한국판 정서-행동평가시스템, 부모보고형 검사-청소년용(K · BASC-2, PRS-A) 타당화 연구 = 구성 타당도를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국판 정서-행동평가시스템, 부모보고형검사-청소년용(K․BASC-2, PRS-A)은 청소년의 성격특성과 부정적 정서증상 및 문제행동을 포괄적으로 평가하는 선별검사 도구로 종합척도는 DSM 진단기준을 근거로 평가하는 부정적 증상을 반영하는 문항들로 구성된 소척도와 이들 증상의 원인요인으로 검증된 성격특성들을 평가하는 소척도로 구성되어있다. 본 연구에서는 K · BASC-2, PRS-A가 이론적 가정을 적절히 구현하는지를 종합척도, 소척도, 그리고 문항수준에서 확인하여 부모 보고에 입각한 청소년의 정신건강 관련 선별검사로써의 유용성을 확인하였다. 이를 위해 690명의 청소년을 대상으로 첫째, 특정 임상 증상 및 그와 관련된 위험요인과 적응 탄력적 성격 특성이 반영된 K · BASC-2, PRS-A의 개별 문항에 대한 반응의 적절성 평가를 통해 문항타당도를 확인했다. 둘째, 구체적인 임상적 증상 혹은 문제행동의 특성과 특정 적응요인을 반영하는 개별 소척도와 이들의 조합으로 구성된 종합척도의 상대적 설명력에 대해 살펴봤다. 마지막으로 청소년기 가장 유병률이 높은 우울과 불안을 중심으로 본 검사에서 위험요인과 보호요인으로 가정하여 포함된 적응성과 신체화 경향의 관련성을 확인하였다. 먼저, 문항의 응답분포에 대한 적절성을 분석한 결과 각 소척도를 구성하는 문항들이 본 연구에서 가정했던 특성을 잘 반영하는 것을 확인했다. 둘째, 외현화 문제행동은 종합척도의 설명력이 상대적으로 높게 나왔고, 내면화 문제행동 종합척도의 경우 개별 소척도들의 설명력이 더 강력하게 나와 본 검사가 가정하는 성격 특성, 부정적 정서증상, 혹은 문제행동의 특성에 맞게 개별 소척도와 종합척도가 구성된 것을 확인하였다. 한편 적응성 종합척도와 그에 속하는 소척도들은 설명력이 혼재된 양상을 보였다. 셋째, 낮은 적응성과 신체화의 증가가 불안과 우울로 이어지는 경로구조모형의 적합도가 허용할 수준으로 나와 본 검사가 근간하는 임상증상에 대한 보호요인과 위험요인과의 관련성에 대한 이론적 가정을 확인하였다. K · BASC-2, PRS-A가 우리나라 청소년을 위한 포괄적 정신건강 선별검사 및 연구도구로써의 유용성과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 논의에 포함하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the construct validity of the Korean version of the Behavioral Assessment System for Children 2nd Edition, Parent Rating Scales-Adolescent Form (K · BASC-2, PRS-A). The 150-item K · BASC-2, PRS-A questionnaire was administered to a total of 690 Korean parents or caregivers(N=690) of adolescent children in middle school and high school. The Generalized Partial Credit Model based on item response theory analysis was used to review the validity of the item-level. According to the information function for each subscale, items included in Anxiety, Attention Problems, Social Skills, Leadership, and Activities of Daily Living subscales provided appropriate information across all of ability levels. Also, the results revealed that the most items’ discrimination and difficulty were appropriate whereas some items had relatively low discrimination and skewed difficulty because they aim to discriminate extreme and clinical cases based on DSM criteria or behavioral tendencies in disorder criteria. Results from Haberman analyses indicated that all of the Internalizing Problems subscales measured respective targeted area with greater reliability than the composite score where they belong. Externalizing Problems composite score measured respective targeted area with greater reliability than subscales. However, not all subscales of the Adaptive Skills composites measured their respective targeted area with greater reliability than their composite scores. Structural equation modeling was used to verify the theoretical relationship among the scales of Adaptability, Somatization, Depression, and Anxiety, to render support for construct validity. Other relevant findings, practical implications regarding the use of the K · BASC-2, PRS-A and suggestions for future research are included in the discussion.
