대학생의 사회적 문제해결력에 미치는 지각된 부모의 심리적 통제의 영향 : 자아존중감의 매개효과를 중심으로 = The Mediating Effects of Self-Esteem on the Relationship Between Parental Psychological Control and Social Problem Solving in College Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to investigate whether self-esteem would mediate the relation between parental psychological control and social problem solving of college students in emerging adulthood. The subjects included 356 college students registered in a four-year college or university in Seoul Metropolitan area. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that self-esteem functioned partially as a mediator in the relation between parental psychological control and social problem solving. The present study was found that parental psychological control continued to have valid effects in college students. The finding that the self-esteem mediated the relation between parental psychological control and social problem solving suggests that counseling interventions focusing on self-esteem can be effective in counseling practice with college students.
