교사가 지각한 학급 내 학생의 문제행동이 교사의 소진에 미치는 영향: 감정노동의 매개효과를 중심으로 = The Influence of Student Misbehavior Perceived by Teachers on Teachers Burnout: Mediating Effect of Emotional Labor

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the influence of student misbehavior on teachers`` burnout and to certify mediating effect of teachers`` emotional labor. Ultimately, the researcher will suggest the way to improve teachers`` mental health and to reduce students’ misbehavior. The subjects are 215 teachers of elementary schools located in Seoul and Gyeong-gi, South Korea. Regression analysis and bootstrap are used. This study analyzes the relation between student misbehavior and burnout of teachers. The researcher examined the mediating effect of emotional labor on the path where student misbehavior affects burnout. The result indicated that the student misbehavior affects significantly on teachers`` burnout. Teachers experiencing student misbehavior demonstrated higher level of burnout. Also, student misbehavior influenced on teachers`` emotional labor level. Lastly, the researcher verified emotional labor effects on the path where student misbehavior affects teachers`` burnout as a partial mediator. This indicates that teachers who experience student misbehavior are more likely to do emotional labor and it affects on their burnout. Based on the result, the researcher suggests practical intervention to alleviate emotional labor of elementary school teachers and providing social welfare program to prevent student misbehavior.
