nitroquinoline 1-oxide(4NQO) 유도 구개암 발암과정에서 미세구조에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        This study was undertaken to investigate the effects of indomethacin on 4-nitroquinoline I-oxide (4NQO) induced palatal carcinoma of albino rats. Sixty albino rats about 100 gms of body weight, 6 weeks old-were used classifying as 1) six albino rats of normal group received no treatment, 2) six albino rats of control group treated with propane 1, 2-diol 3 times a week, 3) twenty four albino rats of experimental group I treated with 0.5% 4NQO in propane 1, 2-diol 3 times a week, 4) twenty four albino rats of experimental group II treated with 0.5% of 4NQO in propane 1, 2-diol 3 times a week and administrated 20 ㎍/ml indomethacin in drinking water ad lib. The animals of normal and control groups were sacrificed 7th, 11th, 15th, 19th, 23rd and 27th week, while those of experimental group I and II were sacrificed 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th week after the experiment. The palatal mucosa was excised and examined grossly, light-microscopically and electron-microscopically. Following results were obtained. 1. In control group, there was no specific difference from normal tissue histopathologically. 2. In group I, hyperkeratosis mild acantosis and dyskertosisin in 7th week, dysplasia in 11th week and serve acantosis in 19th week were observed, but squamous cell carcinoma not observed until 29th week on light-microscope. 3. In group II, hyperkeratosis, mild acantosis in 9th week, dyskertosis and dyskeratosis and dysplasia in 21st week, severe acantosis in 27th week and squamous cell carcinoma in 29th week were observed on light-microscope. 4. In group I, widening of intercellular space in 7th week, increasing of desmosome, giant desmosome and tonofilament in cyhtoplasm in 9th week, severe widening of intercellular space, increasing of mitochondria and vascular degeneration in 11th week, irregular pattern of cell feature and nucleus and prominent nucleoli in 19th week, and continuity of basal lamina in 29th week were observed on electron-microscope. 5. In group II, mild widening of intercellular space in 9th week, increasing of mitochondreia, vascular degeneration and tonofilament in cytoplasm in 13th week, increasing of desmosome and giant desmosome in 15th week, irregular pattern of cell surface and nucleus and prominent nucleoli, and in 21st week continuity of basal lamina were observed on electron-microscope which phenomenon occurred little later than group I. After 21st week, however, severe widening of intercellular space, vascular degeneration and continuity of basal lamina were observed as in group I.

        Fixed bias를 가지는 4-D Multiple-Subcarrier 신호를 이용한 Optical Wireless 통신의 평균 전력 절감에 관한 연구

        We have proposed the 4-Dimensional Multiple-Subcarrier Modulation with fixed bias in Optical Wireless Communications. Here, the 4-D signal vectors are derived from the optimization technique of signal waveforms maximizing the minimum distance between signal points in an n-dimensional Euclidean sphere. The resulting vectors are used in generating the output amplitude of impulse generator in a Multiple-Subcarrier Modulation scheme. We have achieved that the normalized power requirement of the proposed system is maximum 3 dB and 3.3 dB smaller than those of normal QPSK, Reserved Subcarrier, and Minimum Power scheme, respectively. Also, in the range of 1.125~1.25 of the normalized bandwidth, the proposed system has maximum3 dB, 2~4 dB, 0 ~3 dB smaller bandwidth requirement compare to normal QPSK, Res. Subcarrier, Min. Power schemes, respectively. 기존의 Multiple-Subcarrier변조 방식에 4-차원(4-D)신호를 이용한 Optical Wireless통신 방식을 제안하였다. 4-D 신호는 신호파형 최적화 기술 (OSW, Optimization Technique of Signal Waveforms)을 이용하여 유도하고 Multiple-Subcarrier의 block coder에 적용함으로써 출력 신호점 간의 Euclidean distance를 최대화 하였다. 그 결과 고정 dc 바이어스를 부가한 상태에서 시스템에서 요구되는 Normalized power를 QPSK에 비해3 dB, Reserved Subcarrier 나 Minimum Power에 비해 최대 3.3 dB 를 각각 절감하였고 normalized bandwidth 1.125~1.25의 범위에서 QPSK에 비해 평균 3 dB, Res. Subcarrier 방식에 비해 2~4 dB, Min. Power 방식에 비해 0~3 dB를 각각 절감하였다.

        당뇨백서 악하선에서의 Na⁺, K⁺ activated adenosine triphosphatase에 관한 실험적 연구

        Effect of insulin deficiency and insulin replacement therapy on body weight, the weight of submaxillary gland and Na⁺, K⁺ adenosine triphosphatase (Na⁺, K⁺ ATPase) in submaxillary gland of albino rats were observed. Experimental study of the Na⁺, K⁺ ATPase of submaxillary gland was done by a deoxycholate-treated procedure and the results were obtained as follow ; 1. Alloxan treated group revealed marked decrease of the body weight and weight of submaxillary gland than control group. These changes were recovered by insulin replacement therapy. 2. Blood glucose level of control group was 93.5 ± 2.74㎎%, alloxan group was 230.3 ± 16.05 ㎎%, and insulin treated group was 110.6 ± 3.7 ㎎% respectively. 3. Result of double treatment of sodium deoxycholate on the tissue of submaxillary gland was presented higher (9.3%) specific activity of Na⁺ K⁺ ATPase than single treatment of sodium deoxycholate, but specific activity of Mg⁺⁺ ATPase was not influenced by the times of treatment of sodium deoxycholate. 4. The specific activity of Na⁺, K⁺ ATPase of alloxanized rats was lowered about 20% than control group. These change were recovered by insulin replacement therapy. These results suggested that the lower specific activity of Na⁺, K⁺ ATPase and loss of weight of submaxillary gland had close effects on salivary secretion.
