예술계열 전문대학생의 동아리활동 참여도가 진로결정자기효능감에 미치는 영향 : 동아리활동의 만족도의 조절효과를 중심으로 = The Influence of Participating in Club Activities at Art Institutes on Career Decision-making Self-efficacy: With a Focus on the Moderating Effect of Satisfaction with Club Activities

In what has become a new trend in universities, student clubs are increasingly focusing on career- associated activities rather than the use of leisure time. Thus, the purpose of this study is to present some preliminary research material to inform the formation of club activity policies in art institutes by analyzing how students` participation in and satisfaction with club activities affect career decision-making self-efficacy. Of the 300 copies of the survey that were distributed to students of three art institutes in the Seoul metropolitan area from October 4th to 31st, 2016, 288 surveys were used in the final analysis. SPSS 21.0 for Windows was used for frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis ,and regression analysis on the collected data. The results are as follows: (1) regarding the types of clubs, most were related to culture and the arts(56.6%) and most students participated in club activities for the purpose of having fun(35.1%). Most students answered that club activities were `helpful` with regards to the ir career(49.0%). These results suggest that art institute students find club activities related to culture and the arts to be both enjoyable and helpful career-wise. (2) As students participate more in club activities, their readiness, independence, and certainty of their career choice increases. (3) We confirm the moderating role of satisfaction with club activities in the influence of participation in club activities on career decision-making self-efficacy. This study provides empirical evidence that club activities related to culture and the arts in art institutes have a tangible effect on students` career efficacy. The findings of this study imply that club activities through which students can develop their dreams and creativity can be of more practical help with respect to their careers than the rigid administrative support policies offered by schools, presenting implications for the orientation of club policies at art institutes.
