The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the development of laterality and bilateral motor abilities measured with respect to various rhythm movements in upper extremity of mentally retared children. The development of laterality was measured by a survey of dominace-hand. The bilateral motor abilities were assessed by means of a tentative rhythm beat test of hands. One hundred sixty eighty subjects with special education needs shose age ranged from 7 to 18 years old were used for an experimental group. Fity nine normal children whose age ranged from 3 to 6 years old were also chosen as a control group. The major findings were a follows: 1. The development of lateral dominace-hand in mentally retared children differed from that of normal subjects with as increase in chronological age; the degree of the attainment of lateral dominance - hand was 75 percest of the mean level of the normal children. Though normal children establish a dominance - hand by ths age of years old, meatally retarded children are likely to show 57 percent of normal development at the age of 7 through 9 years old and 65 percent of normal development at the age of 16 through 18 years old. 2. A greater delay in mentally retarded was found through a rhythm test which was development to assess bilateral motor abilities in upper extremity. A closser relationship betwin chronological age and the development of bilateral motor abilities in mentally retared children was found. 3. In view of these findings, it was indicated that bilateral motor abilities of the retarded and non-retarded children were significantly correlated to the acqusition of dominance-hand.
정전분무에 의한 고점성 액체의 액적 생성 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

Generation characteristics of electrospray droplets for highly viscous liquid have been investigated by measuring size distributions of droplets emitted from the Taylor cone using glycerol solutions with various conductivities. Because of very small volatility of glycerol, droplet sizes can be measured by an aerodynamic size spectrometer (TSI Aerosizer DSP) with negligible evaporation of droplets. For highly conducting and viscous liquid, the sizes of the droplets electrosprayed from the Taylor cone are found to be relatively insensitive to applied voltages and the electrosprays assisted by the corona discharge call produce monodisperse droplets as long as the corona intensity is not too high. Near the minimum flow rate where a liquid cone is stable, the spray tends to consist of a one -peak monodisperse distribution of drop lets. However, at high flow rates, the spray bifurcates into bimodal distributions, which are consistent with the result of the previous study for less viscous liquids than our liquids. For liquid flow rates (Q) below 1 nl/s, the measured droplet diameters by the aerosizer are in the range of 0.30 to 1.2 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for the glycerol solutions. The diameters of monodisperse droplets scale approximately with $r^*=Q_$\tau$(Q$\tau$){^1/3}$ where $r^*$ is a characteristic length and $\tau$is the electrical relaxation time of the fluid. However, when compared with several represe ntative scaling laws, the droplet diameters are two to six factors greater than those predicted by the scaling laws. This may be closely related to the combined effect of the much higher viscosity and the electrical charge on the jet breakup of glycerol so solution.

1,3-Diazatricyclo (5.2.1.O5.10) decade-2,4dione, C8H10N2O2의 단위세포 상수는a=6.585(7), b=9.089(4), c=12.937(10)A, β=95.72(5)˚, V=770.43, Dc=1.4391c0, 1=1.Ocm-1,7 =295 ˚K, 공간군은 P21/n이고 단사 정계이며 Z =4이 다. λ(Mo K u ) =0.7093A을 사용한 698개 의 회절 반점에 대한 최종 신뢰도 R값은 0.037이다. 본 화합물은 N1-(w-butenyl)uracil의 분자내 (2+2) 광고리화 반응 생성물이며, (5.1. 2.O5.10) tricyclic 계에 속한다. Inversion symmetry에 의해 관련된 한 쌍의 분자들은 uracil 부분의 02와H3간 의 강한 수소 결합을 하고있다 1,3-Diazatricyclo (5.2.1.Os .to) decane-2,11-dione , C8H10N2O2. MW=166.15, Monoclinic, P2/n a= 6.585(7) , b=9.089(4), c=12.937(10)A, β=95.72(5)˚, V=770.4A3, Z=4, Dc=1.43(4) g/cm3, λ (Mo Ka)=0.7093A, r=1.Ocm-1, T=295˚K, final R=0.037 for 698 unique observed reflections. The compound is the product of the intramolecular (2+2) photocycloaddition of Nl-(w-butenyl)uracil and belongs to a (5.2.1.O5.10) tricyclic system. A pair of molecules related by the inversion symmetry are held together by the strong hydrogen bonding interactions between 02 and H3 of the uracil moiety.
중증 뇌동맥류 환자의 조기 수술에 있어서 뇌압 측정의 중요성

Objective : Patients with poor grade aneurysm usually present with increased intracranial pressure(ICP), even those without an intracranial clot. Based on this fact, the present study investigated a significance of intracranial pressure monitoring in those patients. Patients and Methods : A total of 60 patients with Hunt and Hess Grade IV(50 patients) or V(10 patients) were treated for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH) during a 3-year-period, and intraparenchymal ICP was measured in the majority, immediately after arrival to the emergency room. Early surgery including intraoperative ventriculostomy was undertaken within 3 days after SAH. An ultraearly surgery was performed without preceding angiogram or ICP monitoring in patients with large sylvian hematomas, highly suggestive of middle cerebral artery aneurysm. Outcomes were assessed by the Glasgow Outcome Scale(GOS) at 6 months. Results : In overall, favorable outcome(GOS scores 1-2) was seen in 27(54.0%) of admission Grade IV and 1(10.0%) of admission Grade V patients. Of the 38 surgical patients with preoperative ICP monitorings, 25 patients (80.6%) exhibiting ICP values of less than 40mmHg showed favorable outcome, however, no patients with ICP values above 40mmHg recovered(Fisher's exact test, p=0.0001). Conclusion : It is concluded that a preoperative ICP above 40mmHg before ventriculostomy indicate significant vital brain destruction as intractable intracranial hypertension, and Grade IV patients at admission with an ICP below 40mmHg can be of benefit from early surgical intervention while Grade V patients still remains unfavorable.
