A Study on the Minimalism Effect of Movie Posters

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The movie poster is the most important means of communication that connects the audience and the producer as a result of a design that implicitly aggregates the flow of the movie. Most of the current poster designs explain or promote the film through important scenes of the film or by exposing the main actor, but posters are also considered as a work and are judged to be the way to convey the workability of the poster correctly. Original posters and posters based on minimalism show a big difference in depth and imagination of the work, apart from the difference in providing information. As a result of the survey, it was suggested that an implicit design was needed to contain all the information of the movie, not the partial scene of the movie or the face of the main character. In addition, it was studied that it was gradually necessary to produce posters that employed a method to simplify the main character of the movie and stably separate the background.
