Recently, surface modification technology is of importance to improve the wear resistance and the corrosive resistance for high accurate mechanical parts such as LM guide, Ball Screw and Roller Bearing etc., Those has generally featured on rolling contact mechanism to improve not only the wear and the friction, but also the accuracy and the corrosion performances. For surface modifications of high accurate mechanical parts, normally thermal spray, PVD, CVD and E.P. processes have been used with many materials such as DLC, raydent, W, Ni, Ti etc. Diamondlike carbon (DLC) films possess a combination of attractive properties and have been largely employed to modify the tribological behaviors such as friction, wear, corrosion, fretting fatigue, biocompatibility, etc. However, for rolling contact mechanism mechanical parts DLC films are needed to study for commercial benefit. Rolling contact mechanism has features on effects of cyclic motions and stresses, and also not simply sliding motions. The papers focused on the performance test of wear and corrosive resistance according to Me-DLC film thickness. And also, its thickness effect of wear analysis was carried out through the simulation of the maximum shear stress under the rolling contact surface. As the results, Me-DLC films have more potential to improve the wear resistance for high precision mechanical parts than raydent films.

FIB equipment can perform sputtering and chemical vapor deposition simultaneously. It is very advantageously used to fabricate a micro structure part having 3D shape because the minimum beam size of Φ10nm and smaller is available. Since general FIB uses very short wavelength and extremely high energy, it can directly make a micro structure less than 1μm. As a result, FIB has been probability in manufacturing high performance micro devices and high precision micro structures. Until now, FIB has been commonly used as a very powerful tool in the semiconductor industry. It is mainly used for mask repair, device correction, failure analysis, IC error correction, etc. In this paper FIB-Sputtering and FIB-CVD characteristic analysis were carried out according to Ga? ion beam current that is very important parameter for minimizing the pattern size and maximizing the yield. Also, for FIB-Sputtering burr caused by redeposition of the substrate characteristic analysis was carried out.
Melting Depth Characteristics according to Electron Beam Dose for Electron Beam Micro-Hole Drilling

E-Beam micro-hole drilling features high productivity of 2,000 holes per second and a high aspect ratio of 10 (depth/diameter). It can be used for the fabrication of nozzles and filters that require several holes. The hole-formation mechanism comprises 1) melting the sample by the energy exchange of e-beam and 2) removing the molten sample by the explosion of the backing material. Accordingly, hole-formation mechanism studies have focused on the effectiveness of backing material and the workpiece’s melting characteristic. This study investigated the melting depth characteristics depending on the beam current and exposure time that determines the E-Beam dose. The experiments were conducted without using the backing materials with an aim to investigate the melting characteristic of the workpiece itself. The results showed that the increase in the exposure current led to an improvement in the melting depth. The results were verified based on the comparison with the results of the process involving the backing material.
A Review of State of the Art of Electron Beam and Ion Beam Machining

Energy beam machining is a type of micro/nano-manufacturing technology for advanced materials. The energy beam is composed of the matter which exhibits not only particle but also wave-like behaviors. In this paper, we focused on the energy beam machining using the charged particles, which is classified into electron beam and ion beam machining. The equipment and principles of irradiation of electron beam and ion beam are investigated, and the range of technologies according to the energy beam characteristics is summarized. For the electron beam machining, recent studies for equipment development of surface heat treatment process and electron beam melting process using low-power electron beam are summarized. For the ion beam machining, recent studies on focused ion beam machining with various materials, such as high hardness materials, optical materials and semiconductor materials, are summarized. The studies for improving the accuracy and productivity of focused ion beam machining was is summarized. It was found that numerous technologies using the energy beam have been achieved for manufacturing of micro/nano-components with high precision. It is expected that the energy beam machining becomes a promising manufacturing technology for advanced materials.

최근 우리나라 철도는 과거처럼 단순히 승객 및 화물의 수송 기능만 담당하는 것이 아닌 철도를 이용해 여행을 떠나 그 자체가 추억으로 남게 되는 레저용 관광열차가 많아지고 있으며, 이러한 관광열차가 상품화되어 실제로 이를 이용하는 승객들이 계속 증가하고 있다. 하지만 여러 가지 문제점으로 인하여 관광객 수요가 계획에 못 미치고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문은 일본 관광열차 운영 현황과 비교, 분석하여 우리나라가 일본을 통해 참고해볼 점을 조사하고 우리나라의 관광열차가 개선해야 할 점을 제시하고자 한다. Recent Korean railway is a journey using rail rather than simply responsible only for transporting functions of passengers and cargo as in the past the passengers themselves the leisure tourist train for that is to be left with memories and become many, this tourist train is commercialized utilizing indeed it and they continue to grow. However, due to various problems it is a crazy situation that tourists demand filled on schedule. The purpose of this paper is to analyze, compare and Japanese tourist train operation status and wish to see our country through surveys that try to suggest that the Japanese need to improve the country "s tourist train .
