청소년의 가정폭력경험과 사이버폭력 관계에서 공격성의 매개효과 = Mediating Effect of Aggression on the Relationship between Family-Violence Experience and Cyber Violence in Youth

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the aggression of adolescents on the relationship between their family- violence experience and cyber violence. It's specifically meant to determine the direct effect of offering cyber violence and of being a victim on family-violence experience and their indirect effects through the medium of aggression by utilizing a path model. The subjects in this study were 1,303 secondary students who dwelled in the cities of Daejeon, Pyeongtaek, Cheongju, Iksan and Gunsan. Data were gathered from the selected students, and the findings of the study were as follows: First, the family-violence experience of the teens exerted a direct influence on offering cyber violence and being a victim, and family-violence experience was found to be one of factors to provoke cyber violence. Second, aggression served as a mediator in the relationship between family violence and cyber violence, and that was found to have a greater impact on the behavior of offering violence than that of being a victim. In other words, the adolescents who had more experiences in family violence became more aggressive, and their tendency to resolve conflicts in a violent way resulted in increasing the behaviors of offering violence and of being a victim. And that exercised a larger influence on the behavior of offering violence than that of being a victim. The findings confirmed that like the cases of violence in reality, the factor of family environments functioned as one of risk factors in cyber space and resulted in aggravating the aggressive disposition of individuals. Therefore extensive preventive efforts should be made to help improve family function, and successful intervention should be provided through related programs in early stages to prevent those who suffer violence remain tense or face heavy pressure.
