The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the Holland's the course group consultation program on the course career maturity and the course career decision-making self efficacy of the college students.
To achieve this aim, the subjects were 24 drawn from C college university in Changwon city, who volunteered to participate in this program and they were assigned to the experimental and control groups. The former had an Holland's the Course Group Consultation Program applied while the latter were given no treatments.
The investigator applied the Holland's the Course Group Consultation Program to the experiment group total 8 sessions were provided and each session lasted for 240 minutes.
This instrument used in this study was Career Maturity Inventory(CMI), and Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Scale(CDMSES), each group was measured by pretest-posttest. the data were processed by SPSS program. The differences between the two groups were examined and the results were as follows:
First, under the hypothesis that 'The experiment group that used the Holland's the Course Group Consultation Program-using will have significant differences in their career maturity inventory before and after the program compared to the control group.' there were found significant differences in such all the sub-areas as decisiveness, involvement, independence, orientation, compromise.
Second, the second hypothesis, 'The experiment group that used the Holland's the Course Group Consultation Program-using will have significant differences in their career decision making Self-Efficacy Scale before and after the program compared to the control group.' there were found significant differences in such all the sub-areas as vocational information, create an objective, establish of plan, solution of problem and self-estimate.
After examine both the hypotheses, 'The experiment group that used the Holland's the Course Group Consultation Program-using will have significant differences in their career maturity inventory and career decision mating Self-Efficacy Scale before and after the program compared to the control group.' the following conclusions were drawn; the comparison between the experiment group and the control group confirmed the significant differences in all sub-areas.
