In order to evaluate the characteristics of heavy metal adsorption to soil, three kinds of heavy metals (Pb,Cu,Cd), commonly existing in abandoned mine area, were selected and use for adsorption experiments. Through the adsorption kinetics, Cu^2+ and Cd^2+ were reached to pseudo-equilibrium state within I hour, whereas Pb^2+ was within 3 hours. The result of adsorption isotherm demonstrated that the Freundlich model was more suitable than Langumuir in explanation of selected metals adsorption and K_F value was in the order of Pb^2+> Cu^2+> Cd^2+. All selected metals adsorbed to soil more than 80% in the range of pH above 4.
낭성법랑모세포종, 함치성낭, 치성각화낭의 방사선소견과 Ki-67, PCNA, Cytokeratin 발현과의 연관성에 관한 연구

Purpose : To compare the proliferation potential of the epithelial cells between unicystic ameloblastoma (UA), dentigerous cyst (DC), and odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) and to correlate this proliferation potential with the radiographic features of these three pathoses. Materials and Methods : Immunohistochemical expression of PCNA, Ki-67, and cytokeratin as a proliferation marker were assessed for 15 cases of UA, 15 cases of DC, and 15 cases of OKC. The degree of immunochemical expression of three proliferation markers were correlated with the radiographic features, especially cortical expansion (negative and positive) and shape of border (scalloped and round). Results : Using PCNA and Ki-67, OKC showed the highest proliferation potential and UA the lowest. Statistically significant differences were found between the OKC and the UA (p.0.05). However, no statistically significant difference was present according to the radiographic features in all pathoses. Using cytokeratin, there was no significant differences of proliferation potential among three pathoses. Conclusions : OKC epithelium has the most intense proliferation potential, followed by the dentigeous cyst and then unicystic ameloblastoma. There is no significant relation between the radiographic features and the proliferation potential of epithelium of these three pathoses.

Haemaphysalis longicornis Neumann, 1901 were collected from native cattle and milk cattle, at the Cholla-buk-do province, Korea from June to September 1989. The fine surface structures of each growing stages in H. longicornis were observed by scanning electron microscope(JSM-T330A). Venter, capitulum, hypostome, anus, spiracular plate, ventral integument, festoon, scutum, dorsal integument, claw, legs and Haller's organ were observed. Mean body length is 2,710.2㎛ in unfed males, 3,003.3㎛ in unfed females, l,396.6㎛ in unfed nymphs and 662.6㎛ in unfed larvae. Hypostome dentition is usually 5/5 in adult, 3/3 in nymph and 2/2 in larva. Light microscope was used to investigate the histological structures of the salivary gland in unfed female ticks, H. longicornis. As in other species of female ixodid ticks, the salivary glands are consisted of three alveoli, one agranular(type Ⅰ) and two granular(type Ⅱ, Ⅲ).
