      • FLUENT를 이용한 스월-버너의 수치적 해석

        There is an increasing need for the ability to predict the turbulent flow, chemical reaction and heat transfer phenomena in furnaces and combustors and their performance as a function of the input and boundary conditions. Although a significant progress has been achieved in predictive modelling techniques, the shortcomings in certain modelling aspects highlight the lack of detailed information on the turbulent-combustion characteristics of the flow and radiation heat transfer. Detailed knowledge of the turbulent flow, flame characteristics and heat flux distributions is required in furnaces and combustors for high combustion efficiency and low pollutant emissions. In this paper, FLUENT 4.0 is applied to numerical analysis of the FHC-Ⅲ type swirl burner in No.2 Hot Mill Works of POSCO. The mixture fraction / PDF(Probability Density Function) approach with K-ε turbulent model is used for simulation of turbulent diffusion flames. The PI-model is applied to radiation heat transfer.

        Pellet Semen 의 Glycerol 첨가방법과 평형시간이 한우의 정액성상과 수태에 미치는 영향

        This experiment was conducted to study the possibility of pellet semen as a replacement for ampoule semen and simplifying the method of glycerol addition to the egg yolk extender with Korean native cattle. Glycerol was added once and twice to the egg yolk semen extender and equilibration time was 6, 12 and 18 hrs. respectively. Each semen was freezed in the liquid nitrogen and thawed in a 5℃ water bath. Inseminated artificially frozen semen to the cows and calculated the fertility (N.R. 60-90 days) and sperm living index. The results obtained are as follows: 1. No significant difference was found between once and twice additions of glycerol on the living index of spermatozoa. 2. No significant difference was found between, 6, 12 and 18 hours equilibration intervals on the living index of spermatozoa. 3. Conception rates in the Korean Native Cattle of pellet and ampoule semen were 55.1% and 59.2% respectively. The results indicated that conception rate of pellet semen was no better than the ampoule semen.

      • 섬진강 하구역의 해수순환 및 온배수 확산 특성

        섬진강 하구역의 해수유동 및 온배수 확산 특성을 현장관측과 3차원 수치모델(EFDC)을 이용하여 파악하였다. 섬진강 하구역의 해수유동 특성은 전반적으로 섬진강 유출량의 계절적 변동, 해수유동 구조 및 온배수 등에 의해 복잡한 형태를 보이는 것을 파악할 수 있었고, 이들 자료는 광양만 해양환경 변화 및 섬진강 하구역 관리의 기초자료로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. In this study we try to identify the three-dimensional characteristics of Seomjin River discharges to consider their physical properties using seasonal field observation during spring tide and three-dimensional numerical modeling with EFDC(Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code). A EFDC and observed CTD data was used to predict the seasonal mixing behavior of Seomjin River and thermal discharges. The tidal elevation boundary conditions of the four main tidal harmonic(M2, S2, K1, O1) constituents on the open boundary and river discharges at the river boundary are considered in this study. The open boundary conditions are evaluated from the observation data of tide and tidal current near the open boundary. The circulation characteristics of Seomjin River discharges show well the three-dimensional tidal current and thermal effluents effect to the seasonal variation of river discharges.

        농가에서 사육된 제주한우 , 부라만 × 제주한우 ( F1 ) 및 싼타 × 제주한우 ( F1 ) 에 대한 발육비교

        The data from 222 cattle raised by farmer of Cheju Island from 1964 to 1968 in a crossbreeding project involving Cheju Cattle, Brahman-Cheju Cattle crosses and Santa Gertrudis-Cheju Cattle crosses were analysed by least squre method. The result obtained are as follows: The birth weight of Brahman-Cheju Cattle crosses was heavier than that of Cheju Castle by 4.3㎏, and the Santa-Cheju cattle cross was heavier than the Cheju cattle by 4.14㎏. At three months of age, the Brahman-Cheju Cattle cross was heavier than the Cheju Cattle by 11.89㎏, and the Santa-Cheju Cattle cross was heavier than the Cheju Cattle by 9.97㎏. At six months of age, the Brahman-Cheju Cattle cross was heavier than the Cheju Cattle by 16.60㎏, and the Santa-Cheju Cattle cross was heavier than the Cheju Cattle by 16.5㎏. At 12 months of age, the Brahman-Cheju Cattle cross was heavier than the Cheju Cattle by 43.10㎏, and the Santa-Cheju Cattle cross was heavier than the Cheju Cattle by 45.89㎏. At 24 months of age, the Brahman-Cheju Cattle cross was heavier than the Cheju cattle by 53.38㎏, and the Santa-Cheju Cattle cross was heavier than the Cheju Cattle by 60.48㎏. The differences between the purebred Cheju Cattle and crossbreds were highly significant. But the differences between the Brahman-Cheju Cattle cross and Santa-Cheju Cattle cross ware unimportant. The males were heavier than the females by 0.77㎏ at birth, 2.45㎏ at 3 month, 3.73㎏ at 6 months, 11.26㎏ at 12 months and by 14.06㎏ at 24 months of age. The weight of calves from young dam tended to be smaller than those from the mature dam.

      • ADCP 장기관측자료 분석에 의한 여수해만의 해수유동 변동 특성

        연구대상해역인 여수해만의 해수유동의 주요인은 조석 및 조류현상이나, 계절적으로 섬진강 하천유출수의 영향을 직접적으로 받으므로 이를 고려한 해수유동 특성을 파악할 필요가 있다. 따라서, 본연구는 ADCP (RDI, 600 ㎑)를 이용하여 여수해만에서 2005년 5월 중순부터 11월 하순까지 약 6개월간 해저면에 계류하여 층별 유향 및 유속을 측정하였다. 이 장기관측자료 분석을 통해 여수해만 해수유동의 3차원적인 구조와 변화를 정량적으로 검토하고 섬진강 하천유출수에 의한 해수유동변동 특성을 연구하였다. 장기관측자료 분석결과 여수해만 북부해역 인근해역에서 하천유출수 및 만내순환의 영향 등에 의해 강한 저층 흐름이 생성되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. The objective of this study is to investigate the characteristics of seawater circulation with intensive long-term observing ADCP (RDI, USA) in Yeosu Bay due to the discharges of Seomjin River during the May to November 2005. Observation results show that the flow variation near the estuary influenced by discharges of Seomjin River. And, the strong northward flow of bottom layer anomaly associated with the Seomjin River plume was seen to be highly responsive to tidal circulations and river flows during the long-term observing periods.

        A two-stroke engine has several advantages over a four-stroke engine. It is simple in structure, light in weight and smoothly operating, etc. The scavenging flow in the cylinder is one of the most important factors in determining the performance and power of a poppet-valve-type two-stroke engine. In this study, a shrouded valve is tested to improve the scavenging flow pattern. The scavenging flow paterrn and trapping efficiency are investigated by 3-D computational fluid dynamic analysis with respect to the shroud angle, shroud shape, motoring speed and valve lift-Results show that the trapping efficiency is the highest with 120 deg shrouded valve.<br/>

        엘리트 선수들의 운동특성에 따른 20 m 셔틀런 검사의 유용성

        본 연구의 목적은 엘리트 선수들의 에너지 기여비율에 기인된 종목특성에 따른 20 m 셔틀런 검사를 이용한 심페지구력 측정의 유용성을 평가하는데 있다. 본 연구에 참여자는 K 국립체육대학교에 재학중인 학생 67명을 대상으로 하였으며, 종목 특성은 무산소성종목(단거리, 도약, 역도, 투척; 35명), 유산소성 종목(중장거리; 9명), 투기종목(유도; 23명)으로 3집단을 구성하였다. 20 m 셔틀런검사는 Leger et al.(1982)방법을 이용하였으며, 측정된 셔틀런 횟수를 이용한 가속도 산출은 Brewer et al.(1988) 방법을 이용하였다. 유용성 평가를 위한 VO2max 준거검사는 트레이드밀을 이용한 점증부하 방법을 실시하였으며, 순발력 체력요인은 제자리멀리뛰기와 50 m 달리기를 이용하였다. 순발력, 민첩성, 근지구력을 고려한 체력요인은 Z-점프를 측정하였다. 종목별 체력특성차이는 제자리멀리뛰기와 50 m 달리기에서 무산소성 집단(Anaerobic Group; AnG)이 유산소성집단(Aerobic Group; AeG)과 투기종목집단(Combat Sport Group; CG)에 비해 유의하게 높았다(p<.05). 하지만 Z-점프는 CG가 AnG와 AeG에 비해 유의하게 높았다(p<.05). 20 m 셔틀런 검사결과와 VO2max관련성은 AnG(r= 0.577, p<.0001)와 CG(r= 0.760, p<.0001)에서 유의하게 높은 상관계수를 나타내었으나 AeG는 낮은 상관계수를 나타내었다. 20-셔틀런검사의 유용성평가를 위한 집단간 차이는 20 m 셔틀런 검사결과를 VO2max로 전환하였을 때 집단 간 차이가 없었으며 오차가 감소하는 것을 발견하였다. 우리는 이번 연구에서 20 m 셔틀런 검사의 유용성을 판단하였으며 셔틀런 검사횟수를 이용한 VO2max 산출에 따른 오차가 감소하는 것으로 나타나 현장 활용적인 측면에서 셔틀런 검사를 종목 구분 없이 보편적으로 이용하기 위해 VO2max전환의 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다. This study is to evaluate the availability of cardiorespiratory fitness measurement by 20 m shuttle run test based upon energy contribution rates of elite athletes in different sports type. Sixty-seven elite athletes attending K national university participated in this study. They were divided by three groups based upon sports type, composed of Anaerobic Group (sprint, jumps, weightlifting, throw; n=35), Aerobic Group (medium-long distance; n=9), and Combat Sport Group (judo; n=23). 20 m shuttle run test was conducted by Leger et al.(1982) method and calculating acceleration using measured shuttle run repetitions was conducted by Brewer et al.(1988) method. To test the usefulness of VO2max, graded exercise treadmill test was conducted and standing long jump and 50 m run were measured as power fitness factors. Z-jump was used for measuring power, agility, and muscular endurance. Standing long jump and 50 m run of Anaerobic Group (AnG) was significantly higher than that of Aerobic Group (AeG) and Combat Sport Group (CG) (p<0.05). However, Z-jump of CG was significantly higher than that of AnG and AeG(p<.05). There was a higher correlation of 20 m shuttle run test and VO2max in AnG(r= 0.577, p<.0001) and CG(r= 0.760, p<.0001). Otherwise, there was a low correlation of 20 m shuttle run test and VO2max in AeG. There was no significant group difference to test the availability of 20 m shuttle run test and there was a reduced error when converting 20 m shuttle run results into VO2max. This study examined the usefulness of 20 m shuttle run test by converting 20 m shuttle run repetition results into VO2max calculation, which showed reduced error. Therefore, this study confirmed that it would be needed to convert 20 m shuttle run results into VO2max for universal and practical use in the field without dividing sports type.
