언어‧수학 교육에 대한 어머니 인식과 유아의 언어‧수학능력의 비교 = Young Children`s Language Ability and Mathematics Ability According to Mothers' Awareness of Language and Mathematics Education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was examined the extent to which young children's language ability and mathematics ability are affected by mother's awareness of language and mathematics education. Differences between high-ranked group and low-ranked group were analyzed by t-test. Results showed that children whose mothers displayed high levels of awareness of language and mathematics education showed better young children's language ability and mathematics ability than young children whose mothers did not display such high levels. By confirming the significant role of mothers in their young children's language and mathematics education these results can be an aid to parent education.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아의 언어․수학 교육에 대한 어머니의 인식이 어떠한지를 조사하여 그에 따른 유아의 언어능력과 수학능력을 비교하여 언어와 수학교육에서 어머니의 인식의 의의를 밝히는 것을 그 목적으로 하였다. 언어․수학 교육에 대한 어머니의 인식에 따른 유아의 언어능력과 수학능력을 알아보기 위하여 경기도 S시에 위치한 유아교육기관의 만5세 유아와 어머니 113명을 대상으로 수행되었다. 연구결과 언어교육에 대한 인식 수준의 차이는 유아의 언어능력 중 언어이해와 어휘력에 차이가 나타났으며, 수학능력에서는 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 수학교육에 대한 인식 수준의 차이는 언어능력에서는 차이가 나타나지 않은 반면 유아의 수학능력 중 수‧연산과 대수에서 차이가 나타나 유아의 언어․수학 교육에 대한 어머니의 인식에 따라 유아의 언어능력과 수학능력에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
