산전 방광 양막강 문합술(Vesicoamniotic shunt)과 출생 후 방광 조루술(Vesicostomy)을 실시한 극소 저출생 체중아의 후부 요도 판막증 1례

본 저자들은 산전에 후부 요도 판막증을 진단 받고 태아기 중재술로 임신기간을 1달간 유지하여 출생한 후 호흡기 합병증을 보였으나 극복하였고 방광 조루술을 통해 신기능을 유지하여 판막 제거술을 기다리고 있는 극소 저출생 체중아 1례를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. We present a case of in-utero vesicoamniotic shunting and postnatal vesicostomy in a very low birth weight baby with posterior urethral valve syndrome. He was diagnosed as posterior urethral valve at $24^{+5$ weeks' gestation. Because of severe hydronephrosis and oligohydroamnios, the shunt was established by basket-shaped catheter at $27^{+0}$ weeks' gestation. After shunt, hydronephrosis improved. At $29^{+4}$ weeks' gestation, the shunt catheter escaped from its position and severe urinary ascites and hydronephrosis developed. At 30 weeks' gestation, the baby was born and showed elevated BUN and creatinine. On the 10th day of birth, vesicostomy was done for urinary drainage. Thereafter, the baby has been followed up for 10 months and has had recurrent episodes of urinary infection. We report the case with a brief review of literature.

초등학교 영어 기초학력 지도 프로그램 운영에 대한 현장 교사의 인식과 실태 탐색

This study explored teachers’ perceptions of the operation of elementary school basic English programs. Basic English programs have been implemented as an important component of the elementary English enhancement policy. This study investigated the teachers’ satisfaction level and the effectiveness of the basic English programs to understand the current situation and evaluate the effectiveness of the policy. The findings showed that teachers mainly utilized the “system for the diagnosis and learning support of basic English ability” when diagnosing students’ English achievement levels. Furthermore, most teachers showed positive perceptions about the level of infrastructure and program operation, but this varied by the size of the region. The effect of basic English programs for improving students’ interest in English and self-directed learning ability was relatively lower in the schools in rural areas than in large cities. Lastly, the majority of teachers demanded support for more teaching and learning materials and program management. This paper concludes by asserting the need for sophisticated support for basic English education at elementary schools, focusing more carefully on the circumstances of the size of the region.

Based on the elementary school English education policy implemented in schools since 2019, English programs have been in operation, including basic English classes, English camps, online English classes, student English clubs, and TaLK native teachers’ classes. In order to investigate the effectiveness of the English education policy, the study conducted a survey on 2,030 elementary school students, and 1,817 parents. The analysis of the effectiveness of the program operation included the alleviation of the gap in English education, the reduction of private education costs, the development of interests in English learning, and the improvement of English skills. According to results, students and parents responded positively to the effectiveness of the program operation. Students’ responses suggested that the programs were effective for ‘improving English learning motivation.’ Parents perceived that the programs were effective in increasing self-confidence and enhancing interest for students rather than reducing the dependency on private education. From the findings, the study provides suggestions to further strengthen the program to improve elementary English education in schools.

서로 다른 문화와 역사를 갖는 아시아 11개국이 함께 모여 아시아고유의 문화적 가치를 발견한다는 취지에서 창단된 ``아시아 전통 오케스트라``는 최근 학계에서 상당한 주목을 받고 있다. 이 글이 아시아 전통 오케스트라에 주목하는 이유는 아시아 전통 오케스트라에는 글로벌중심의 세계화의 확산과 로컬의 지역적 정체성 사이의 역동이 반영되어 있기 때문이다. 이런 점에서 이 글에서는 아시아 전통 오케스트라의 전통에 대한 탐구가 아시아 스스로의 문화적 정체성을 확립하고 지역과 중심 사이의 헤게모니 구조를 무력화시키는 세계화 시대 탈식민으로의 도약인지 혹은 여전히 중심의 확산에 대한 수동적 대응으로서의 식민에 대한 모방인지를 고찰하고자 한다. 이 글에서 다루는 아시아 전통 오케스트라와 세계화가 만들어 내는 복잡한 역학 관계는 21세기 세계화의 속성에 대한 진지한 탐구이자 동시에 세계화의 한계와 위험을 극복하는 탈식민에 대한 의미 있는 제안이 될 것이라 기대한다. Recently, Asia Traditional Orchestra is paid attention to by the scholarly communities of Korea. 11 Asian countries participate in launching Asia Traditional Orchestra and have sought to construct Asia`s indigenous cultural values. Thus, it seems that the launch of Asia Traditional Orchestra mirrors a first step to reconstruct an imagined community of Asia in the era of globalization. Asian Traditional Orchestra can be seen as a decolonization and glocalization of postcolonial Asian communities, adopting the strategies of juxtaposition and intertextuality of one`s own musical tradition. In this sense, the main goal of my paper is to analyze the dynamics and imbalance between global and local which is reflected in Asia Traditional Orchestra. On the one hand, my argument is more centered on how this orchestra consciously or unconsciously observes Asia herself as others. That is, my paper not merely mediates the dialogics between the ``West/global`` and the Asian communities/local and between modernity and tradition but also uncover the modernist and Orientalist discourse hidden in this project. On the other hand, my paper also explores the way which Asia Traditional Orchestra can serve as a meaningful proposal for overcoming the ambivalence of globalization.

다문화음악교육에 대한 음악인류학적 단상

이 글은 음악인류학적 관점에서 다문화 음악교육을 고찰함으로써 다문화 음악교육이 낯선 ``음향``과 ``소리구조``에 대한 이해가 아니라 ``역사``와 ``문화``로서의 이해로 확대되어야 하는 이론적 근거들을 제시하고 있다. 우리 교육현장에서 다문화 음악교육은 다문화 음악에 대한 지식 전달과 체험이 주를 이루고 있어 실질적으로 다문화 음악교육을 통해 타문화를 존중하고 이해하는 다문화적 이해를 이끌어내는데 제약이 있다. 이런 점에서 각 문화의 고유한 가치와 취향을 인정하는 다원주의적 관점과 탈식민적 사고를 확립하고 실천할 수 있는 교육으로서 다문화 음악교육의 가능성을 전망해보고자 한다. 미국 내 멕시코 이민사회와 흑인사회가 만들어낸 음악문화를 통해 다문화 음악교육이 ``문화로서의 음악에 대한 이해`` 뿐 아니라 ``탈식민성 배양``으로 활용될 수 있는 방안을 제시해보고자 한다. 그리고 이러한 자아 성찰과 타문화에 대한 존중과 이해는 음악 향유와 생산에서 다원주의적 가치와 판단을 가능케 하여 음악활동과 개념에서의 탈식민을 이끌어낼 것이라 생각한다. On ethnomusicological grounds, this paper would like to examine the multicultural music education. This paper consists of two parts. The first part provides an outline of the theoretical issues of this paper. The main role of the first part is to explore how ethnomusicologists have discoursed music education and why multicultural music education should be focused on understanding ``history`` and ``culture`` as well as the unfamiliar ``sound`` and ``structure.`` Concentrating on the Mexican immigrant and African American communities in the U. S., the second part will discuss how multicultural music education can play an important role in deconstructing the dualism between the Western(modern) and non-Western(traditional) cultures. Self-reflection and the understanding of other cultures will demonstrate the way to decolonize the past and present of our music culture.

〈터키 행진곡〉에서 《라이언 킹》까지 소리로 재현된 오리엔탈리즘에 관한 단상

According to Edward Said, `the Orient` was an entity which only resides in the European imagination in order to authorize European discourse about `others` and European interests in power-political, cultural, and intellectual. For challenging the Orientalist, essentialist, and colonialist implications of otherness, this paper details and mediates Orientalist discourses on non-Western music based upon Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail(1782) by Mozart, King Kong(1933), The Last Temptation of Christ(1988), Pieces of Africa by Kronos Quartet(1992), and Lion King(1994). This paper sheds light on the inherent colonial characteristics and the old hegemonic structure between the West and the non-West in the narratives of music in drama. On one level, this paper deconstructs the concept of Orient as an invented identity which was created and has grown into, a single, homogeneous entity in the European imagination. On the other level, it is concerned with the ways in which the admixture of essentialist and Orientalist discourses on the Orient has distorted the cultural and historical identity and significance of the non-Western music. Accordingly, it questions the way which the Orientalist ideology has been internalized within our own consciousness in the designation and strategy of world music although the conditions of globalization are minimizing the geographical and ontological distance between different musical practices.
