예비 유아교사의 성인애착이 정서조절 능력에 미치는 영향: 공감능력의 매개효과를 중심으로 = Influence of Pre-Service Early Childhood Teachers’ Adult Attachment on Emotional Regulation: Focusing on the Mediation Effects of the Ability to Empathize

Our study aimed to investigate the relationship between adult attachment, empathy skills and emotional regulation of pre-service early childhood teachers and determine how empathy works between adult attachment and emotional regulation. For this study, data were collected from 327 students enrolled in the Department of Early Childhood Education at five universities located in the metropolitan area. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 program to perform simple Pearson correlation and multiple regression analyses. The study found that the higher the adult attachment dependence and adult attachment close of the pre-service early childhood teacher, the higher the emotional regulation ability. In addition, as shown, emotional regulation ability is not only directly affected by adult attachment close, but also indirectly affected through cognitive empathy. It was also found that the higher the adult attachment anxiety, the lower the emotional regulation ability. Furthermore, the emotional regulation ability was found to be directly affected by adult attachment anxiety and indirectly affected by emotional empathy. The study results suggest that it may be useful to develop education and programs for pre-service early childhood teachers by focusing on empathy skills as a strategic intervention. It is also expected that this could be applied and utilized as basic data for this purpose.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 예비 유아교사의 성인애착, 공감능력, 정서조절 간의 관계들을 살펴보고 공감능력이 성인애착과 정서조절 사이에 어떠한 역할을 하는지 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 위해 수도권에 소재한 5개 대학의 유아교육과에 재학 중인 학생 327명으로부터 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 활용하여 Pearson 단순적률 상관관계 분석과 다중회귀분석을 실행하였다. 연구결과, 예비 유아교사의 성인애착 의존과 친밀이높을수록 정서조절 능력이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 정서조절 능력은 성인애착 친밀에 의해직접적인 영향과 더불어 인지적 공감을 통해 간접적인 영향을 받고 있음이 나타났다. 또한, 성인애착 불안이 높을수록 정서조절 능력이 낮아지며 정서조절 능력은 성인애착 불안에 의한 직접적인 영향과 더불어 정서적 공감을 통해 간접적인 영향을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 예비 유아교사의 정서조절 능력을 함양시키기 위한 기초자료로 활용될수 있으며, 정서조절 능력을 향상시키기 위한 프로그램 개발 및 적용에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
