An agricultural infrastructure is a representative social overhead capital to promote sustainable economic growth. To maximize economic improvement through infrastructure, agricultural infrastructure should be designed effectively because its shape or form can directly influence crop productivity. However, in the agricultural field, 2D drawings and specifications, which require training to interpret, are still widely employed to build agricultural infrastructure. Hence, building information modeling (BIM), which requires that 3D models of all infrastructure types or buildings be created, has been introduced. However, this 3D model is not sufficient to create the sense of presence when the agricultural infrastructure design reviewer walks through the 3D model presented on a monitor. The building information model computer-aided virtual environment (BIM CAVE) application, originally developed by Dr. Julian Kang, Texas A&M University, is employed in this study to increase a sense of presence. The existing application was updated in 2015 by an author after the existing source code associated with the vector product was revised to synchronize nine computers which surround the user in 2015. In addition, the application was updated again to be compatible with Autodesk Navisworks 2022 or later versions instead of Autodesk Navisworks 2012. Lastly, through interviews, the feasibility of the multimonitor system based on the updated application is investigated to determine its appropriateness as an agricultural infrastructure review system.

Purpose: To study the prevalence of B type Raf kinase (BRAF) mutations, and to evaluate the ultrasonographic and clinicopathological features associated with thy-roid cytology of indeterminate nodules. Materials and Methods: We assessed the presence or absence of BRAF mutation in 44 specimens from patients with cytologically indeterminate thyroid nodules ac-cording to two consecutive preoperative fine needle aspiration cytology procedures. In 9 specimens, the test for BRAF mutation was not possible due to scant cellularity. DNA was extracted from the atypical cells and then analyzed for the BRAF V600E mutation by pyrosequencing. The ultrasonographic and clinicopathological features of the patients were characterized according to their mutation status. Results: The BRAF V600E mutation was present in 17 (48.6%) of 35 patients with indeterminate cytology results and in 17 (54.8%) of the 31 patients with papillary thyroid cancer (PTC). Twenty two of 35 cytologically indeterminate nodules had cal-cifications, and among them 14 cases were proven to be positive for BRAF V600E mutations. Extrathyroid extension was significantly more frequent in the presence of the BRAF V600E mutation (p = 0.027), while tumor size, lympho-vascular inva¬sion, or lymph node metastasis were not associated with the mutation. Conclusion: Screening for BRAF V600E mutations in conjunction with cytology may increase the diagnostic accuracy for PTC with indeterminate cytology results.
ESG 경영전략 기반 생물다양성 활동 충실성 분석: 포스코 그룹 사례

목적 : 본 연구에서는 기업의 현재 상태 및 생물다양성과 관련된 이슈를 분석하고 결과를 토대로 향후 고려사항에대한 통찰을 제공하기 위해 지속가능경영보고서에 기록된 기업의 활동을 평가하였다. 방법 : 생물다양성 활동 분야에서 국내 철강기업 중 국내외에서 좋은 평가를 받는 포스코 그룹을 대상으로, 기업이어떤 분야와 활동에 중점을 두고 경영하고 있는지 이해하기 위해 이중 중대성 평가 결과를 분석했고, 이후 기업이중요시하는 활동들이 실제 환경에 긍정적인 역할을 주고, 회사가 어떤 부분을 개선해야 할지 분석했다. 결과 및 토의 : 이중 중대성 평가를 바탕으로 본 기업이 E, S, G 중 환경(E) 영역에 대한 중요도를 높였으며, 세 가지 활동에 중점을 두고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 첫째로, 철강 슬래그를 활용한 인공 암초 설치 활동이 있다. 그러나 설치 자체보다는 설치 후의 관찰이 더 중요하고, 더 구체적인 정보가 필요했다. 둘째로, 포스코 인터내셔널의 인도네시아 팜 농장에서의 활동은 인도네시아 정부가 REDD에 적극 참여하고 있으며, 열대 우림 지역은 '생물다양성 핫스팟' 지역으로 간주하므로, 부정적 영향을 완화하는 데 최대한의 노력이 필요해 보인다. 마지막으로 아르헨티나에 있는 리튬 시설 주변의 멸종위기종 조사 실시를 보고했는데, 추가로 여러 해에 걸친 조사와 연계된 생물종 보존 활동의 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다. 결론 : 포스코 그룹의 환경 영역에서의 노력 증진에도 불구, 일부 활동은 실제로 영향에서 모호하거나 제한된 효과를 보일 수 있으므로 환경 관리 전략의 수정이 필요해 보인다. 세 가지 주요한 활동들을 살펴본 결과 문제 예방보다는 원인 제거에 중점을 둔 활동이 필요하며, 활동의 확장이나 추가 정보공개에도 노력이 필요할 것으로 보인다. Objectives : In this study, we analyzed the corporation’s current status and issues related to biodiversity andprovided insights based on the results for future consideration. Methods : We investigated the double materiality analysis, then analyzed whether the activities are valuableenough for the corporation to focus on and whether they have an actual positive impact on the environment. Results and Discussion : The corporation placed high importance on the environmental (E) domain among ESGfactors and focuses on three activities, which is installing artificial reef, NDPE declaration in palm farm, and endangeredspecies survey. However, post-installation observation is more important than installation of arficial reef, and in palmfarms, as the government actively participates in REDD, and farm areas are considered as “biodiversity hotspots”,maximum efforts seem necessary to reduce negative impacts. The reporting of endangered species surveys aroundthe lithium facility in Argentina, surveys over several years are needed. Conclusion : Despite POSCO Group's efforts to enhance its environmental performances, some activities showambiguous or limited impact. The focus should shift from problem prevention to root cause elimination, and effortsshould be made to expand activities and improve transparency
