        인공산성 (人工酸性) 비 처리에 대한 은행나무와 곰솔의 생장반응

        In order to determine the effects of the simulated acid rain on plant growth response, length and weight growth, chlorophyll content, and carbohydrate content of Ginkgo biloba L. and Pinus thunbergii P. were examined with 3 months-old seedlings. The seedlings were treated with the rain of pH 5.6, 4.0, 3.2 and 2.4, three times per week. Ginkgo seedlings were significantly reduced in fresh and dry weight, leaf area, root length and T-R rate. Pinus seedlings showed significant reduction in the extention growth, fresh weight, needle elongation. The growth of shoot was more susceptible to acid rain than that of roots. As physiological indicator to acid rain, there was no significant effect on the chlorophyll content of Ginkgo, and carbohydrate production of leaf were reduced at pH 3.2 treatments. However, chlorophyll content of needle from Pinus thunbergii were significantly reduced after exposure to simulated acid rain.

      • 고등학교 생물 ‘생명의 연속성’ 단원 분석

        Recent advances in biotechnology has centered around the field of genetics. Although the likely benefits of biotechnology is obvious, it is assuring that the potential risks has to be carefully weighed. It also rasied new social and ethical issues in everyday life experiences. Thus, biology education especially in the units on biotechnology and genetics should emphasize social implications of the technology. In this study, the “Continuity of Life” unit in high school biology Ⅱ curriculum was analyzed in the context of Science, Technology and society(STS). The unit, “Continuity of Life”, describes basic genetic phenomena and evolution of life. five different high school biology Ⅱtextbooks were chosen and inquiry content dimension, and the inquiry process dimension. Analyses of the inquiry content dimension showed that 40.6% of inquiry activities in the unit were devoted to the evolution part and those for cell division, reproduction and development, and Mendelian genetics were at most 8.7%, 13.0%, and 16.0%, respectively. In the inquiry process dimension. ‘interpreting data and formulating generalization’ and ‘observation and measuring’categories consist of 81.1%. The other categories, ‘seeing a problem and seeking ways to solve it’ and ‘building, testing, and revising the theoretical model’ were under represented. In the context dimension, the scientific context consists of 73.0% and the proportion of the other three categories, individual context, the social context, and the technical context was only 26.1% in total. In conclusion, the analysis of inquiry activities on the “Continuity of Life” unit in five textbooks composed based upon the Sixth Curriculum of High School Education failed to show intimate relationship between science and society and simply concentrated on description and explanation of scientific facts. Provided the fact that the BiologyⅡ is used in the highschool class for students who want to be future natural science majors of who show special interests in natural science, it is important for students to understand the ethical and social issues that recent biotechnology raised and to become scientifically literate and responsible persons.

        최근 네트워크 상에 새롭고 다양한 어플리케이션들이 생겨나면서 이에 따른 적절한 어플리케이션별 서비스 제공을 위한 패킷 분류 방법이 요구되고 있다. 이로 인하여 딥 러닝 기술이 발전 하면 서 이를 이용한 네트워크 트래픽 분류 방법들이 제안되고 있다. 따라서,본 논문에서는 접 러닝 기 술 중 Convolution Neural Network 와 Recurrent Neural Network 를 동시에 활용 한 네트워크 패킷 분류 방법을 제안한다.

        장애대학생의 필라테스 운동 참여가 기초체력 및 삶의 질 변화에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to recognize the effects of regular pilates exercise program on physical fitness, body shaping, and quality of life. Eight physically disabled subjects participated in the study, and following results were found : 1. Among 10 subordinate factors of physical self-concept, sport ability and physical ability showed significant differences (p<.05), and overall result of physical self-concept also showed significant improvement (p<.05). However, all other factors (include body fat, slimness, appearance, dignity, health, flexibility, muscular endurance, muscular strength, and global physical condition) did not show any noticeable differences (p>.05). 2. Among 4 subordinate factors of perceptional-emotional condition, immersion and pleasure factors showed significant differences (p<.05), and overall result of perceptional-emotional condition also showed significant difference (p<.05). However, self-realization and ability factors did not show any significant differences (p>.05). 3. Most of factors in physical fitness (i.e., right and left grip strength, isometric contraction at 55° tilting degrees, and throwing of medicine ball) showed significant differences, especially left-grip and throwing of medicine ball showed remarkable improvement (p<.001). However, two other factors (i.e., left and right single leg standing) in physical fitness did not show any significant changes (p>.05). 4. Three subordinate factors of body composition (i.e., body mass, % body fat, and BMI) did not show any noticeable differences (p>.05). Based on these results, following conclusions were drawn : applying regular pilates exercise program can be exert beneficial effects in physically challenged people especially in physical strength and quality of life. (at least, partially), when the program is used for aiming of sport for all. However, further researches using various types of pilates exercise program, different exercise intensities and durations are to be conducted to figure out more detailed effects.

        은행나무와 곰솔의 줄기 및 뿌리의 생장과 해부형태에 미치는 인공산성비의 효과

        은행나무 줄기와 뿌리의 해부학적 관찰에서 횡단면의 가도관의 접선직경, 세포면적, 세포벽 두께 및 방사열에서 세포층수는 산성비의 pH가 낮아짐에 따라 감소되었다. 은행나무의 절선면에서 관찰한 줄기와 뿌리의 방추형 시원세포의 길이와 방사조직 시원세포의 길이는 산성비 처리에 의해 짧아지는 경향을 나타내었다. 곰솔의 줄기와 뿌리의 횡단면에서 가도관의 접선직경, 세포면적, 세포벽 두께 및 방사열에서 세포층수 역시 산성비 처리에 의해 pH가 낮아짐에 따라 감소되었다. 곰솔의 피층, 수와 목부의 면적은 산성비 처리에 의해 감소되었다. 따라서 산성비는 은행나무와 곰솔의 길이생장은 물론 형성층의 활동력을 감소시켜 2기목부의 분화를 둔화시키는 것으로 보인다. Effects of the simulated acid rain on the growth response and the structural features were studied with the 3 month old seedlings of G. biloba and P. thunbergii treated with acid rain of pH 5.6, 4.0, 3.2, and 2.4. The diameter and area of tracheid cells in the transectioned stem of G. biloba decreased with acidity of simulated acid rain. The wall thickness of tracheid cells was the thinest at pH 2.4, but there was no different at other levels of pH. Increasing of the acidity, the height of tracheid cells were reduced steadily. The diameter and area of tracheid cells of the transectioned root reduced with decreasing pH of acid rain, but those at pH 3.2 were larger than those at control. The wall thickness and height of tracheid cells of root were gradually decreased with acidity of acid rain. The size variation of the fusiform cambial initials in the stem of G. biloba sections tangentially showed a shortening tendency with treatment of acid rain. The length of ray initials was the shortest at pH 2.4 and reduced with decreasing pH of acid rain. The diameter, area, wall thickness, and height of the tracheid cells in P. thunbergii stem and root decreased with decreasing pH of acid rain. The areas of the pith, cortex, and xylem in P. thunbergii treated with acid rain decreased, but the cortex and pith areas increased significantly after exposure to acid rain of pH 3.2 compared with control.

      • 농촌 소규모 오·폐수 처리에 관한 조사 연구

        A survey was carried out to propose an optimum wastewater treatment for small farm communities where sanitary sewers are not possible to be installed. This paper covers a review on criteria for the selection of proper treatment processes and on feasibilities and applicabilities of each process. Finally soil systems which consist of anaerobic contact reactor with soil cover and underground soil trench system, were discussed and recommended as one of the best alternatives for the small farm wastewater treatment.
