        혈액의 전처리 방법에 따른 적혈구 pyrimidine 5'-nucleotidase 활성도의 비교

        Sakai's method (1986) has been known as the simplest one for determination of erythrocyte pyrimidine 5' nucleotidase(P5N) activity using high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). However the drawback of the method is that it is difficult to wash the erythrocyte for isolation. To search for the simpler method, we compared Sakai's method with other methods using whole blood treated with heparin and concanavalin A or whole blood treated with EDTA-2K instead of washing the erythrocyte. The mean concentrations of lead in blood samples collected from 44 male and 16 female workers who are healthy without any exposure to lead in their workplace were 4.30±1.31 ㎍/㎗(mean ±standard deviation), which were measured by frameless atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Erythrocyte P5N activities were measured by 3 methods; Sakai's method(Method Ⅰ), using whole blood treated with heparin and concanavalin A(Method Ⅱ), and using whole blood treated with EDTA-2K(Method Ⅲ). The results were obtained as follows; 1. The mean of erythrocyte P5N activity by Sakai's method(MethodⅠ) were 12.7±2.47 μmole uridine/hr/gm of Hb. 2. The mean of erythrocyte P5N activity by the method using heparinized whole blood treated with concanavalin A(Method Ⅱ) were 13.1,±2.41 μmole uridine/hr/gm of Hb. 3. The difference of mean erythrocyte P5N activity between Method Ⅰ and Method Ⅱwas mot significant. 4. The erythrocyte P5N activity by the method using whole blood treated with EDTA2K(Method Ⅲ) was significantly different from Method Ⅰ. We thought that omission of incubation period which was required on Method Ⅲ using EDTA-2K caused the difference between Method Ⅰ and Method Ⅲ. 5. Simple linear regression equation for erythrocyte P5N activity between Method Ⅰ(Y) and Method Ⅱ(X) was significant: Y= -0.012 +0.9724 X. These results suggest that the method using whole blood treated with heparin and concanavalin A is simpler to examine the erythrocyte P5N activity as a biological indicator of lead intoxication than Sakai's method.

        <P>This paper presents a new linear framework to obtain 3D scene reconstruction and camera calibration simultaneously from uncalibrated images using scene geometry. Our strategy uses the constraints of parallelism, coplanarity, colinearity, and orthogonality. These constraints can be obtained in general man-made scenes frequently. This approach can give more stable results with fewer images and allow us to gain the results with only linear operations. In this paper, it is shown that all the geometric constraints used in the previous works performed independently up to now can be implemented easily in the proposed linear method. The study on the situations that cannot be dealt with by the previous approaches is also presented and it is shown that the proposed method being able to handle the cases is more flexible in use. The proposed method uses a stratified approach, in which affine reconstruction is performed first and then metric reconstruction. In this procedure, the additional constraints newly extracted in this paper have an important role for affine reconstruction in practical situations.</P>

      • Convenient calibration method for unsynchronized camera networks using an inaccurate small reference object.

        <P>In this paper, a new and convenient calibration algorithm is proposed for unsynchronized camera networks with a large capture volume. The proposed method provides a simple and accurate means of calibration using a small 3D reference object. Moreover, since the inaccuracy of the object is also compensated simultaneously, the manufacturing cost can be decreased. The extrinsic and intrinsic parameters are recovered simultaneously by capturing an object placed arbitrarily in different locations in the capture volume. The proposed method first resolves the problem linearly by factorizing projection matrices into the camera and the object pose parameters. Due to the multi-view constraints imposed on factorization, consistency of the rigid transformations among cameras and objects can be imposed. These consistent estimation results can be further refined using a non-linear optimization process. The proposed algorithm is evaluated via simulated and real experiments in order to verify that it is more efficient than previous methods.</P>

        The recently recognized immunodeficiency syndrome of idiopathic CD4+ T-lymphocytopenia was defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to include depressed numbers of circulating CD4+ T-lymphocytes ($lt;300 cells/㎣ or $lt;20% of total T cells) on more than one occasion, no laboratory evidence of infection with human immunodeficiency virus type 1(HIV-1) or type 2 (HIV-2), and the absence of any defined immunodeficiency or therapy associated with depressed levels of CD4+ T cells. We had experienced one case of Idiopathic CD4+ T-lymphocytopenia without HIV infection, combined with Kaposi's sarcoma and Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia. She had visited to emergency room due to moderate dyspnea and fever for about three months. On physical examination, multiple purple colored mass lesions were detected on lower back, both upper and lower extremities and right tonsillar area. Skin biopsy on mass of right lower extremity revealed Kaposi's sarcoma. On HRCT of the chest, patch bilateral, symmetric reticulonodular infiltration were founded. So, we performed sputum cytology repeatedly, we identified pneumocystis carinii cysts. Idiopathic CD4+ T-lymphocytopenia is rare and represents various clinical and immunologic states. It is perhaps more important to work harder to track the epidemiologic feature of this syndrome closely, to define the associated immune deficits carefully, and to search broadly for the cause. Further epidemiologic, immunologic, and virologic studies will aid in the characterization of this newly recognized condition.

According to the aforementioned fact, this study analyzed the brand naming change of the apartment style factory and then we exhibit the brand strategy and management by market positioning for the companies.<br/> The purpose of the brand strategy in level one concentrate into the satisfaction of the buyer's needs. The purpose in the second level get the product fame. The next level purpose obtain the acquisition of the brand image. And then marketer have to show up brand extension in fourth level. Lastly, if marketer get the performance of the intentional purpose from one to fourth levels, the goal in the fifth level choose the strategy of the individual brand and representation brand.

      • Synthesis and Characterization of Water-Soluble Conjugated Oligoelectrolytes for Near-Infrared Fluorescence Biological Imaging

        <P>Near-infrared (NIR) fluorophores attract increasing attention as a molecular marker (or probe) for in vivo and in vitro biological fluorescence imaging. Three types of new NIR fluorescent conjugated oligoelectrolytes (COEs: Q-FITBTTFI, Q-FIBBTFI, and Q-FITBBTTFI) are synthesized with quaternized ammonium ionic groups in their side-chains for water solubility. The emission wavelength is modulated in the range 600-1300 nm, by adjusting the intramolecular charge transfer in the molecular backbone based on the electron-rich fluorene (and/or thiophene) and electron-deficient benzo[2,1,3]thiadiazole (or benzo[1,2-c:4,5-c']bis[1,2,5]thiadiazole) moieties. The COEs show a remarkably larger Stokes shift (147-276 nm) compared to commercial rhodamine and cyanine dyes in water, avoiding self-quenching and interference from the excitation backscattered light. The photoluminescence (PL) quantum efficiency is improved substantially by up to 27.8% in water by fabricating a vesicular complex, COE/v, with a block ionomer, poly[(ethylene oxide)-block-(sodium 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonate)]. In vitro cellular uptake images with the COEs are obtained with good biocompatibility by confocal single-photon and two-photon microscopy. The ex vivo and in vivo images of a mouse xenograft model treated with the QFIBBTFliv exhibit a substantially stronger fluorescence signal at the tumor site than at the other organs, highlighting the potential of the COE/v as an NIR fluorescent imaging agent for the diagnosis of cancer.</P>

        Technical challenges and solutions for 10 cm level positioning accuracy towards 6G

        This paper presents insights about schemes required to provide ultra-precise positioning services for multifarious environments. It describes positioning services and their requirements, and divides the services into “living convenience” and “productivity improvement”, and the requirements into “positioning quality” and “system efficiency”. It also presents the current accuracy levels, technical challenges, and research directions of positioning schemes that are based on satellite/communication system, image, ray-tracing, and fingerprint. Ultimately, this paper presents scenarios and solutions that provide 10cm-level positioning accuracy for both outdoor and indoor environments.

        결핵균 검출을 위한 모세관 중합효소연쇄반응의 적정조건

        For detection of M. tuberculosis using hot-air capillary-thermocycler, FTC-2000[Daehan Medical System Co, Korea], We amplified 188 base pair IS986 fragment from chromosomal DNA of M. tuberculosis H37Rv strain by two-step nested method, and the concentrations of each component of polymerase chain reaction(PCR) mixture and the temperatures and times of each PCR stage were indivisually optimized. When compared to conventional heating-block method, only one tenth of reaction volume and time were required, i. e. 10ul and 10-30 minute, respectively. Final concentrations of each component at optimal condition were 0.5uM each primer, 0.2mM each dNTP, 50mM Tris-HCI(pH 8.3), 500ug/ml bovine serum albumin(BSA), 4mM MgCl₂and 0.5-1U Taq polymerase per reaction. Optimal temperatures and times of each stage were 94℃ and 1 sec of predenaturation, 45-55℃ and 1 sec of annealing, 72℃ and 10-20 sec of post-elongation, and optimal cycles of each nested-PCR were 30-50. Among various condition of capillary-PCR, BSA, annealing temperature and MgCl₂effect most critically on PCR result. At an annealing temperature of 45℃ with 3.5mM MgCl₂or 55℃ with 3mM MgCl₂, two-step nested-PCR gave greatest yield and highest sensitivity. At these optimal condition of capillary-PCR, 0.5fg of M. tuberculosis H37Rv DNA(same amout of DNA extracted from a single tubercle bacillus) was amplified effectively.

        Synthesis of Cu Nanoparticles Prepared by Using Thermal Decomposition of Cu-oleate Complex

        <P>In order to obtain well-dispersed Cu nanoparticles, we synthesized Cu nanoparticles by using thermal decomposition of Cu-oleate complex, which was prepared by the reaction with CuCl 2 and sodium oleate in aqueous condition. The resulting well-dispersed Cu nanoparticles were synthesized by autoclave. TEM image showed well-dispersed Cu nanoparticles with diameter of 8.9±1.3 nm. EDX spectrum and XRD peaks of the nanoparticles showed the highly crystalline nature of the Cu structures. The decomposition of Cu-oleate complex was analyzed with TGA and the crystallization of Cu nanoparticles was observed with XRD. UV-Vis absorption spectrum of Cu nanoparticles is also observed.</P>
