        금속분말 강화수지를 이용한 쾌속금형 제작

        As dies and molds have become more and more complicated in the recent years, the demand for lower cost and shorter production time is also growing stronger. Rapid prototyping and Tooling technologies are expected to be used for more rapid and lower cost tool fabrication. However the rapid tooling methods have not yet reached the level of application to the manufacturing of metallic dies and molds which require high dimensional accuracy. As the rapid tooling technology, there are the slurry casting, the powder casting, the direct laser sintering, and so on. Generally, in the slurry casting, the alumina powder and the water soluble phenol were mainly used. However, the mechanical properties of the phenol were not good enough to apply to molds directly. In this study, pure epoxy and two types of aluminium powder reinforced resin are applied to the slurry casting. The mechanical and thermal properties are better than phenol because the epoxy is the thermosetting resin. And mechanical characteristics such as shrinkage rate, hardness, surface roughness are measured for the sake of comparison. Metal powder reinforced resin molds are better than the resin tool form the viewpoint of shrinkage rate and hardness. Finally, it has been shown that the application possibility of this process is high, because the manufacturing time and cost savings are significant.

      • 개인정보의 적절한 이용과 보호의 균형

        인터넷 웹사이트를 통한 개인정보의 대량 유통, 상품배송기관을 통한 개인정보의 유출, 명의도용, 신용정보유출 등의 정보프라이버시 침해의 사례가 많이 발표되면서, 개인정보의 적절한 이용과 정보 프라이버시(Information Privacy)의 보호에 대한 관심이 날로 높아져가고 있다. 이러한 사회 현상과 시민의 관심을 반영하여 개인정보 보호를 위한 다양한 법률과 제도가 최근에 검토되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 이름, 전화번호, 주소, 전자우편주소 등 비교적 민감하지 않은 개인정보를 기업의 마케팅이나 홍보에 이용하는 경우의 좁은 의미에서의 개인정보 보호에 초점을 맞추었다. 이러한 개인정보 및 개인정보서비스 와 관련된 법률, 정책 및 제도를 정보의 생성과 이용의 흐름 및 경제주체를 중심으로 적절한 정보의 이용이 보장 되면서 개인의 정보프라이버시가 보호될 수 있는 방안을 마련하는 방법을 체계적으로 검토하였다. 해외의 개인정보서비스 산업의 사례 조사를 통하여 향후 우리나라에서 개인정보서비스산업이 활성화되었을 때 개인의 만족증대, 실질적인 정보보호 수준의 향상, 고용창출, 기업활동의 효율화, 관련기업의 국제경쟁력 고양 등의 기대효과가 있음을 보였다. 또한, 개인정보의 적절한 이용과 보호, 그리고 정보서비스산업의 활성화를 위하여 관련 법률의 제정 및 개정, 정보보호 제도의 개발 및 효과적 운영, 장기적 정보서비스 산업 활성화 정책 수립과 단계적 추진, 활성화를 위한 정부 및 민간 재원 확보, 사회적 공감대 형성, 지속적인 연구 등을 제안한다.

        Angiogenin-loaded fibrin/bone powder composite scaffold for vascularized bone regeneration

        Background: Angiogenin (ANG) is a potent stimulator of angiogenesis. The aim of this study was to fabricate an ANG-loaded scaffold and to evaluate its angiogenic and osteogenic effects. In this study, we fabricated an ANG-loaded scaffold using bovine bone powder and fibrin glue. We then evaluated the structural, morphological, and mechanical properties of the scaffold and the in vitro release profile of ANG. Cell proliferation, viability, and adhesion were evaluated using endothelial cells in vitro, and angiogenesis and new bone formation were evaluated using a rabbit calvarial defect model in vivo. Results: Micro-computed tomography imaging showed that the bone powder was uniformly distributed in the scaffold, and scanning electron microscopy showed that the bone powder was bridged by polymerized fibrin. The porosity and compressive strength of the scaffolds were ~60 % and ~0.9 MPa, respectively, and were not significantly altered by ANG loading. In vitro, at 7 days, approximately 0.4 μg and 1.3 μg of the ANG were released from the FB/ANG 0.5 and FB/ANG 2.0, respectively and sustained slow release was observed until 25 days. The released ANG stimulated cell proliferation and adherence and was not cytotoxic. Furthermore, in vivo implantation resulted in enhanced angiogenesis, and new bone formation depended on the amount of loaded ANG. Conclusions: These studies demonstrate that a fibrin and bone powder scaffold loaded with ANG might be useful to promote bone regeneration by enhanced angiogenesis.

        금연법 강화가 흡연에 미치는 영향

        국내외적으로 간접흡연이나 환경 속 담배연기가 미칠 수 있는 해악에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있으며, 그 결과 작업공간 내 금연정책이 점차 늘어나고 있다. 한국에서도 작업공간 내 금연정책이 2003년 국민건강증진법 개정으로 훨씬 강화되었다. 본 논문에서는 2001년과 2005년에 이루어진 국민건강영양조사를 이용하여 강화된 금연정책이 흡연율과 일평균 흡연 개비 수에 미친 영향을 분석하고자 한다. 금연법강화가 실내 작업공간 위주로 이루어진 점에 착안하여 법 개정의 영향을 많이 받은 실내근무자 직업군과 영향을 비교적 덜 받는 실외근무자 직업군을 비교하였다. 추정 결과, 금연법 강화로 95% 수준에서 유의하게 흡연율은 4.1%p 감소하였고, 흡연자 중 일평균 흡연 개비는 2.5개비 줄어든 것으로 나타났다. There is a growing concern about potential harmful effect of second-hand or environmental tobacco smoking. As a result, smoking bans in workplace become more prevalent worldwide. In Korea, workplace smoking ban policy become more restrictive in 2003 when National health enhancing law was amended. The new law requires all office buildings larger than 3,000 square meters (multi-purpose buildings larger than 2,000 square meters) should be smoke free. Therefore, a lot of indoor office became non smoking area. Previous studies in other counties often found contradicting answers for the effects of workplace smoking ban on smoking behavior. In addition, there was no study in Korea yet that examines the causal impacts of smoking ban on smoking behavior. The situation in Korea might be different from other countries. Using 2001 and 2005 Korea National Health and Nutrition surveys which are representative for population in Korea we try to examine the impacts of law change on current smoker and cigarettes smoked per day. The amended law impacted the whole country at the same time and there was a declining trend in smoking rate even before the legislation update. So, the challenge here is to tease out the true impact only. We compare indoor working occupations which are constrained by the law change with outdoor working occupations which are less impacted. Since the data has been collected before (2001) and after (2005) the law change for treated (indoor working occupations) and control (outdoor working occupations) groups we will use difference in difference method. We restrict our sample to working age (between 20 and 65) since these are the relevant population by the workplace smoking ban policy. We also restrict the sample to indoor occupations (executive or administrative and administrative support) and outdoor occupations (sales and low skilled worker) after dropping unemployed and someone working for military since it is not clear whether these occupations are treated group or control group. This classification was supported when we examined the answers for workplace smoking ban policy existing only in 2005 survey. Sixty eight percent of indoor occupations reported having an office smoking ban policy compared to forty percent of outdoor occupation answering workplace smoking ban policy. The estimated impacts on current smoker are 4.1 percentage point decline and cigarettes per day show statistically significant decline of 2.5 cigarettes per day. Taking into account consumption of average sixteen cigarettes per day among smokers it is sixteen percent decline in smoking rate which is substantial. We tested robustness using the same sample across two surveys and also using tobit model. Our results are robust against both concerns. It is possible that our measure of treated and control group have measurement error which will lead to attenuation bias. However, we are finding statistically significant impacts which might be a lower bound of the true estimates. The magnitude of our finding is not much different from previous finding of significant impacts. For cigarettes per day previous estimates varied from 1.37 to 3.9 and for current smoker it showed between 1%p and 7.8%p.
